  • Can i connect my guitar and play with the sound of the program or it can be used only with a keyboard???

  • @billkorakas If it's a midi guitar you can. Otherwise it's better to get "Guitar Rig" for effects.

  • i see your doing it with a keyboard, can i plug my acoustic guitar in and get these sounds, this way i can play exactly what i want but get the sounds?

  • HEy, I have a question... You know how in Ministry of Rock 2, you're able to play two instruments in stereo, one on the right side of your speakers and the other on the left, to get a fuller combined sound? Can you easilly do the same thing with the 7 string Ibanez from Ministry of Rock 1, and the 7 stringed Gibson from Ministry of Rock 2?

  • I'm holding the ministry of rock box in my hands right now, waiting for the installation to finish :D

  • Thank you for the demonstration!

  • Классс!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • where can i buy this tool and how much does it cost because im seriously interested in this program!

  • Cool, but does anyone knows if there is some lib for playing funk-music, that would bee interesting.

  • yeah defanatly great vst guitar sound's more like a guitar to vst iv heard. but got admitt i do find it hard to find normal vst witch is more realistic sound great job on that vst.

  • I been doing music for a while, im a noob yet. and probably always will be. so i wont buy this xD i rather play with my free vst plugins :P but i must say this is what music cration is about using ministry of rock XDDDDDDDD i just love this so much!

  • I want this and quantum leap... but don't like computers or whatever get a Line 6 pod or fractal FX processor.

  • Can you PLEASE make an Video about Stormdrum2?

I want to buy it but I don't know if it is good!

    PLEASE HELP ME!!

  • I've been watching this video since 2008...and every time I watch it I get depressed due to the fact that I haven't bought it yet. CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT!!!

  • @OfficialSilentVoice

And now ministry of rock 2 has arrived!, but don't act now wait a few years and 3 will arrive :)

  • How do I get this plugin?

  • hey guys if u want to see how heavy this program can go.......visit my channel, just uploaded my first track using only ministry of rock and it rocks, thrash style!

  • I wish this had an amp built in like electri6ty does.

  • @RagnarokHybrid yes you would. this comes as a VSTI plugin. FL supports this format :)

  • soo good

  • 3:17 .... damn it's so real.

  • ill take the bait !.

    YOUR SO WRONG.

do some research and you will find that most music these days will have used some vst instrument's within the song.

recent ones come to mind are whitney houston's "I look to you" used Superior Drummer® 2.0/seal's soul album was mainly produced with vst instrument's.

    regards Chris

  • YAY fight back, im with ya m8, computer music is the BEST!

  • @floridamusiccompany the notes u played between 2:30 - 2:36, are they from a real song or did you figure them out by yourself?

Please write what are the chords?

  • @floridamusiccompany hmmm truu but this takes away all talent...absolute fucking idiots who cant playguitar can make motherloading solos with it, and not know the difference of a E and G. GP6 still keeps MUSIC in the equation with notation

  • You're right ! And famous composers as Danny Elfman, Thomas Newman or James Newton Howard does actually use the East West Quantum Leap in their film scores !

  • @sonofhendrix , wow, you compare vst's with a program like Guitar Pro, which has nothing to do one with the other.....Guitar Pro is a program, a vst is a sound source. It's like comparing a guitar amp with a guitar case....

  • I don't think you quite got the point of what a VTS is. Unlike Guitar Pro, a VST is not itself a sequencer, it is just a "virtual instrument" that plugs into a proper sequencer, like Pro Tools, Logic, Sonar, or even Garage Band. Combining these two things gives you the ability to compose using these sounds.

As to the utility of VSTs, you'd be surprised how much music you hear today uses VSTs extensively. Particularly TV and video game soundtracks, as well as film trailers.

  • @sonofhendrix

Also basically every single film, video game, and TV composer uses MIDI for they're release product most of the time!

It's just easier, and cheaper for them, than to hire a full fledged orchestra.

And for a band, you don't have any hassle with the band members for writing your own music. :P

It's so easy, you can create many piece in a couple hours!

  • Holy shit that guitar 02:30 really kicks major ass

  • yep :-D

  • This kind of VST makes me feel obsolete, playing a real guitar.

  • @DarkBlazerX Real guitar will never be replaced by software man...softwares cant create the human feel...the slide of the finger and the strings....sure it sound great and I will buy it cuz I'm a pianist more than a guitarist but man,,,it won't be ever as good as a real good guitar player recorded with mics;)

  • the notes u played between 2:30 - 2:36, are they from a real song or did you figure them out by yourself?

  • it's just a bunch of chords arpeggiated to show of the sound.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah I liked that progression alot!

  • @muziqchild Please write what are the chords?

  • i want this for my filmscoring

  • The bass and guitar don't sound completely realistic, but I believe it's the closest anyone has gotten via VST. Great job. The drums sound phenomenal.

  • These aren't totally all synthesized. all the sounds are recorded in studios using real instruments. This explains East West's exceptional replication and HUGE file size. Plus youtube is also responsible for sound quality loss.

  • They're aren't synthesized AT ALL, any of the samples.

Everything is chromatically sampled, nothing is synthed.

  • Thats pretty sick stuff... lol.

  • depends on many settings

  • wow .. east west on the top of their game

  • check what did with east west.

  • How I can add or play samples in .ews on this program ?

  • Wow. I'm in love with a vst o.o

  • son todos trolos estos ke usan lo EWQL

  • it sounds so fucking realistic.

  • All VST instruments in the East West PLAY/Quantum series are truly state-of-the-art. It simply doesn't get any better :)

  • I want this VST so badly!!!

  • That's freakin' epic. Ministry of Rock continues to impress.

I'm looking into some alternatives, though, just for comparison. I've found Prominy LPC, are there any other guitar-based VSTs of this quality?

  • I prefer Prominy. Though some would disagree. You get a lot more authentic guitar stuff out of Prominy, but it requires a bit of effort. You also have your choice in distortion, where as with MoR it seems that you don't? MoR's guitars sound kind of midi to me, though.

  • A real music producer has his own set of distortions / amp modeling. (such as Guitar rig)

so i'd rather have tons of HQ clean untouched samplekits to run through FX, Amps ETC.

  • Which is one reason why I like prominy more. Prominy has teh clean untouched samples that you run through sims... Not to mention many more articulations and stuff. By "your choice in distortion" I meant that you weren't restricted to the few setups they give you with the sampler.

  • im very impressed with the MOR but i just checked out this prominy you are talking about and WOW

  • For guitar, I wasn't too impressed with MoR. The Ibanez is pretty cool, but mainly for bread and butter guitar parts. If you want a straight up guitar performance, there is nothing that compares to either a real guitar or Prominy's sample libraries. Check the prominy forums for some of Javi Perera's stuff. He abuses the hell out of the libraries.

  • difficult to say if promminy is better,

a Gibson Les Paul VS 2 Gibson Les Paul and a Ibanez Universe, prominy give more authentic sound, only if you have not other choice in Ministry of Rock than choice any of Amp similator included... But it's the only choice we got ? i am not sure.

I think we can have the clean Guitar sound without anny effect from MoR and put other effect you want.

Btw i will soon have my copy of MoR, and i will upload some video about it's possibily.

  • With the Ibanez and I think the Standard les paul, there are clean samples you can add your own effects to. I bought MoR and it's good in it's own way. Just not for guitar oriented tracks. With Prominy you have all kinds of articulations with long play times. MoR has SOME articulations with short samples. (ie:vibrato notes cut off after 2-3 seconds in MoR) 64+gigs of Just guitar samples with Prominy and 20Gb split between drums/bass/guitars. Just doesn't compare to me. Still great though.

  • The Prominy sounds Promising.

Just checked the site, sound amazing!!!

    Thanks for the info.

Any other recomendation of what ever? Latin, symphonic, whatever.....

  • Man these VSt's are like on another level of performance! EastWest has motivated me to save up the money to get EVERY single one! keep a good look out for me cause' I'm coming for these God-like Vst's!!!

  • Damn right homie!!!,I for one urge very musician in the world to purchase every single one of EW's products.Just a s I've set myself to do.These are THE BEST & MOST COMPLETE SAMPLES FOR ACOUSTICS OUT ON THE MARKET.Everything from brass, strings, guitars,SHIT THE GOT IT ALL.Man have u heard the fucking legato violin on Gypsy?Absolutely superb!!!!

  • HELL YEAH! I heard that Violin...it was like watching the Titanic and shit! lol these VST's are like when Goku turned SSJ and whooped Frieza's ass! lmao...and Symphonic Choirs is freakin' AWESOME! you can spell something into the VST and the Choirs will say exactly what you spelled! like man! imagine making a track and having something like that in there! pure bonkers bro!

  • wow this is amazing

  • am i stupid, paranoid or both but isn't this Jonh Petrucci?? :D

  • Hey guys!! Is ministry of rock a guitar simulator like amplitube???

Or do i need a midi controller?

  • amplitude is a guitar amp simulator where you need a guitar input but ministry of rock is a vsti with actual sounds.

  • diossssssssssss muero por eeellllllllllllllllllll

  • Oh how badly I want it! Sooooo badly!!!

Too bad it's such an expensive son of a bitch! :(

  • Same here

  • my personal favorite is native insturments software, but this looks like some good stuff here. Been a while but in the meantime, iv found out my old friends are balls Deep now.

    ballz.

i cant speak to much about this or many other progs, but this sounds great, and my mind is doing flipflops.

Wish i still had my MIDI, but it was lost years back, b4 i ever got into my electronics setup...

    which is too bad.

Well blabla blah, i think iv said enough ;D

  • what native instruments software package has a whole rock band? do they make something like that?

  • dude who cares!!! lol

  • I use sooo many VST plugins and Thousands of Dollars worth of VST Instruments. They say Vienna is the best out there. 550 GB of sample data and in my own opinion it still doesn't hold a candle to East West Quantum Leap. These sounds are too perfect

  • 2nd guitar sounds so perfect

  • great stuff!!! Nice work.

  • wow this virtual instrument is amazing! it includes everything I would need in one plugin! how does it behave with memory? is it a CPU hog?

  • wow this is nice, how much is it?

  • a lot

  • like 400 or 500!

  • is that really the software???? he's not playing on guitar ,right? OMG

  • your a dick, theres a large amount of highly intelligent FL Users

  • The samples are marvelous, very impressive.

  • CAN THIS BE A PLUGIN FOR FL STUDIO?

  • the answer is not that hard to find. A quick ctrl+f search for VST will tell you.

I mean you know what a VST is right?

  • yes of course, it is a VST plugin, fl studio supports VST

  • this software is one of the only things that makes 64 bit vista worth having lol

  • Yeah.. lol

  • very good......for a computer program

  • o.o! so nice

  • give me it, give me it!

    I want it!

  • Comment removed

  • your accent is cool its american / british haha

  • Ala Pierce Brosnan.

  • this is amazing!!! i need to get this as soon as possible...this is the best electric guitar emulator i have ever heard

  • It's not an emulator. They're sampled sounds. I've bought Goliath and Symphonic Orchestra. They're awesome! Quantum Leap provides high-quality sound. (But I'd really like to try out Symphobia as well. :P But it's a bit expensive)

  • O really lol. yeah they are insanely OP but they are worth it.

  • OOOOOOOOOOO YEAH !!!! MTF !!! very GOOD

  • hello i can import a midi, anda transform to a real sound, whit this program,

  • yep

  • Is it possible to get sponsored by East West?

  • Sounds Amazing! But its so Fu***g Expensive.... But its the Best Sound ive ever heard for a Guitar VST

  • I want this but it cost very mutch, but i gues if you want quality you have to pay ! :) Maybe gonna ask santa :D

  • i've wrote alot of midi songs that i want converted into DECENT sounding songs

does anyone know if this software has some kind of import feature that i can use to import my midi tracks??

  • sorry no you need some recording software that supports the software as a plug in.

    regards Chris

  • Great video, Chris. I had another Midi related question for you. I too have a ton of songs in Midi that I would like to start converting into "real" sounding songs. Could you please elaborate a bit more on how that could be done using MoR? I am currently using a MiaMIDI soundcard, E-MU Xboard as a Midi controller, and I also have Sonar which I believe supports MoR as a plug in. Thanks a lot!

  • @floridamusiccompany fl studio works gr8 wit a vst like dis!

  • Yeah but I don't know if it will do you any good if you don't know the dynamics of VST and ReWire. To translate them you will need to use EWQL as a VST in a program that reads MIDI files such as Cubase, or FL Studio

  • @Mcleody

while many people use a DAW for something like that, you could try using SynthFont (free) to render MIDIs with soundfonts / VSTs. Programs like Reason would work also

  • Still haven't purchased this one yet.

Got Drum Kit From Hell though.

    ...

    Fuck yeah... :D

  • where can i get this

  • sweet

  • seems a really good solution to me for my melodic metal compositions! It really sounds great!

  • I don't know how good it is on playing Power chords though dude. Or any kind of chords but it sounds BADASS! Just think of what kind of metal compositions can be made! =D

  • This is an efficient Standalone. I like it.

  • any demo available?

  • You can always save your money. It may take time, but it will be worth it.

  • So, what's it like when you try to emulate tremolo picking?

  • I WANT THIS SO BAD!

  • yeah, me too. like lots...

  • ministry of rock stands at the top of my shopping list.

im in love with the bend simulation.

but first i need an additional HDD to host the entire library, lol.

  • wow i never tought guitar could be so well rendered :o

  • Holy crap. The learning curve is like a year. Round robin does make a huge difference though. ...So fun.

  • As I started the install, towards the end of disk one, I got a problem: Error 1721 there is a problem with this winows installer package. A program required for this install to coumplete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Any ideas?

  • Yes - contact your support personnel. It's their job to help you, provided you've a valid license.

  • I have the same problem can u help?

  • Coming in today supposedly. Whats with soundsonline not having free shipping? That was dumb

  • Is this so eaey to use that someone who doesn't know how to play an instrument can use it?

  • Nope, you need at least a MIDI enabled keyboard and some basic understanding about music theory and engineering. Otherwise you'll get nowhere with this. It's not a game but something for professionals.

  • this loos like a normal vst for me. it could be helpful to have some music theory skills but it`s not necessary

  • I guess the most important thing is to know how it should sound in real life, then try the different articulations. I have had it now for one day, and it does work, and actually sounds quite good. It just requires some tweaking, it's obviously it works best with sequences and not real time (for the round robbin to work). Anyway, with two day's experience, that's what I can say. I bought it for the guitars.

  • So, I guess it's 1½ days then.

  • wow thats crazy

  • i have pro tools on mac pro. and if i buy this product do i need any other software to run this product as plug-in? other ppl said i have to get Konpakt. i need help on this one . thank you very much

  • I heard that you do need Kontakt 3 to host the east west sound libraries. This can then be run through logic or whatever.

I heard a rumour that East West are going to be selling their own program which can be used like Kontakt 3 but it comes with the sound libraries

  • as far as mac pro goes, i dont know. but i have a pc and i use this program. all you need is a sequencer (fl studio or logic pro) and you should be good to go

  • do i need to buy the ilok thing with this program? Or can it work just by entering the code?

  • yes you need an ilok.

click the blue link under subscribe for more info.

    regards Chris

  • it's a little bit scary, that you only need keys to make music today.. but thank God, that it will never be the same as it's made by humans.

  • crap i knew there was something wrong with me.

    regards un-human Chris

  • i'm talking about humans together, not a man with keys alone. however it's not a bad thing.

  • it was sampled by humans, and as you hit the keys it is being made by a human, and each human making this and performing will want to make it sounding uman

you'll never know what producer will use this and we'll be blind to it

  • it's starting to become scary with how amazing technology is getting

  • jesus man, ewql makes some crazy shit..... damn them.... everything they make sounds amazing!!

  • amaaaziiinngggg

  • agreed!!! xD

  • Logic is for moms

  • So, is getting feedback one of the articulations, or does it come in colossuss? Or neither... I love feeback and I heard it in Corporate Critters.

  • this software works in a ELECTONE HS7? or is only for PC?

  • this looks great. i have to try it.

  • the best software!man...so realistic

  • Cool

  • Did the reviewer called the convolution reverbs "convulsive reverbs"?

  • yes i did.

i also notice i sometimes use "verb" instead of "re verb"

    regards Chris

  • Fair enough, Chris. Looks like a good library.

  • nice sampler synth wrong solo for commerical :]

  • solo for commerical?

  • it's about time they do something for rock instead of all this rap stuff

  • omfg i want this so much!!!!!!!

  • Can this software do the recording? or you have to use another type of sofeware to record?

  • yeah the second one :). if you want to do professional recording you need a Sequencer

like Cubase, Logic Pro or Pro Tools

  • does this show up as an audio unit in logic ?

  • yes

  • This program is neat!!! I wish I had the money to buy it though.

  • sounds great! does it rewire with Acid or reason?

  • no i think this works only as a plugin or standalone.

  • Hello!

    It sounds amazing!

Does this soft work well as a plug in for Cubase 4?

    Thanks

    Benoit

  • I'm using it as a plugin for Cubase 4 right now. I use the 64bit plugin... but it works both ways. And it's amazing.

  • Thanks

    I´m considering buying it

  • yes of course

  • Also, does this plug in to protools without any other software needed? I know for the Prominy LPC I need to get the konkadt2 palyer.

  • rtas support as standard so no problem.

    regards Chris

  • hey Chris,

How do i get hold of you. I think I will be in the market to purchase this soon and i would like to talk to you about it.

  • How does this compare with the prominy LPC? I have heard both and am trying to decide between the two. Anyone have compared the two and knows which one is the better buy?
