@syvilharold There's some good tutorials on youtube to help you get an emulator and get it set up and everything, it's pretty easy if you follow the instructions. Once you download the emulator and have it all set up to play a game, just get an iso file of the game you want. I usually use emuparadise.me to get the games.

That party sucks. Hix in the back row casting ofensive magic. He is a low MAG character you know and Luca has fire resistance making that fire magic caster Hix pretty lame...

this fight is def a wake up call. the whole game to this point is cake then all of a sudden u run into luca blight and if your not prepared u will get slaughtered.this is pretty much the only hard battle in the game if u can win this fight u can win all the rest that follow.the boss of the game is kinda hard but not rele.thats one of the few beefs i have with this game its just too easy but that being said its still one of my favorite games of all time
I know. I BARELY defeated him. On the third battle, he killed everyone in my party except for the hero, who was near death. Pretty much I had one attack left, with nothing to heal me with. Miraculously, I defeated him with the last normal attack, and the hero gained 10 levels.
Hell yeah, you got Humphrey in the 3rd party. That guy's a fuckin' tank in combat but a little weak [and slow] in the MAGdef. dept. I remember there was a trick to bypass that problem (without using GS cheats) but I forgot. . .
That's hardly overpreparation. That sounds like the bare minimum. Maybe level 38-39.
You only need one good party to defeat him. I let the first two get cut to pieces because it takes less time than actually dealing with Suikoden II's ridiculously cumbersome character/inventory management.
Honestly, I give the nod to Xenogears as best rpg ever. But this one definitely resonates with me as second best. It manages to juggle a lot of characters in just 60 hours of gameplay.
People make this fight harder than it needed to be, all you had to do to crush this schmuck was put the fire eater rune on your hero, and he does NO damage to him, except on regular and counter-attacks.
I love Luca theres never gunna be a villian like him, he didn't even have a true rune or anything and he was still umbeatable. I'd love to see Luca vs Yuber my moneys on Luca he takes an army on his own.
At the first time i fight againts that crazy Luca, how can he have such a devastating power until he can bring down 15 people from my 3 team by himself. His power is far beyond my expectation LOL
the duel was hella easy...the duels always are!...u only need to be strong...and be decently equiped...then u only need to attack...not defend or special attack...cuz if u attack normaly u will always cause damage and ur not gambling it all on luck

For those struggling, you just need to take about 30 min to prepare for him. Plan your 18 party members, it takes 4 trips to do this. 1 party at a time, take them to the forest path to toran rep. level them all max with a few fights, with the money you get from the fights, upgrade there armor and runes, and sharpen to the point where its not to expensive, so they wont have max weapon sharpen. but thats ok. Itll take 4 trips, Hero+5+5+5 then hero + 2 other party leaders on the last trip

Well, people worship Kefka, because at the time of his creation probably the most unique villian in video game, and also the least likely character to be the last boss. He was a weak coward that would run away and fail during the first half of the game, only to slowly amass his strength and eventually become a god. Luca is a great villian, don't get me wrong, but he had everything going for him, heir apparent, loyalty of the troops, and already incredibly powerful. Whereas, Kefka had nothing.
Yeah there is speculation that yuber has a true rune not sure if its true because yuber could be imortal cause he's a demon, but in a 1 on 1 fight i'd say luca would win how unbeatable was he in suikoden 2 and he didn't even have a true rune.
Actually Luca was the owner of the true beast rune, he couldn't use it to the fullest extend because it was Jowy who kept it sealed with the dark sword rune, it was then passed to leon silverburg
Actualy yeah he owned the beast rune but he never had it equiped, cause if he had it when he died your army would of gotten hold of it. So all his strengh his is own thats what makes him so cool.

Y'know, one of the cool things about the Suikoden games is that they're not all that hard. You can use characters you like instead of only the heavy-hitters. :)

nah not really all three barttles if you defeat him each one take abotu equal amounts of his HP in each battel so by the third his hp is gone but if you died the first two the last one would be way longer then this one. since he has just a little bit over 9000hp and killing him in three battles would do that since the duel leaves him with what the limit wants you to beat him till.....i know mostly all about this game i've beat it too many times><

You have to Run/Let Go 50 times before you can beat him in a race. Think it's after Greenhill falls that you can try for him in Radat.

It only happened once and by god I´ve played that two games a lot.
If I remeber correctly it was a combination of rage and water rune and it made 9999dmg. Had to get help to close my mouth it was total awesomeness.

In my opinion Sephiroth is the coolest villain of all times, and nothing can top him. But of course people have different opinion on things.

Yeah there is speculation that yuber has a true rune not sure if its true because yuber could be imortal cause he's a demon, but in a 1 on 1 fight i'd say luca would win how unbeatable was he in suikoden 2 and he didn't even have a true rune.

Actually Luca was the owner of the true beast rune, he couldn't use it to the fullest extend because it was Jowy who kept it sealed with the dark sword rune, it was then passed to leon silverburg

Actualy yeah he owned the beast rune but he never had it equiped, cause if he had it when he died your army would of gotten hold of it. So all his strengh his is own thats what makes him so cool.

Y'know, one of the cool things about the Suikoden games is that they're not all that hard. You can use characters you like instead of only the heavy-hitters. :)

nah not really all three barttles if you defeat him each one take abotu equal amounts of his HP in each battel so by the third his hp is gone but if you died the first two the last one would be way longer then this one. since he has just a little bit over 9000hp and killing him in three battles would do that since the duel leaves him with what the limit wants you to beat him till.....i know mostly all about this game i've beat it too many times><

Just like in the first game you must have all 108 Stars in your army otherwise you won't get the perfect ending.

Lol, great battle, if I had to choose something I didn't like about this game it'd be that it has like 20 million party members >:I Flik sucks IMO >.> I hated having to remove someone for him
