First of all, it was the Democrat sponsors of Fannie and Freddie (eg. Barnie Frank and his ex-Boyfriend) that managed to get us into the shit hole we are in now. Second, I am not totally against the bail-out but as a matter of principle I believe in a Laissez Faire approach to economics. Third those people should not have bought loans they couldn't pay for. Fourth (my this list is getting long) the war is won, and Obama will pull us out, and I am glad we stayed. And Fifth I love America!!!

My ex e-mailed and said she is finding it to be a very hard decision on who to vote for,so I was looking for information to pass on to her relecting my 'Obama-view'.
This song conveys a lot of that info.

There is, to me, a whole lot of nastiness, if not down-right viciousness in the wind (on both sides).

The last line is the only line I hesitated on. I stand by it. He lied consistently about Ayers Rezko and Wright. WUO trained in Cuba to overthrow our government. Ayers may not be working directly for the campaign but Mike Clompsky is. Dohrn is working very close and has served in many close positions with Obama. I could not believe people would elect Bush even once - let alone twice. I WISH he had done real well made me admit - even if I disagreed with him a lot - that he was a good president. That would have been better for everybody. We could have used a good president these 8 years.
In the same way I hope Obama is able to be a good president and win you over somewhat - even if you disagree with him. Even if you disagree with him a lot.

You seem like a nice enough person, but sorry, there is no being won over by a man who so clearly holds no love for this nation, its history, or its people. He has chosen time & again to surround himself with people who hate America, & who call for its destruction.
Bush was an imperfect President, but so are they all. He saw America through 9-11, the resulting economic maelstrom, & was determined to NOT allow the attack to ignite a world war.
Yet, his bipartisan efforts, led to his downfall.

Thanks, you seem nice too. There isn't space to argue here but I don't think the President got himself, his party, and the country into their current situations via bipartisanship.
Looking back, I remember I gave him respect - the benefit of a doubt. I didn't switch to his side on every issue but I wanted him to succeed for the USA's sake.
I'm just hoping people give Obama the respect I gave Bush. You won't agree with everything he tries. But please give him the benefit of a doubt.

What caused your loss of respect for Bush? As a Conservative, he was strong on many issues, but on Education, he lost the base, & my Dem friends on legislation co-authored by Ted! Immigration. Again he inflamed the base, backing an issue that found favor with Dems.
