@supacheef1 You don't even know who your criticizing, this is probably the first song you ever heard by DM. Delbert is a music legend,..he's been singing nearly 40+ years & arguably one of the top soul/blues singers of his time, and on top of that can do country. He's very underrated if anything.

Yeah, that mountaintop removal mining is a real "economic engine". Just like strip mining was in Western Kentucky.

The place looks like a lunar landscape, the water's all poisoned, the jobs left when the coal ran out, and the American taxpayers are stuck with the Super Fund bill!

As for our economy being a mess, you can thank Dubya for that. He ran 2 wars without including the cost in his budgets, and he allowed our real estate market to become the equivalent of a toxic waste dump.

Are you kidding? No respect and recognition. Look who is in this video, Kix Brooks, Rodney Crowell, Suzy Boggus, and Pam Tillis. He has done songs with the likes of Tanya Tucker, and Bonnie Raitt whom he won a Grammy with. He has shared the stage with many like Martina McBride, Asleep at the Wheel, and many others. He is one of those people that many in the industry will jump at the chance to sing with or record with. If that ain't respect I don't know what is.

Delbert McClinton is just about one of the best "story tellers" we have left...His simple but gifted way with lyrics remind me of Roger Miller in his prime..Plus ..Delbert can flat burn the house down with his blues/rock shout just like he is supposed to..great artist!
