They have some need to feel important or to feel a purpose in life which they don't otherwise have. Basic physics and properties of metals would tell us that it would be theoretically impossible for the twin towers to have collapsed. The towers were brought down at nearly free fall speed as you would see in a controlled demolition which implies there was no resistance whatsoever. Never has a steel building collapsed through a fire or plane crash.
@GaryRyuuu A building has never been hit by a modern jet either. The impact compromises the structure slightly. Once a beam is bent, even slightly, it loses most of it's strength. Throw in the heat from a serious fire & it collapses. It doesn't take lots of heat to weaken steel. You dont have to melt it to weaken it. It even works diff when you are welding & bending on a hot day vs a cold day. There is nothing at all odd about how the building collapsed. You clearly don't understand steel well.

@GaryRyuuu Well the issue is that Steel weakens at 1400 degrees, the fire burning inside the WTC was roughly 1800 degrees. It's more of a surprise that the structure stayed standing as long as it did (considering that the majority of the steel supports would have been taken out or damaged by the initial impact) especially when you take into consideration the immense weight that was resting on these weakening supports.

Two types of energy came into play, kinetic and potential energy, both of which transferred at impact. What you need is one credible witness out of the 1000's that would need to be involved in a conspiracy like this or some physical evidence. Until then is is all just opinion.

@WillShakespeare2007 Building 7 is the biggest concern for me. That allied with the way towers 1 and 2 fell. I'm not saying that burning jet fuel wouldn't compromise the structural integrity of the steel without melting it, but for both to fall in that fashion? It's really hard to get a tall building to fall straight down. It's too much of a stretch for me to believe we were relatively lucky twice. Similar to Oswald...not physically possible.
@mcnesta80 - I can only go on the papers produced and peer reviewed on this subject by actual experts in this field and also the video from the day. All peer review published experts believe the planes caused the collapse. Up to this point there has not been a single paper that has passed the peer review process and then been published in a respected scientific journal regarding a controlled demolition. So I must ask what do you know that stands against the entire scientific community please?
But if Prof Jones has done tests and has proved that he has found this residue in the dust from samples taken from the WTC, what is there to dispute about it?.
Remember ANY research or analysis that has been done by anyone who is in anyway government related is void because the government is under deep suspicion, and you don't accept evidence from a suspect.
@louisevale2 - As this is not his area of expertise and not only his entire university staff but all peer reviewed scientific publications have rejected his findings it doesn't really seem like enough to warrant a government investigation.
This is why I would personally look for some actual evidence. I'm sure if there was a conspiracy involving hundreds if not thousands of people there would be some evidence. It seems impossible if it were true that after ten years there's not evidence at all.
The thing is, some people say that after all this time, if it was a conspiracy somebody would have had to come forward to blow the whistle so to speak.
But even if one person did that, he/she would simply be dismissed and labeled a conspiracy nut just like everybody else who quite rightly questions the official story.

@louisevale2 - Did you know that with almost all plane crashes many of the families are left demanding further answers. It is very hard for people to accept a screw broke and they lost there entire family. This doesn't change the facts and is not even near to being evidence.

You have moved onto the Pentagon but again there is no evidence for what you are saying. Many people saw the plane before it hit. There were people on board that made phone calls before it hit. These little things that conspiracy theorist claim are impossible simply never hold up to scrutiny.

I'd be right with you on that if a single one of those papers gave a believable account of the mechanics of the buildings falling straight down in an effectively complete implosion. Refer me to a paper that explains that & I'll rethink my position. I have faith in the process in the long term though.

The 9/11 commission was NOT independent, and bush didn't want it anyway and he only gave in after pressure from the victims family's, Bush and Chaney didn't want to Testify in front of the commission and only gave in again after pressure was put on them, then they heavily dictated the terms and no record of what they said was allowed, THAT IS SCANDALOUS.
In continuation from my post below, The first head of the 9/11 commission was Henry Kissenger......a cover up artist, and he only stepped down after he was investigated by the victim's family's.
The one who decided what got in the 9/11 commission report in the end was part of or helped the Bush administration and he refused to resign.
All evidence and testimony that contradicted the official story was ignored and omitted, and the final report was full of lies and the investigation was limited.

I don't think it is asking to much to expect some sort of tangible evidence to go with this vast conspiracy theory. Especially when that theory would need around 1000 participants, military equipment, national communication and high explosives. Where is the evidence for any of this?
I would also like to know how far up the wall (or how high up off the ground) the hole was in the pentagon, and i'm talking about the 16ft hole, that was made BEFORE the wall collapsed, because the distance from the bottom of a 757's engines to the tip of the aircraft's nose is about 20ft this means that if the hole was at this height or less, that aircraft would have had to have been flown at full speed with it's engines buried or skimming the ground with a lousy pilot.
Yeah, and the real interesting thing about building 7 is that it was the furthest building away from the WTC towers, yet it completely collapsed in 6.5 seconds whereas WTC 3, 4, 5 and 6 were much closer to the twin towers and was heavily damaged by the falling rubble and a couple had fires, but none of them ever fully collapsed and the remains had to be demolished later.

How does a center column literally evaporate into dust? Definitely NOT from fire. I hope everyone clearly sees how the center column turned to dust - that was hardened, class A steel, okay? That is an anomaly that simply cannot be explained by any conventional means, including fire, explosives, etc. It's not mentioned in the 9-11 commission report - for obvious reasons. There are other equally startling anomolies which leave conventional theories incomplete, particularly the "official" theory.

Basic physics and properties of metals would tell us that it would be theoretically impossible for the twin towers to have collapsed. The towers were brought down at nearly free fall speed as you would see in a controlled demolition which implies there was no resistance whatsoever. Never has a steel building collapsed through a fire or plane crash.

Throw in the heat from a serious fire & it collapses. It doesn't take lots of heat to weaken steel. You dont have to melt it to weaken it. It even works diff when you are welding & bending on a hot day vs a cold day. There is nothing at all odd about how the building collapsed. You clearly don't understand steel well.

It's more of a surprise that the structure stayed standing as long as it did (considering that the majority of the steel supports would have been taken out or damaged by the initial impact) especially when you take into consideration the immense weight that was resting on these weakening supports.

Two types of energy came into play, kinetic and potential energy, both of which transferred at impact. I'm not saying that burning jet fuel wouldn't compromise the structural integrity of the steel without melting it, but for both to fall in that fashion? It's really hard to get a tall building to fall straight down. It's too much of a stretch for me to believe we were relatively lucky twice. Similar to Oswald...not physically possible.

This is why I would personally look for some actual evidence. I'm sure if there was a conspiracy involving hundreds if not thousands of people there would be some evidence. It seems impossible if it were true that after ten years there's not evidence at all.

I think what people are saying is that out of the thousands of people that would be involved in a conspiracy history tells us one would have talked by now. This does not disprove a conspiracy but make it less likely.

I would also like to know how far up the wall (or how high up off the ground) the hole was in the pentagon, and i'm talking about the 16ft hole, that was made BEFORE the wall collapsed, because the distance from the bottom of a 757's engines to the tip of the aircraft's nose is about 20ft this means that if the hole was at this height or less, that aircraft would have had to have been flown at full speed with it's engines buried or skimming the ground with a lousy pilot.

Yeah, and the real interesting thing about building 7 is that it was the furthest building away from the WTC towers, yet it completely collapsed in 6.5 seconds whereas WTC 3, 4, 5 and 6 were much closer to the twin towers and was heavily damaged by the falling rubble and a couple had fires, but none of them ever fully collapsed and the remains had to be demolished later.

And one second they say Osama Bin Laden was an unknown before 9/11 then they say the entire world was looking for him. Which is it? And the reported did not find him. Osama sent for the reporter and then arrived by helicopter and met him on a hill side. Osama then declared war on the US so everyone knew he was going to do something.

- there are two sets of planes....the ones with real people on are being hijacked, led out to sea and then destroyed. Next there are remote controlled planes on a computer programmed course to hit their targets in NY. Then there is the guided missiles that do the damage on the Pentagon and fly over Shanksville.
This is why there was so much confusion. The FA saw the planes heading out to sea and were told to withdraw. These targets were then disguised as NORAD manoeuvres
