Cutbacks at the federal level saw the federal labor force drop to 2.7 million by 1998, but employment by state and local governments more than offset that decline, reaching almost 16 million in 1998
Misery...oops I mean "Missouri" is a pretty sucktacular place.
I went to Ft Leonard-Wood for training. It's bad enuf that there wasn't much to do in the surrounding towns(St. Roberts/Waynesville) outside of the Fort, but adding insult to injury, Missouri passed a state law that prevents women in strip joints from revealing their breasts & privates.
So now even the local strip-club dives(Big Louie's) suck even MORESO than they already did before. Conservatives suck... Bunch of prudes...
@willia3r Thats what is great about States Rights. If you dont like it in Missouri, you can move to Nevada. That way, prudes can stay together, and if you want legal whorehouses, you can have that too. Here in Calif, when alcohol is served, you can see boobs, but not privates. Privates are seen only when the place serves no alcohol. Personally, I think the girls look better when I`m drunk, so I opt for panties. I am far more generous too when I`m buzzed, so it works out for everyone.
the teaparty want to KILL millions of americans.. they r terrorists. they want to cut min wage letting comps pay 3$ an hour, then when they can no longer afford to live, they want to kill soc. security, medicaid/care, food stamps, gvot housing and child care.. so 60+million americans will be screwed.. burglary, assaults, robberys will explode.. death in the streets.. children, old, sick.. and a civil war.. meanwhile the rich will reap.. only making jobs when they can pay us 3$ a wee.. terrorists
@raztis1 ... private prisons is a pilot program to create cheap labour in the manufacturing industry with hundreds of thousands of inmates earning 25c an hour making household appliances. It's successful, now the GOP/Big Corp will create & profit from millions of underclass workers earning $3 an hour to compete with China and India. If you don't like it then you go to jail do the same job for 25c, that's the freedom of choice you will have. There will be no unions because they will be outlawed.
@dcanmore The vast majority of Americans earn far more than the minimum, and their is no law to give it to them. Why then ARE they earning more? I hired people for 29 yrs in Calif, and even illegal alien men will NOT work for the minimum wage. They easily earn more than that.
@raztis1 Most of those Govt programs you mentioned were not in existence until the 1960`s. We got along just fine without them. We had a better economy, and led the worlds economies by, far, with a far higher living standard. As for the Social Security program, it came in the 1930`s, and the children took care of their own parents, 3 generations living in a home. Grandparents, their kids, and the children of their kids. Nobody needed fucking childcare you asshole.
@luvcheney1 we DID get along.. BUT, a 6th grade dropout could get a job making 5k a yr.. when a nice new car was 1k, a new house was 7k.. so it means to do the same these companies would need to pay, oh, 100-200k a yr per job to BASE employees. more for educated. now they want to cut pay even more so companies will come back.. u CANT live off 16k a yr, so the govt gives money so they can live. nobody needs childcare? u obviously dont know reality do you. if yer a single parent, and work, u do.
@raztis1 Wages have NOTHING to do, NO RELATION at all to "cost of living". They are the balance between supply of workers and the need for them ONLY. US Corps today have dividend return of profit near normal long term avgs, below all time highs. We have a world economy, and US corps must have profit equal to foreign corps, OR they go out of business. That is why they leave the US. Policies that enable higher profits for US Corps are necessary, to bring and keep them here.
@luvcheney1 your insane. wages MUST equal at LEAST the cost of living, or people cant survive without govt assistance.. u cannot take govt assistance away when it costs 35k to pay bills but min wage pays 16k or ppl will die, not just the poor, because most of the poor will decide " instead of dying, il kill that rich person and take their food" the US will become middle africa. we can oh say, make outsourced products pay a 100% value tariff cost to sell here, AND take away patents ..cont..
@luvcheney1 cont from bottom.. when a company outsources. they dont want to play the game, fine PUNISH THEM.. if a business owner get a liscence and patent here, sells their product, then outsources, they lose their patent and are charged the value of the product in tariffs. meaning another (US based) company can make the same product here, and sell it cheaper. BAM.. economy fixed.. u cant pay americans 3$ an hour, no retirement, AND have no welfare.. it WILL mean civil war. period.
@raztis1 If a corp stays here, earning less than Corps OUT of the US, one of 2 things, or a blend of the 2, will occur. 1) The corp earns less profit than competition, capital flows to corps with better profit. Corps with low profit have less capital to modernize, do research and development. Eventually, it lags in product development. OR, 2) The corp raises prices to keep profit equal to foreign Corps, consumers turn away from higher priced product, to the lower. Either way, the Corp dies.
@luvcheney1 this is true NOW, which is why we pass laws to change this. like 100% value tariffs. if a pencil costs .75 to make here, but .15 to make in china, a company goes to china and sells in here for 1$. with VTs, it would cost that company 1.15$ just to break even.. meanwhile the american based company is still manf. it for .75 and selling for 1$. and if they want to leave because of it.. cool, they lose their patents. and american company takes over. whats worse? a few.. cont..
@raztis1 Lets assume we can buy a pencil from China, at 15 cents, or a pencil from the US at 75 cents. I can have a pencil, with another 60 cents left over, with which I can buy other things too, and enjoy a higher living standard. Or, I can just have the one pencil. Pencil factories do not have the power to print money, so whatever wage made by US pencil makers, is far offset by the decline of the rest of us as we pay more, and lost jobs as I cant spend the other 60 cents, employing others.
@luvcheney1 but that doesnt matter when, because of that .15 pencil.. half the pop. make half the cost to pay their bills, no pencil, no .60, no food. when rent is 600$ and a min wage job pays 800 a month, IT DOESNT WORK. i would rather pay .75 for a pencil and make 1800 a month so i can actually live. and the more .75 pencils we buy, the more US jobs r created, meaning more pencils created, lower costs, and higher wages. instead "greed" tells u 2 buy the .15 one and say screw evr1 else
@raztis1 Labor costs vary by industry, but are just a fraction of total costs. Lets assume 25%. So if I buy the 75 cent pencil, I am poorer by 60 cents, so someone else can make 18.75 cents? GEE! Thats GREAT! A real path to wealth!
@luvcheney1 its not about wealth, its about sustainability. the whole problem is this "push for wealth" idea ppl have. its fine to want to do well. but "well" is 100-200k a year.. not 25 million. u keep thinking that ppl will keep letting this happen. if something isnt done to drastically change the income per cost of living discrepancy in this country we WILL have war. keep taking from the poor and giving to the rich and the poor will "takeyoshit" as a friend says.what part of this dont u get?
@raztis1 Govt taxes production, both on the Corporate and individual levels. It pays failure. This is a perverse incentive system. Govt pushes interest rates low. This discourages savings, and encourages debt. That makes people poor. Govt taxes us to fund our old age, but the money is spent as it comes in, not saved into capital. That makes us poor. You get a tax deduction for mortgage debt, encouraging it, and get taxed on your savings? Govt rewards what makes you poor, punishes the good.
@luvcheney1 i agree we need to create a system to stop abuse, absolutely. but we cant stop paying for the poor until we can get the poor to middle class. and that takes living wage jobs (i.e 35k+per yr WITHOUT degrees) by the millions, roughly 30 million.. how do we do that? we start punishing corps that outsource jobs. triffs, loss of patents, higher tax rates, etc. we freeze inflation for at least 10yrs. we need a reset. cause punishing the poor gets nothing but a war started
@raztis1 I like your comment even though I disagree with every word of it. Why? You actually said something, wirhout just Lib talking points. However, you raise many points at once, without discussion. You ask, "how do we do that? we start punishing corps that outsource". Can we agree that corps outsource, and move out to make MORE $, not Less? Since that is true, punishing them will make moving out more profitable than it is now. Explain the advantage in this.
@luvcheney1 agree that corps move to make more. and some will. but america is the biggest consumer in the world. dont punish all companies, BUT if a corp starts up here, grows big here, then tries to outs, we should make it too costly. charge them tariffs so high it would b cheaper to manf here, and take away patent rights, so a different company can make the same product here if they leave. let them manf here, for here, and in china for others. freeze inflation so they cant just jump the cost.
@raztis1 Freeze inflation? Thats impossible. It has been tried many times throughout history. Google "Edict on Prices", during time of Emperor Diocletian of Rome. Price controls broke the nation, production ceased. We had price controls under Nixon, and I remember all the meat cases in our supermarkets being EMPTY. It was stopped, but left on oil, and you surely must have heard of the long lines?? Raising costs with tariffs MUST get paid by YOU, or business ceases.
@luvcheney1 because we didnt structure it correctly. when a 200 person admin of a corp is making 20 billion in profits, we could move 12billion of that into US manufacturing and pay workers liveable wages, and the 200ppl will STILL be making 8 billion in profits. as i said, as part of the inflation freeze you cap wages. meaning the corp will HAVE to just pay less to its admins, they cant leave, they cant inflate prices, force them to take pay cuts to fund american workers. we CAN do it.
@raztis1 When profits are very, very high, more capital comes in, from greedy investors wanting the kill too. But the added supply pushes prices down to where they get normal. When prices are low, the capital flows to something better, so some of the businesses slow down, or close. You "feel" you can cut "normal" profits from 20 to 8 ( because it feels too high), but the CAPITAL invested in that business will flee. OUT of the State that is fucking them, or out of the country.
@luvcheney1 im fine with that. because there are other investors that will invest. and again, if they flee, punish them even more. dont even let them sell in america. and if they say they wont, they lose their patent rights, and someone who WANTS to sell here can sell the same product. your right, im just saying we need to change the whole system. because its this "let me fuck u or il flee" attitude thats the major problem with our economy, end it, and everything else gets better.
@raztis1 Other investors will not. In fact, the Federal Reserve estimates that 40% of all stocks purchased inside the US are of foreign corps. These "other" investors will see the fact you want the US to be less attractive a place to invest. You see the fact capital flows to where it will earn more as evil. It isnt evil, it is normal. Patent rights allow a corp a monopoly for a period of time, to make higher profits, encouraging development. Your idea will reduce development, progress.
@luvcheney1 You'd make a piss poor chairman of any board. Your the Edward Lampert of Youtube. The ship is sinking cause' you can't get your head out of your a**! What you fail to realize is with any buisness.....IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CUSTOMER STUPID AND NOT MILKING THE TIT TIL IT'S EMPTY!
@luvcheney1 besides, its not working anymore, if you keep buying the .15 chinese pencil, low income ppl r just gonna start robbing and killing u and taking your pencil. and that higher living standard will turn into not living. i hear it all day. i work with a lot of low income ppl, and prolly 6 out of 10 say, if the republicans take minimum wage, im gonna start robbing ppl, im gonna burn this place to the ground, because if they cant survive, then their enemy becomes corps.
@raztis1 Corps MUST stay competitive, or they go away permanently. In the end, you will have Chinese pencils anyway. There ARE paths to increase living standards. 1) Fed Reserve policy lowers interest rates, to promote growth. This promotes debt, its easier to pay. It discourages saving, there is little incentive at low rates. 2) Tax investment income discourages investing. Tax deductions for mortgage debt, encourage debt. These are just 2 Fed policies that encourage stupidity.
@luvcheney1" $162.5 million in punitive damages in a lawsuit that accused them of negligently distributing large vials of an anesthetic to Las Vegas clinics at the center of a 2008 hepatitis C outbreak"--AP How competitive is that? WHAT A LET DOWN FOR THE SHAREHOLDERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC!
@Athruebelief Go manage any business, with a few employees, and see if everything will be perfect. You cant have perfection. Its not possible. It cant be legislated either. Thats why "punitive damages" means a remedy in court, a civil action. THAT is what motivates, not some idiot Govt flunky.
@luvcheney1 cont from bottom... whats worse... a few companies quit selling in america, a few go out of business. or the fall of america, when labor becomes so poor that we all say fuck it and go burn new york to the ground? and any company that doesnt pay a living wage.. we burn to the ground.. millions die from starvation, and millions more are robbed, shot, and murdered for their food.. because that is where were headed by cont. to give corps everything.. its alr started w/ the protests
@luvcheney1 cont from bottom.. if you make 20k a yr, and have three kids.. either the govt pays the 3-6$ an hour for childcare, or u dont work and they pay for everything.. we had a higher living standard BECAUSE we didnt have "credit ratings", every job requiring a degree, and company owners made about 5-10 times what they paid to their employees, not 100-1000 times. u cant have both, either the companies pay a liveable wage, or the govt taxes them and pays for social programs.
And the list goes on .....How two people like this could come to so much power ?
They are hard core republicans puring millions into the tea party ,putting money into school segregation and already getting a new candidate for president in 2016 !!!! Secret meetings with millioners (the last one in Vail ,CO ) I think we should be affraid ,very affraid !!!!!!
@jawsfan24 how about this fact, repubs claim to be job creators.a entry level job at Wal mart pays so little that the worker can qualify for food stamps [don't repubs hate welfare?],not only that but they don't make enough to pay any tax either,so this repub created job [?] call for you & i to foot the bill for their food stamps, and make up for the taxes they don't pay.this grows the economy how? gotta love repubs, jobs that create a welfare state...LOL

@Danniel1397 1) Cenk Said it best in another video. Scientist did an experiment in the 60s were they shocked a dog at regular intervals. It lost its effect on the dog because he knew when to expect it. He braced himself for it and was able to cope with no problem after a while. He fought and stayed strong. Then they shocked him at irregular intervals. He couldn't braise himself to overcome it. Eventually the dog just laid down and accepted it. He gave up.
@Danniel1397 2) That's what has happened to the American people at this point. They trust the Reps, they get fucked. They trust the Dems, they get fucked. They trust the independents, the reps highjack the tea-party and they get fucked. It's not that we don't care. We are just broken. We have literally been fucked from every orifice to the point were we almost expect it. That's how it doesn't enrage them. Their hearts are broken.
@Danniel1397 Because they're too busy playing Angry Birds on their iphones. Geez, get with the times man, we don't want to hear about any of that boring politics stuff....

@Danniel1397 It's about information control. I watch a lot of T.V. and read a lot of news, and I don't hear a lot of stuff they're discussing at TYT. How do you think Silvio Berlusconi remained in power in Italy?
somebody on another site pointed out that it was seniors who are the strongest supporters of the tea baggers. they think government and they see black on welfare, but the old dummies never figure they might be affected.
S**t, I have been b**ching so much about the federal gov they almost got one by me. I live in missouri and want to put a stop to this. where do I start and what is the name of this legislation?

If the rich can contribute to campaigns in order to geet people in office who will give them tax cuts why shouldn't they do it? It is a good investment.
That is what separates us humans from animals: We are actually capable to think in bigger contexts than just our own little private world. The Republican Party, and through their lack of balls Obamas Democrats as well, have steered America towards the edge of disaster. The middle class is dying. Pitiful are those Americans, who in such a situation can´t think of anything else but adding a few hundred more millions to their ALREADY disgusting wealth!
@taxiuniversum Wealth really isnt very disgusting. Poverty is disgusting, and America is the best place to not be poor. After all, the poor here drive 1987 Buicks, have a couple of color TVs, 100 channels,, indoor plumbing, and can get free, or cheap rubbers from planned parenthood. Plus, reefer for sale at the corner.
If you find poverty so "disgusting", then change it! You think the poor people in America are so well-off? Maybe then dare to leave your gated community one day! I have seen many places in the U.S. that definitely remind more of the Third World than of a developed country. All children when they get born are curious and active. But then, in so many places in the U.S., all they ever find is a crappy education, a gross lack of jobs and in general, grim perspectives for their future!
@taxiuniversum Actually, I live in a normal community, where the kids in the schools are at least 90% brown Mexicans, and many illegal. Your claim of no jobs is very funny, because all over Calif, illegals are working, driving SUV`s, living in big homes over 2400 sq ft, and BBQ`ing carne asada and drinking Bud. Of course, Americans cant find a job, being able to speak, read, and write English. They are told by the media there are no jobs, and they are stupid enough to believe it.
What nonsense! I just saw a documentary on Detroit. Of course the poor people are obese there. But that does not mean they are "doing fine". Actually, they are fucked, because they will die too early for only eating fast food. Then the next problem: Even if they want to live HEALTHY, they can´t buy any fresh fruits or vegetables, as ALL of the supermarkets in their poor quarters have shut down. Does it make you feel good to repress any awareness of the problems the U.S. is in?
@taxiuniversum Supermarkets will not locate in inner city areas because they cant make any money. Black people steal like mad. I ran restaurants for 30 yrs, and when blacks were 90% of the customers, we would have $300 of "dine and dash" in 3 hrs, when "normal" losses of that kind (walk- outs) would be $70 for an entire 168 hour week! They get what they deserve. NOTHING.
Umm TYT you are failing to mention that this whole elimination of the Tax Credit in Missouri is supported by the Democrat Governor of the state Jay Nixon. I know it's fun to rant and rave about how every problem in America is the Republicans fault, but before you get all fired up about it, you need to do your research.
The formerly "Grand" Old Party is getting more shameless by the day. Why do they do it? Because they know they can pull it off - and get away with it.
I still have not given up on America´s wealthy. I hope for more of the well-off and educated Americans to come together, and fight for America´s future! Warren Buffett has sent a very strong first signal. Now MORE rich Americans who HAVE a sense of responsibility ought to fight back the greed-driven psychos that have highjacked conservativism in America.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
@ffairlane57 All my jobs were always for working for somebody who had money. They made it possible for me to live. After all, those of us who work for a living, getting a W-2, are lucky to have the chance.
I know it's considered trendy to hate guns because it fits the meme of "god & guns" conservatism. Just remember that there's literally zero chance you would be alive today if the gun was never invented. Butterfly effect - get over yourselves.
@DavidThePatriot Just remember, you wouldn't be a live today if your ancestors didn't bitch about being controlled then go to MY ancestor's home (America) and kill my ancestors' families for the land they lived off of with your "guns"
Studies show, the harder it is to kill someone, the less likely it'll happen, guns make it easy for murders to happen, but they aren't the only weapons that kill. Use your gun to hunt fine, but you don't need an M16 to do it.

I love the Young Turks, I make sure I watch regularly, I don't always agree with them but I certainly mostly agree with them on their opinion of big business and corporations. I love their videos when they are critical of people selling out in the name of business but it has always rubbed me the wrong way how an entire video can be dedicated to criticizing business and the video starts and ends with a sponsorship by a business
Every goddamn time i turn around the GOP is trying to rob the people who have no money to give it to those who have too fucking much. This is feudalism...tax to the peasants to pay for the war. Tax the peasants to pay for debts. Tax the peasants to line the noble's pockets. We need to shut these idiots down in 2012.
Let's face it the only way the get away with this is that people still vote for them. There are people out there that only vote for their party. Fail!
Cenk, Ana, Jayar, I have a request to make on the behalf of your fans, please stop being so heavily biased to the left and against the right. This country needs unity, and ignoring
ron
paul while propping up a joke like Jon huntsman is absolutely unacceptable
I really believe every American should listen to or watch the video on utube American's was Tommy Douglas talking to you too! he made this speach in 1960 warning canadians of plutonomies, if we had listen to him then the world would be a much different place, even back then the cia followed him everywhere and try unsucessfully to distroy him, he ran 18 consecutive surpluses in his government! so much for socialist not know how to balance a budget! it always been about priorities!
@cristoballs yea the very eugenics you speak off are being carried out today by our multinationals all over the globe so whats the difference, and yes with all things no one person is totally right on every given issue and i disagree with him on that as his doctor trained bigotry from that era was prevelent at that time but over time and the trends of modern society we can see where this is all headed and i for one am hopeful that i won't be around to see it, but unfortunately my son will be!
@cristoballs it used to be said that the ussr controled thier people by wiretaping thier phones, following them, interviewing there co-workers,opening thier mail, arresting them without warrant, hold them for indefinate periods of time, no trial before peers,no speedy trial, torture and other methods for false confessions, yea those fucking communist sure had a closed society sounds a lot like the us of today! keep worshiping greed and see where that takes the world, the blood bath will be huge!
@DillonDee1 Funny thing is that a lot of people don't even know who the koch brothers are and how badly they are affecting our lives .They have their hand in everything ! Browns paper towels, "Angel Soft" toilet paper, "Mardi Gras" napkins and towels, "Quilted Northern" toilet paper and paper towels, "Dixie" paper plates, bowls, napkins and cups, "Sparkle" paper towels, and "Vanity Fair" paper napkins, bowls, plates and tablecloths. The Atlanta-based company has operations in 27 states.
@jawsfan24 sup. you wouldn't be able to direct me to some sort of list of koch inc. products, would you? i'd hate to give them any money when there are alternatives.
@jawsfan24 OMG! Horrors! I hate toilet paper! Better to use you fingers, or as my Daddy told me they did in the Great Depression, rip pages out of the yellow pages! Napkins! Just let the dog lick your face clean! Table cloths? Hell no! Just hose it off! Thats what we do!
@luvcheney1 they own the paper too ,so you will be better of to wipe your ass with your finger and lick it ! Don't you know that there are another companies making all this stuff ,smaller companies without the power of advertising that give jobs to Americans not chinese ??? How about killing their power little bit ,so they will think twice before they kill us ???? But no , ass republican like yourself has to stand up for this mf...
@jawsfan24 Economies of scale enable bigger companies to be more efficient, and in most cases they are able to out-compete, and sell cheaper. Consumers actually like paying less, because that enables them to have more cash left over, raising their living standards. I have no problem with you choosing to pay more if you think that best, but all the business WalMart does shows a lot of people actually enjoy paying less. Helping people live better, through greed. You like altruistic poverty?
@luvcheney1 consumers don't like thier choices being limited to the cheap crap that these mega corps keep monopolizing the markets with due to the supply side bs economic of the republicans nor do they like having to call India for customer service for the junk they sell. They would much prefer good prices on quality products with decent service but these mega's come in and at firts offer some decent products for good prices until they run the compeition out of biz then it is cheap crap
@luvcheney1 Walmart parking lot is not empty because they pushed out competition lol so now there is not much options left , either buy for them or drive miles.
@barsense Of course! The stores that charge more go out of business. Who cares? Certainly not customers. because If they did, customers would be buying at the competition. You see, folks like you do not LIKE the results of Liberty. Customers CHOOSE which businesses survive, by buying there. Just like the people wanted GM and Chrysler dead.
@barsense Part 2, you say also, "Still grabbing bs numbers out of thin air I see. LOL". Note you will not even state WHICH figures you think are wrong, much less counter with your opinion of the correct numbers. You are reduced to a simple insult. You have NO desire for defending the indefensible.
@jawsfan24 We the real people have had enough, there is a major protest that has been going on in New York since Sept. 17th. thousands on the streets in a peaceful protest over the greed of wallstreet. and the gop controlled mainstream media has a complete blackout instead of reporting on it so it is only on you tube but it is still growing despite their blackout. BTW, you are right and luvchenney economics has never worked anywhere yet repubs keep pushing it,

@MissNophi2U Start your own business and run what? Without gov't forcing franchise monopolies, businesses cannot control your life. Competition for your individual vote in form of money is a wonderful thing, you should try it again, it worked wonders before gov't screwed it up.
@MissNophi2U As to corporations running your lives - oh, they are running your lives alright. They are running your lives completely as they are part of government structure.
Have gov't attempt to control businesses, and some businesses will become part of government and really control you.
1. Federal level military for border protection is authorized under US Constitution, but not militarism and undeclared wars and building Empires and entangling alliances.
2. Gov't destroyed private infrastructure that was much more efficient - rail roads, to build the auto-subsidy that the current highway system is and it taxed air travel industry to do it and it gained huge control over people's lives with the highway racket.
Essentially speaking, that "Roman" weirdo wants to live in Somalia. The question is, why the heck won't he & others like him/her/whoever go live there?
I guess these so-called Anarcho-Capitalist types talk a good game, but when the rubber meets the road, they prefer regulation & socialized government goodies like anyone else. They just don't want "those people" to have them, and that's all this whole situation really is.
in stead of whingeing on about tax breaks and how that will make your country great again, whether it's tax breaks to the poor or to the rich, how about you stop that, don't cut any taxes and in stead use that tax money to take care of your people in need?
@dcanmore what most far righties can't get thru there heads if jesus was concerned with governments he would be a communist!! remember its easier for a camel to jump thru an eye of a needle than a rich man to obtain the kingdom of heaven! he did make GREED! a deadly sin and america makes it a virtue!LOL!!
@calimar28 most of the charity that the us government gives is tied to the IMF and WTO with side agreements with corporations for every dollar the us gives in aid the multinationals take seven, this is why you are dispised around the world you are already trying to sure up the water rights of the world next will be the air, my only wonder is that with the multinationals causeing death and distruction around the world, is that there arn't daily mushroom clouds seen over the states daily!
@calimar28 absoulty they have caused more distruction in the world than any organization i can think of they have always been used as a tool for the ultra rich industrialist to put countries under there control! and be dammed for the lives they distroy, the only problem is that overseas our multinationals are our ambassitors and every time they take water land or lives it the west seen as evil as most believe they represent us!
@syzygy502 The thing is you won't give up your money, because you want people to suffer. You like seeing pain and it takes taxes to help the people and the government.
@syzygy502 No, I wont. The teaparty will be taking over now. Nothing you can do. You can cry I guess, but that wont stop the teaparty controlling everything. The teaparty hates the UN, the IMF, and the rest. They will stop this crap.
@calimar28 Well, we'll see in 2012. I predict right now that the Democrats will again have the 2 houses of Congress and Obama as president as well as regaining some seats in Governorship. If I am wrong, get back to me with that.
@syzygy502 How can you honestly say that, when not only did the teaparty scortch your party in 2010, but last night they won in Nevada, and the GOP won a house seat in (hold on) BROOKLYN NY of all places! (Wieners old seat). I MEAN COME ON! BROOKLYN! :-o
Obamas approval dropping like a paperweight...the economy is sinking him. And it wont get better. And your seriously thinking the dems will win back the house, senate and keep the presidency?
@syzygy502 You really believe that the dems will win in 2012, after losing a seat in BROOKLYN NY last night????
The economy is sinking Obama. And it wont get any better. Ironically it is Obama's own policies making it worse! He wont deport illegals anymore, which would free up about 6 million jobs to Americans, and right now! He wont dump the corporate t

Bunch of prudes...
willia3r 5 months ago
@willia3r Thats what is great about States Rights. If you dont like it in Missouri, you can move to Nevada. That way, prudes can stay together, and if you want legal whorehouses, you can have that too. Here in Calif, when alcohol is served, you can see boobs, but not privates. Privates are seen only when the place serves no alcohol. Personally, I think the girls look better when I`m drunk, so I opt for panties. I am far more generous too when I`m buzzed, so it works out for everyone.

There will be no unions because they will be outlawed.
dcanmore 5 months ago 2
@dcanmore The vast majority of Americans earn far more than the minimum, and their is no law to give it to them. Why then ARE they earning more? I hired people for 29 yrs in Calif, and even illegal alien men will NOT work for the minimum wage. They easily earn more than that.
luvcheney1 5 months ago
@raztis1 Most of those Govt programs you mentioned were not in existence until the 1960`s. We got along just fine without them. We had a better economy, and led the worlds economies by, far, with a far higher living standard. As for the Social Security program, it came in the 1930`s, and the children took care of their own parents, 3 generations living in a home. Grandparents, their kids, and the children of their kids. Nobody needed fucking childcare you asshole.
luvcheney1 5 months ago
@luvcheney1 we DID get along.. BUT, a 6th grade dropout could get a job making 5k a yr.. when a nice new car was 1k, a new house was 7k.. so it means to do the same these companies would need to pay, oh, 100-200k a yr per job to BASE employees. more for educated. now they want to cut pay even more so companies will come back.. u CANT live off 16k a yr, so the govt gives money so they can live. nobody needs childcare? u obviously dont know reality do you. if yer a single parent, and work, u do.
raztis1 5 months ago
@raztis1 Wages have NOTHING to do, NO RELATION at all to "cost of living". They are the balance between supply of workers and the need for them ONLY. US Corps today have dividend return of profit near normal long term avgs, below all time highs. We have a world economy, and US corps must have profit equal to foreign corps, OR they go out of business. That is why they leave the US. Policies that enable higher profits for US Corps are necessary, to bring and keep them here.
luvcheney1 5 months ago
@luvcheney1 your insane. wages MUST equal at LEAST the cost of living, or people cant survive without govt assistance.. u cannot take govt assistance away when it costs 35k to pay bills but min wage pays 16k or ppl will die, not just the poor, because most of the poor will decide " instead of dying, il kill that rich person and take their food" the US will become middle africa. we can oh say, make outsourced products pay a 100% value tariff cost to sell here, AND take away patents ..cont..
raztis1 5 months ago
@luvcheney1 cont from bottom.. when a company outsources. they dont want to play the game, fine PUNISH THEM.. if a business owner get a liscence and patent here, sells their product, then outsources, they lose their patent and are charged the value of the product in tariffs. meaning another (US based) company can make the same product here, and sell it cheaper. BAM.. economy fixed.. u cant pay americans 3$ an hour, no retirement, AND have no welfare.. it WILL mean civil war. period.
raztis1 5 months ago
@raztis1 If a corp stays here, earning less than Corps OUT of the US, one of 2 things, or a blend of the 2, will occur. 1) The corp earns less profit than competition, capital flows to corps with better profit. Corps with low profit have less capital to modernize, do research and development. Eventually, it lags in product development. OR, 2) The corp raises prices to keep profit equal to foreign Corps, consumers turn away from higher priced product, to the lower. Either way, the Corp dies.
luvcheney1 5 months ago
@luvcheney1 this is true NOW, which is why we pass laws to change this. like 100% value tariffs. if a pencil costs .75 to make here, but .15 to make in china, a company goes to china and sells in here for 1$. with VTs, it would cost that company 1.15$ just to break even.. meanwhile the american based company is still manf. it for .75 and selling for 1$. and if they want to leave because of it.. cool, they lose their patents. and american company takes over. whats worse? a few.. cont..
raztis1 5 months ago
@raztis1 Lets assume we can buy a pencil from China, at 15 cents, or a pencil from the US at 75 cents. I can have a pencil, with another 60 cents left over, with which I can buy other things too, and enjoy a higher living standard. Or, I can just have the one pencil. Pencil factories do not have the power to print money, so whatever wage made by US pencil makers, is far offset by the decline of the rest of us as we pay more, and lost jobs as I cant spend the other 60 cents, employing others.
luvcheney1 5 months ago
@luvcheney1 but that doesnt matter when, because of that .15 pencil.. half the pop. make half the cost to pay their bills, no pencil, no .60, no food. when rent is 600$ and a min wage job pays 800 a month, IT DOESNT WORK. i would rather pay .75 for a pencil and make 1800 a month so i can actually live. and the more .75 pencils we buy, the more US jobs r created, meaning more pencils created, lower costs, and higher wages. instead "greed" tells u 2 buy the .15 one and say screw evr1 else
raztis1 5 months ago
@raztis1 Labor costs vary by industry, but are just a fraction of total costs. Lets assume 25%. So if I buy the 75 cent pencil, I am poorer by 60 cents, so someone else can make 18.75 cents? GEE! Thats GREAT! A real path to wealth!
luvcheney1 5 months ago
@luvcheney1 its not about wealth, its about sustainability. the whole problem is this "push for wealth" idea ppl have. its fine to want to do well. but "well" is 100-200k a year.. not 25 million. u keep thinking that ppl will keep letting this happen. if something isnt done to drastically change the income per cost of living discrepancy in this country we WILL have war. keep taking from the poor and giving to the rich and the poor will "takeyoshit" as a friend says.what part of this dont u get?
raztis1 5 months ago
@raztis1 Govt taxes production, both on the Corporate and individual levels. It pays failure. This is a perverse incentive system. Govt pushes interest rates low. This discourages savings, and encourages debt. That makes people poor. Govt taxes us to fund our old age, but the money is spent as it comes in, not saved into capital. That makes us poor. You get a tax deduction for mortgage debt, encouraging it, and get taxed on your savings? Govt rewards what makes you poor, punishes the good.
luvcheney1 4 months ago
@luvcheney1 i agree we need to create a system to stop abuse, absolutely. but we cant stop paying for the poor until we can get the poor to middle class. and that takes living wage jobs (i.e 35k+per yr WITHOUT degrees) by the millions, roughly 30 million.. how do we do that? we start punishing corps that outsource jobs. triffs, loss of patents, higher tax rates, etc. we freeze inflation for at least 10yrs. we need a reset. cause punishing the poor gets nothing but a war started
raztis1 4 months ago
@raztis1 I like your comment even though I disagree with every word of it. Why? You actually said something, wirhout just Lib talking points. However, you raise many points at once, without discussion. You ask, "how do we do that? we start punishing corps that outsource". Can we agree that corps outsource, and move out to make MORE $, not Less? Since that is true, punishing them will make moving out more profitable than it is now. Explain the advantage in this.
luvcheney1 4 months ago
@luvcheney1 agree that corps move to make more. and some will. but america is the biggest consumer in the world. dont punish all companies, BUT if a corp starts up here, grows big here, then tries to outs, we should make it too costly. charge them tariffs so high it would b cheaper to manf here, and take away patent rights, so a different company can make the same product here if they leave. let them manf here, for here, and in china for others. freeze inflation so they cant just jump the cost.
raztis1 4 months ago
@raztis1 Freeze inflation? Thats impossible. It has been tried many times throughout history. Google "Edict on Prices", during time of Emperor Diocletian of Rome. Price controls broke the nation, production ceased. We had price controls under Nixon, and I remember all the meat cases in our supermarkets being EMPTY. It was stopped, but left on oil, and you surely must have heard of the long lines?? Raising costs with tariffs MUST get paid by YOU, or business ceases.
luvcheney1 4 months ago
@luvcheney1 because we didnt structure it correctly. when a 200 person admin of a corp is making 20 billion in profits, we could move 12billion of that into US manufacturing and pay workers liveable wages, and the 200ppl will STILL be making 8 billion in profits. as i said, as part of the inflation freeze you cap wages. meaning the corp will HAVE to just pay less to its admins, they cant leave, they cant inflate prices, force them to take pay cuts to fund american workers. we CAN do it.
raztis1 4 months ago
@raztis1 When profits are very, very high, more capital comes in, from greedy investors wanting the kill too. But the added supply pushes prices down to where they get normal. When prices are low, the capital flows to something better, so some of the businesses slow down, or close. You "feel" you can cut "normal" profits from 20 to 8 ( because it feels too high), but the CAPITAL invested in that business will flee. OUT of the State that is fucking them, or out of the country.
luvcheney1 4 months ago
@luvcheney1 im fine with that. because there are other investors that will invest. and again, if they flee, punish them even more. dont even let them sell in america. and if they say they wont, they lose their patent rights, and someone who WANTS to sell here can sell the same product. your right, im just saying we need to change the whole system. because its this "let me fuck u or il flee" attitude thats the major problem with our economy, end it, and everything else gets better.
raztis1 4 months ago
@raztis1 Other investors will not. In fact, the Federal Reserve estimates that 40% of all stocks purchased inside the US are of foreign corps. These "other" investors will see the fact you want the US to be less attractive a place to invest. You see the fact capital flows to where it will earn more as evil. It isnt evil, it is normal. Patent rights allow a corp a monopoly for a period of time, to make higher profits, encouraging development. Your idea will reduce development, progress.

Athruebelief 4 months ago
@luvcheney1 besides, its not working anymore, if you keep buying the .15 chinese pencil, low income ppl r just gonna start robbing and killing u and taking your pencil. and that higher living standard will turn into not living. i hear it all day. i work with a lot of low income ppl, and prolly 6 out of 10 say, if the republicans take minimum wage, im gonna start robbing ppl, im gonna burn this place to the ground, because if they cant survive, then their enemy becomes corps.
raztis1 5 months ago
@raztis1 Corps MUST stay competitive, or they go away permanently. In the end, you will have Chinese pencils anyway. There ARE paths to increase living standards. 1) Fed Reserve policy lowers interest rates, to promote growth. This promotes debt, its easier to pay. It discourages saving, there is little incentive at low rates. 2) Tax investment income discourages investing. Tax deductions for mortgage debt, encourage debt. These are just 2 Fed policies that encourage stupidity.
luvcheney1 5 months ago

Athruebelief 4 months ago
@Athruebelief Go manage any business, with a few employees, and see if everything will be perfect. You cant have perfection. Its not possible. It cant be legislated either. Thats why "punitive damages" means a remedy in court, a civil action. THAT is what motivates, not some idiot Govt flunky.
luvcheney1 4 months ago
@luvcheney1 cont from bottom... whats worse... a few companies quit selling in america, a few go out of business. or the fall of america, when labor becomes so poor that we all say fuck it and go burn new york to the ground? and any company that doesnt pay a living wage.. we burn to the ground.. millions die from starvation, and millions more are robbed, shot, and murdered for their food.. because that is where were headed by cont. to give corps everything.. its alr started w/ the protests
raztis1 5 months ago
@luvcheney1 cont from bottom.. if you make 20k a yr, and have three kids.. either the govt pays the 3-6$ an hour for childcare, or u dont work and they pay for everything.. we had a higher living standard BECAUSE we didnt have "credit ratings", every job requiring a degree, and company owners made about 5-10 times what they paid to their employees, not 100-1000 times. u cant have both, either the companies pay a liveable wage, or the govt taxes them and pays for social programs.

It lost its effect on the dog because he knew when to expect it. He braced himself for it and was able to cope with no problem after a while. He fought and stayed strong. Then they shocked him at irregular intervals. He couldn't braise himself to overcome it. Eventually the dog just laid down and accepted it. He gave up.

@taxiuniversum Wealth really isnt very disgusting. Poverty is disgusting, and America is the best place to not be poor. Plus, reefer for sale at the corner.

@ luvcheney1:
If you find poverty so "disgusting", then change it! You think the poor people in America are so well-off? Maybe then dare to leave your gated community one day! I have seen many places in the U.S. that definitely remind more of the Third World than of a developed country. All children when they get born are curious and active. But then, in so many places in the U.S., all they ever find is a crappy education, a gross lack of jobs and in general, grim perspectives for their future!
taxiuniversum 5 months ago
@taxiuniversum Actually, I live in a normal community, where the kids in the schools are at least 90% brown Mexicans, and many illegal. Your claim of no jobs is very funny, because all over Calif, illegals are working, driving SUV`s, living in big homes over 2400 sq ft, and BBQ`ing carne asada and drinking Bud. Of course, Americans cant find a job, being able to speak, read, and write English. They are told by the media there are no jobs, and they are stupid enough to believe it.

@taxiuniversum , that's because Billy Bob the voter has no idea who the Reeps really stand for.....the elite 2% of the population, and nobody else.

@ ffairlane57:
The SCUM amongst that elite, that is!

Assault weapons ban please.

@487shawn you mean the tommy douglas that endorsed hitler-like eugenics? yeah, we should all follow his good example.
cristoballs 5 months ago
@cristoballs yea the very eugenics you speak off are being carried out today by our multinationals all over the globe so whats the difference, and yes with all things no one person is totally right on every given issue and i disagree with him on that as his doctor trained bigotry from that era was prevelent at that time but over time and the trends of modern society we can see where this is all headed and i for one am hopeful that i won't be around to see it, but unfortunately my son will be!
487shawn 5 months ago
@cristoballs it used to be said that the ussr controled thier people by wiretaping thier phones, following them, interviewing there co-workers,opening thier mail, arresting them without warrant, hold them for indefinate periods of time, no trial before peers,no speedy trial, torture and other methods for false confessions, yea those fucking communist sure had a closed society sounds a lot like the us of today! keep worshiping greed and see where that takes the world, the blood bath will be huge!

Never in the history of our country has anyone had more power than the Koch brothers.
They've bribed all GOP members of Congress.
They have secret meetings w/ them to tell them how they want them to vote.
They advise that they'll give about $100 million to those in 2012 to those who go along w/ what they want.
Nothing passes thru Congress w/out their approval...more for the rich...less for the middle class.
They have way more power than Barack.
Welcome to a new America.
DillonDee1 5 months ago 2
@DillonDee1 Funny thing is that a lot of people don't even know who the koch brothers are and how badly they are affecting our lives .They have their hand in everything ! Browns paper towels, "Angel Soft" toilet paper, "Mardi Gras" napkins and towels, "Quilted Northern" toilet paper and paper towels, "Dixie" paper plates, bowls, napkins and cups, "Sparkle" paper towels, and "Vanity Fair" paper napkins, bowls, plates and tablecloths. The Atlanta-based company has operations in 27 states.

How about killing their power little bit ,so they will think twice before they kill us ???? But no , ass republican like yourself has to stand up for this mf...
jawsfan24 5 months ago
@jawsfan24 Economies of scale enable bigger companies to be more efficient, and in most cases they are able to out-compete, and sell cheaper. Consumers actually like paying less, because that enables them to have more cash left over, raising their living standards. I have no problem with you choosing to pay more if you think that best, but all the business WalMart does shows a lot of people actually enjoy paying less. Helping people live better, through greed. You like altruistic poverty?
luvcheney1 5 months ago
@luvcheney1 consumers don't like thier choices being limited to the cheap crap that these mega corps keep monopolizing the markets with due to the supply side bs economic of the republicans nor do they like having to call India for customer service for the junk they sell. They would much prefer good prices on quality products with decent service but these mega's come in and at firts offer some decent products for good prices until they run the compeition out of biz then it is cheap crap

@luvcheney1 Walmart parking lot is not empty because they pushed out competition lol so now there is not much options left , either buy for them or drive miles.
barsense 5 months ago
@barsense Of course! The stores that charge more go out of business. Who cares? Certainly not customers. because If they did, customers would be buying at the competition. You see, folks like you do not LIKE the results of Liberty. Customers CHOOSE which businesses survive, by buying there. Just like the people wanted GM and Chrysler dead.

@romanmir01 and have corporations run our lives directly?
MissNophi2U 5 months ago in playlist More videos from TheYoungTurks
@MissNophi2U Start your own business and run what? Without gov't forcing franchise monopolies, businesses cannot control your life. Competition for your individual vote in form of money is a wonderful thing, you should try it again, it worked wonders before gov't screwed it up.
romanmir01 5 months ago
@MissNophi2U As to corporations running your lives - oh, they are running your lives alright. They are running your lives completely as they are part of government structure.
Have gov't attempt to control businesses, and some businesses will become part of government and really control you.
romanmir01 5 months ago
@romanmir01 I've seen you around alot. So you want no Military, no roads what so ever, no fire protection. Is this correct?
Teremei 5 months ago
@Teremei
3. Fire protection is a local issue.
romanmir01 5 months ago
@Teremei

@calimar28 absoulty they have caused more distruction in the world than any organization i can think of they have always been used as a tool for the ultra rich industrialist to put countries under there control! and be dammed for the lives they distroy, the only problem is that overseas our multinationals are our ambassitors and every time they take water land or lives it the west seen as evil as most believe they represent us!

syzygy502 5 months ago
@syzygy502 How can you honestly say that, when not only did the teaparty scortch your party in 2010, but last night they won in Nevada, and the GOP won a house seat in (hold on) BROOKLYN NY of all places! (Wieners old seat). I MEAN COME ON! BROOKLYN! :-o
Obamas approval dropping like a paperweight...the economy is sinking him. And it wont get better. And your seriously thinking the dems will win back the house, senate and keep the presidency?
calimar28 5 months ago
@syzygy502 You really believe that the dems will win in 2012, after losing a seat in BROOKLYN NY last night????
The economy is sinking Obama. And it wont get any better. Ironically it is Obama's own policies making it worse! He wont deport illegals anymore, which would free up about 6 million jobs to Americans, and right now! He wont dump the corporate t
