I loved the Rock&Sock Connection, but I loved it even more right after this PPV when the McMahon Faction started. The Rock and Triple H's fued went on for almost a straight year. When Triple H won the belt and held it until Backlash. It was so frustrating but at that the same time it felt like you were literally watching The Rock on a journey to win the title again. You just wanted to watch it to see what Triple H and Steph would have in store for The Rock week after week and so on.
I wouldn't call the Outlaws THE best. As far as I'm concerned they are 6th. Talking standard 2 man tags here so factions like the Freebirds, D-X, and the Four Horsemen are out. 1. LOD 2. Edge and Christian 3. Dudleys 4. Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart 5. RVD and Sabu 6. Outlaws 7. Hardyz 8. Demolition 9. The Rockers 10. Harlem Heat
@kaldemvor I think the New age outlaws are one of the best tag teams in history. even though we can think of much more like the Hardy Boyz, Legion of Doom. Dudley Boyz, The Rockers (Shawn Michaels & Martty Jannetty), Edge & Christian/The brood, APA/Acolytes, Unholy Alliance (Undertake & The Big Show), DX (HHH &HBK), The Hart Foundation, British Bulldog and Dynamit kid, The Demolition (Axe & Smasher), The Head Bangers, The nation of domination, wild somoans, natural disaster
@MRFittedcap5950 I'm not trying to take anything away from them, but I do believe there were many better teams, including several that never received the credit they should have.
this is why the tag titles were worth something, wwf back then weren't scared to partner up some of their top stars. not only did you have the rock and sock connection, but you also had the two men power trip and brothers of destruction. they actually competed in the tag division for several months.
i always wanted to see more of this team, its right up there with kne and undertaker, the time shawn michaels and stone cold where a team, and the hart foundation, its too bad that there wasnt more of them together.
No... don't bring back the Rock and Sock Connection... The Rock coming back at Wrestlemania 28 is enough of a nostalgia act for me thank you very much... Mick Foley is ridiculously fat and slow and past his prime... Did you see him in TNA? His last World Title reign... man... that was hard to watch... all respect in the world to The Hardcore Legend, Mick Foley... but stay retired... please...
Why can't I find Kane vs X-pac in a steel cage at this PPV?

J.R.: The New Age Outlaws are "in my view, the best team in tag team history."
