How come with situations regarding Fleming's left hand rule, the magnetic field lines are always straight instead of curved? The way I see it is; they should be curved. Unless they take the tangent to the curved line as being the direction of the magnetic field. And even if they did this, because a current-carrying conductor may be so long, the direction of the force on the conductor would be different to the direction of the force on the other side of it? This is wrong, what was documented in the discovery of Oersted's experiment follows a left hand rule and that if the current is flowing upwards then the magnetic field follows a clockwise rotation, this video shows the opposite.
