This game is completely worth it. Its waht the survival horror genre has been waiting for, and its exactly what the SH series needed. The psche of it all is what we've all been wanting from silent hill all along. It actually gets under your skin. :D

@oichi12 Cuz you can't do what you'd do/see what you'd see (like monsters in SH) in rl without being clinically insane or getting arrested. I like Uncharted 2's online multiplayer...but if I were to go to the nearest college campus and sling lead at people with russian accents, I'd be in trouble. And this guy not even throwing a punch or grabbing a rock to protect himself makes little sense. Not saying the game sucks, but that makes no sense.

you also use a wii if you want to play the best version of resident evil 4, or to play retro games without having to go buy old consoles to do so, or to play games without using the same controller that we've been stuck with for the past decade. (all of them have been extremely similar, the only differences being the location and names of the buttons on the right, the position of the right analog stick, and the number of shoulder buttons.) i admit, i prefer ps3. but the wii is damn good too.

I love RE4: Wii Edition, cant wait to get Umbrella Chronicles. But I really wish they werent on-rails games. I mainly bought my Wii for all the RE games and the new Silent Hill (this one) but its really upsetting me that Capcom keeps making on-rails shooters and nothing else. I want them to do what they did with the GameCube, make some good, classic RE games while making the action games for the PS3.

Yes those games are good. You will notice nintendo manages to be the almost sole provider of these games. If nintento didn't do so the wii would be sunk. Also any third party games made would have faired better on a real system, if said games weren't cross platform already. In that case that already did.

It's funny how people are saying this is bad just from watching one video. It's a great game, I beat it twice and I'm on my third play through. No, I do not like this game, the movement is cool, but little glitchy. AND THEN there's the spots where you have to run to the exit while being chased by monsters. GARBAGE. These sequences are horrible and made me stop playing the game 1 hour after I played it.

I loved the second one, the first one was ok but not the best. I didn't like the third one much at all, mainly cause you had to play as a girl and I'm not a girl. The fourth one is one of the best games I've ever played in my life, though, it should have been a spinoff and not in the main series since it was a different kind of game. Origins was another great one. I didn't like Homecoming much, they screwed up what made SH great. I'm looking forward to this "reimaging" title.

As a matter of fact, probably i would not. I am a male, and playing as a male that somewhat resembles me really makes the game more fun. I remember in GTA SA, I was a bit upset that I had to play as a black character, but not because I'm racist, because I want someone that looks like me. I don't like playing as something I'm not, it makes it seem unreal to me. When I play RE 2, I always play as Leon with the Leon disk, the Claire disk usually just collects dust.

male is more in the sprite of silent hill, the female in SH3 wasn't, In my opinion a smart idea, this is because Silent Hill was always a type of subconsious place, a type of ever-existing hell, A type of escape for the weary. Now this is more of a problem for the male, for most men don't express there feelings. This is something SH 1&2 did right. SH3 was about (sorry I forgot her name), and her family. Not a good story. I could explain why SH 1&2 were good but I don't have enough letters left.
