    any idea??

  • @SilverTracK Step 1. Learn English

  • all you people haft to do is put the bak on it that is it

  • PLEASE upload part 4.

  • great, my DS is halfway done and there is no part 4...

  • THANK YOU! I used an old instructable to replace shell on son's ds lite, turned it on, light blinked then shut off. Every troubleshooting thing I could find said it was probably bad screen or messed up wire. Found your videos & watched the whole thing. Turns out the ribbon wasn't in tight enough - was REALLY scared to push it hard (hubby ruined one by tearing it),but watching you, I did what you did & felt it pop in! Son's going to be thrilled, he doesn't know I did this. You are now a FAVORITE!

  • EVERYONE! If you want to know what to do after the video cuts off, copy the link and start from 4:00 !!!

    /watch?v=lir1HCupK9Q

Its made by the same guys! Thumbs up so everyone can see!

  • Please Please Please Please make the last part of this video!!!! This is the best how to on how to change the case of a ndsl, and I don't quite follow the others. Thanks!

  • I have a big problem... When I turn on my DSL, it just flashes with a white screen and doesn't start. The battery was not empty. I don't know what to do... HELP!?

  • @xTigerAkash97x - The most common reason for that is because your flat wire was not connected properly. Re-open your case and check to be sure the flat wire is pushed in far enough. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what to tell you. ):

  • @xTigerAkash97x

He suggested earlier on something about 'if your screen just flashed, you didn't connect the ribbon all the way"

Make sure when you connected your brown ribbon that it was pushed in ALL the way. You'll know it went in if there's no hole by the 'trapezoid' side.

skip into the video at about 3 mins 24 secs.

  • Check out 'How to repair a Nintendo DS Lite NDSL Touch Screen, Part 2 by the same author. This vid will show you how to complete the case replacement.

  • I think your videos are great and everything was going well, but I've hit a road block. The problem is that the top cover to my replacement case doesn't slide up all the way. I'm positive I did it right because I put the old top cover on and it fits perfectly. If anybody can help I would highly appreciate it. If at all possible before Thursday. Thank you.

  • @Georgybutler thanks ill desolder the speakers in tech class today :P and buy a top screen soon Thanks

  • wheres part 4 you fuckin plank

  • The rest is pretty easy to put back together. The hardest part is behind.

  • Okay frustrating as it is to not have part 4 available to make sure we don't screw this up by now we have managed to get everything else in place and tested. I simply watched part 1 again and reversed the order. Too bad when instructions are uploaded that a user isn't finishing what he/she started for those that are mechanically or electronically challenged and actually need instructions from beginning to end. Thanks! The videos that were available were great though!

  • Or watch the video instructions on how to replace NDSL top screen by this same user and it gives you the steps that should be in part 4

  • I was really enjoying tis tutorial and was prepared to start replacing my DS Lite case. BUT WHERE IS PART 4?????????

  • This tutorial works awesomely, just pray you do not have huge fingers like mine! =)

  • The lack of part 4 renders parts 1, 2 and 3 useless! Thanks for wasting my time, moron!

  • Look up this vid titled 'How to repair a Nintendo DS Lite NDSL Hinge 2' (on here)

This your best bet as a substitute pt 4; this is also from him. It's pt 2 of dsl hinge fixing video--w/ this you can at the very least complete the reassembling properly. Hopefully this helps anyone that's stuck.

  • i tried to reassemble the dslite without part 4 but now the touch pad wont work? what should i do?

  • @atakkuuuuu

Did you atached the small ribbon of the touch screen aswel?some people intend to forget about the smal one, and only atach the big one

  • @mikiloly yeah i made sure that i did attach the small ribbon to it's place. i reeeeaaallly hope i didn't damage it in the process. >_>;;

  • @atakkuuuuu

Hmmm when i had that problem. i was lucky enough to lend my friends DS to try it with his screen module, so i knew i had to replace the entire touch screen module. but at this point its hard to tell whats wrong with your DS :( sorry

  • Where is part 4 ???????????????????????

  • I just searched for your web page and..... It's not there!!!! It says the surver can't be found.... Are you gone or is it just my browser?

  • He can't show no. 4 its too fiddly to do... the L +R buttons fall out and if your not careful you snap the power button off when you put the top on... thanks for leaving me on my own with now a completely useless DSL

  • Great tutorial!! thank you very much!

  • can you put part 4 on youtube you videos are the best ever

  • Thanks for this tutorial, but please where is the part 4?

  • great tutorials man, but part 4 is missing, so no sub for you

  • Thanks!!! Awesome, step by step video explaining how to fix my DS. There are tricky steps but with your guidance I did it!!! you are my wife's hero! Despite I couldn't find part 4 (actually you can go without it) 5 stars forthis one!

  • Thanks man I got a silver housing on my ds lite now :D

  • The hardest part is getting the damn black wire back through. And there is no way you will ever get it as straight as he does in the video.

  • @manicania Amen to that dood.

  • hi awesome tutorial, but after i finished my top screen only lite up with a black screen, the touch screen works fine, anyone know whats up with my top screen?

  • This tutorial is the best!

  • i have a problem, my right button doesnt work but i put a screw in it but the screw got loose like my screwdriver doesnt work on it anymore... plz help!!

  • part 4 pleasee?

  • Thank you so much. Your videos are video easy to follow and you explain everything in such a simple way. I was able to fix and mod my ds lite because of you. Thank you so much. ^^

  • hey, my top screen lites up, but does not show anything, does anyone know why o_o

  • @StephenAndLeo I have the same problem... could you fix it?

  • where is part 4???

  • i broke mine but i learned from my mistakes

  • i finished all steps and my touch screen doesnt work what should i do?

  • i know. the same thing happened to me :S

  • ask a professional to do it.

  • U don't need a part 4, remember what you did in the start?

Just thread the black wire underneath the slot 1 slot and clip it down, clip down the white wire, then put your NEW bottom onto the back. Note that you also need your your L and r buttons in case you forgot.

Then put the screws back in place, replace the rubber feet, put the battery cover back in, presto your done!!!

    PS. i accidentally bricked my motherboard while I was doing this ;.;

  • @Hydraxon493 You don't brick a motherboard, you fry it, you probably didn't ground yourself.

  • @BobelVago

    Really?

Would you consider breaking the tiny little clip for the tiny little cable for the bottom screen not bricking it?

Believe me, you put it together, it has a fuzzy top screen and an incapacitated touch screen. Touch does not work.

  • Where's part 4?? Man, what a tease.

  • Which one should i look at if I want to know how to put the volume and poewr button in

  • Thanks for the tutorial. Did I miss the part where the metal screw block for the battery case needs to be removed and replaced?

I got everything together and tried to screw the battery cover back on when I noticed it wouldn't screw down and close. I needed to open it up again to put it in.

  • Its the best tutorial that i ever seen, but, could you upload the part 4 pleeeeeease????? =(

  • A FUCKING GENIUS!!!

  • I wish there was a part 4. I was doing this while watching the videos and after part 3 ended I tried to finish off my job BUT I managed to snap the tiny bit of plastic off my power switch. Arrrrrrrr!

  • can u plz upload part 4!!! YOUR TUTORIALS ARE THE BEST EVER!!!

    5 OUT OF 5 STARS

  • @yiyobancho

You can watch the second half of his "How to repair a DS Lite NDSL Hinge 2" video. Just start from around 4:02 in the Hinge video. (Also a note, he uses a black DS in the other video, but it's works the same way.) Hope this helps.

  • @manicania

Absolutely right. If it wasn't for the black case and the different t-shirt it'd be flawless ;o)

  • wheres part 4?

  • Do you have any suggestions. I am talking about the screw in the start of this video. I can't screw the screws in all the way. I have no problem screwing in the old part but the new one will not go all the way in.

  • Very nice, do you have one for the original DS?

  • Thanks SMC for posting such a helpful tutorial. Actually its proly one of the best. I was able to finish the job in about 1 1/2 hour. Although the 4th part is lacking but you can work your way around it , its just mounting back the screws.

  • There doesn't need to be a 4, watch his other videos. The rest you need to know is included in them :)

  • great tutorial but where is PART4. Please upload this soon.

    thanks

  • best tutorial on youtube dude. im wating the part 4. i want to change the case and the bottom screen of my dslite. thanks for your tutorials
