i have ALOT of respect for Halfords vocals. But Ripper is fucking dynamic and energized this band when they needed it. This song and video are fucking awesome
@18galen He was in Iced Earth after Priest. Now he's a singer for Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force and Charred Walls Of The Damned. Beside that he release a solo record about two years ago.
i love ripper he is great to his fans i hang out at his bar ripper owens tap house on waterloo rd great place to eat watch sports and see great bands like lynch mob and l.a. guns
Why are some of you commenting on Blaze Bayley when this is a Judas Priest vi"DIO".Why compare as they are both good, just enjoy what you came "HEAR" to watch!!!!!!!
The Ripper can easily enchant an audience. His vocals are amazing, but all his little stage quirks, and his energy, all combine for one heck of a stage presence. That's why people like Owens more so than Blaze. While I thought Blaze was good on his own songs with Maiden, he just couldn't pack the punch on any of Bruce's or Diano's material. Tim brought his own presence into the band, and turned Priest into a brutal heavy metal machine.
Owens is much like Maiden's Blaze Bailey, I never really enjoyed his time with the band but he has grown on me, Owens more so since he can sing much better and Blaze had such a bad time with his voice on tours with the Irons
@FreakinSweet86 maybe you meant tim and blaze were the same in terms they were the substituttes for dickinson and halford, but in voice the ripper destroys crushes and leaves bayley looking like a little toy .t even when the ripper was with priest it gave the band its touch of more heavy and brutal style .this is the period where judas priest played fully armored heavy metal .while iron maiden was struggling with a poor frontman named blaze bayley .im a maiden fan .
@FreakinSweet86 you heard ripper singing king diamond songs... he is the only one can sing his songs better than king... or you heard him singing annihilator's alison hell better than randy rampage
@TheLoke666 That's pretty cool because I think the majority of Priest fans don't like the Ripper records as much. But isn't it true that the first one someone is exposed to is often their favorite. Anyway, this is a very under rated lp.
I miss those great videos Judas Priest made in those days Painkiller, A Touch Of Evil, Burn In Hell even Revolution. They should go back to this image again and drop those digital animations they are making for us lately
I think their ebst albums are mostly from Painkiller untill now, the only old JP album i consider to be one of their best is Screaming for Vengeance, then Painkiller, Jugulator and Nostradamus are their best as well
@MetalHeadFilipeG96 All Judas albuns are great, but I still prefer the older ones. The older a song is, the better it is. I think the same of many other bands! See u brother fo metal!
@MetalHeadFilipeG96 Yea, you're here very correct folks;)) Jugulator is a fantastic record, only a bit behind the Painkiller. My fav Priest album is Painkiller but Jugulator is close behind. I'm a big fan of Ripper Owens I've heard every album made by this guy after he joined Priest and Jugulator is easily his best album so far. Songs like Burn In Hell, Death Row, Cathedral Spires, Decapitate pure kick ass!!!!!:))
@MetalHeadFilipeG96 Defenders of the Faith is a great album as well. The sound of the guitars isn't as heavy as I like (well the guitars are little back in the mix with a lot of bass in the front) but the material is top especially if played live. Freewheel Burning, Jawbreaker, The Sentinel, Love Bites, Some Heads Are Gonna Roll, Eat Me Alive, nearly ALL of the songs are classics. And Stained Class is a great very underrated album as well.
ya, pretty much all the albums from Sad Wings of Destiny to Defenders of the Faith can be considered classics, and then Jugulator, Angel of Retribution and Nostradamus too, the only JP albums that arent classics to me are Rocka Rolla, Turbo and Demolition, but theyre still great
its not my fav of them, my fav of all is Painkiler, but Jugulator is oe of my favs of JP as well, and its extremely underrated, as well as Nostradamus, both these albums are 2 of their best and no one seems to give them the recognition they deserve, im glad to see theres a Judas Priest fan who isnt close minded
i have ALOT of respect for Halfords vocals. But Ripper is fucking dynamic and energized this band when they needed it. This song and video are fucking awesome

@FreakinSweet86 Ripper is a lot better singer than Blaze. Blaze can't really scream he only sings in baritone range.

to be a good singer? Typical juvenile dumb metalhead.
