Yes, Mobutu was an evil man may his soul burn in hell forever. Lumumba was a national hero to the Congo and the Congolese people, a great and courageous man. And if I am not mistaken the late great Franco, was sent to prison many times by Mobutu. Yusuf Abdul-Malik
Mobutu was fucking evil man. He thought he was god. The irony is that he's now dead. He is a dead man. God is eternal, without beginning or end. Mobutu killed Lumumba and his friends with the help of the CIA, he took the power and, for more than 25 years of his presidency, this crap destroyed our country, RD Congo. He killed whoever didn't think like him. He stole his own people money and he put that money in banks in Europe. Mobutu was a trash. I'm glad he's gone.
I have a theory that the Belgians and later Mobutu encouraged and supported music to thrive in Congo in order to divert the Congolese from the business of developing serious political leadership and education. I read somewhere that at Independence Congo had only 9 university graduates. The murder of Lumumba and members of his cabinet almost decapitated the entire Congolese political elite, and created the space for musicians like "Dr" Nico, Franco, Tabuley etc to become the new social elites.
na sengi na motu nionso oyo ayebi kombo ya ba camarade ya lumumba ,ba oyo ba kangamaki elongo na ye ba zali mibale na photo oyo, pe bazalaki ba nani, bokomela ngai
Tell you what, this song should be the Congolese national anthem! Franco, if anybody, knew then Lumumba's murder meant the end of the Congolese Independence...Thanks again for posting, Aboubacar!

Obama and his Americans said it is Africa who caused African problems : Who
killed Lumumba ?
Who put Mubutu in power ?
Was it Africa ?
Or was it the U.S and Belgium ?
I don't think the U.S has any right to give lessons to any country at all.
