  • @quickandcool, I couldn't of agree with you more. The black community is the only race of people that loves to dog each other out. Yes, i am an American that is happens to be black. All this movie did was make black women hate black men even more, and these black women are just falling for like flies on SHIT. To all my black brothers and sisters, STOP BEING SO FUCKING NARROW-MINDED. I have traveled all over the world and people who's skin is dark as mine don't ack like what Tyler Perry portraye

  • @guybeleeve clearly NOT!

  • The movie actually was not as depressing as I anticipated, though I will say that if you did not see "Woman Thou Art Loosed" then you do not need to go see this movie

  • I'm so sick of black women AND men acting like our lives completely suck. True, some stuff we can't control. But damn it stop blaming the world for your problems and take freaking control of your own life! THATS what this movie fails to portray. There's hope in this world. This movie SUCKED because it failed to demonstrate that WE control a majority of what happens to us. Women, STOP BLAMING MEN for all your problems. Thank you.

  • did you know that tyler is gay? well that is what my mom said.

  • TELL THESE BITCHES YOU WANT YOUR RIB BACK.

Stay single fellas you'll live longer.

  • It is sad that we have to tear one another down to make it. Rappers tear down and degrade women to so called make it and Tyler Perry tears down men to so called make it. The problem with black men and women is that we forgot God in our reach for success. We want what the world has to offer so badly that we destroy ourselves. Look at it for what it is. For Tyler to make it, he has to put on a dress, lifting up the black woman and diminishing the black man.

  • How can a 6ft cross dresser(Tyler perry) teach a man to be a man when he always parading around as a woman? Can black ppl not see how far black films have fell? Remember Shaft, Dolemite, Friday Foster, Truck Turner, Cleopatra Jones, 3 The hard way any spike lee joint. What happened?

  • @guybeleeve nigga shut the fuck up!!!!!

  • @0Moreno0 Wow i must have touched a cross dressers nerve. The movies are ignorant and your ignorant reply just proves it.

  • @guybeleeve cross dresser this cross dresser that, nigga did you get the fucking message?

  • @0Moreno0 Yeah more of your ignorant ramble, which proves it's total ignorance because of the words you are using. If you are a man and had any self respect YOU WOULD DENOUNCE TYLER PERRY! Do we need to argue with each other? That bastard works for the enemy(fake jews) who pay him to put negative images of black men and all black women as victims of the black man. When we all are victims of this feminist fag society. Thats the real message.

  • @guybeleeve last time I checked white people (hollywood) made plenty of movies degrading their own race and do you see white people protesting? (no because it's the reality)

blacks are the biggest crabs, love to hate each other especially those who are successful. if you want terry perry to stop downgrading black men then fix your fucking selves up cos there are plenty ignorant, deadbeat, DL, rapist and molester niggas around the black community and youre probably one of them. hotep

  • @0Moreno0 Wow you must be a woman then, and you admit yourself the movies ARE degrading to blacks. So white people do it so why shouldn't we do it as well? Well let's just go and enslave a whole nation and treat them like shit cause the white people did it as well. Utter nonsense!! Just continue to believe what you want and believe in this bullshit system and see what happens.THERE IS NO HOPE FOR THE BLACK RACE IN AMERIKKKA especially for you. OH, and I'm none of those things for the record.

  • you took 4 min to get to the point. geez brother

  • the acting in this movie was beyond excellent, especially considering the B movie script..it was like a lifetime movie with a black cast. It goes.. black men will rape you, kill your children, beat you, and give you aids..Tyler Perry pulls the same cheap tricks to get the same demographic to get into his movies, but it works cause they keep running to the theaters everytime he comes out with these over the top sap stories

  • The black community would be up in arms if we made a movie called "for white girls".The reason racism is still alive is because blacks cant let it go.Always claiming to be opressed...you cant be walked over unless you are lying down.Get the fuck up and join the rest of us or shut up.

  • @chrisryan8478 The title is based off of the old play called "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Gets Enuf". It was written from a black feminist perspective, thus black women were used in the movie, but the characters were also represent by a particular color that they often wore.

  • God Bless you Spike Lee Jr.

  • the movie was for colored girls, why you go see it? You should've read the book first and if he lost your vote you shouldn't have gone to see it just to complain, not everything is for everybody. I ain't gonna go see diary of a mad black man because I know it ain't for me so yawl dudes need to stop walking around all sensitive. what happened to men being men not egos easily bruised like punks as if he was talking about you. as I said if you read the choreopoem u woulda know what it was about

  • njoyed this great movie in web movie tube

  • this movie was crazy! & very depressing, don't B deceived by all the beautiful blk women in the movie, they all acted crazy, all the plots didn't make since, the most ridiculous pt N the whole movie was when they girl allowed some crack head to give her abortion in some very dirty apartment, the other one was the babys being thrown out the window very over the top & crazy! Janet part was nice, Whoopi ,why! was she even there? the thing that bother me the most was ppl talking southern like poems.

  • You ramble too much homie.

  • Also, the full title of the book/play is: For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow if Enuff. And based on what happens in the book the title is understandable. Before people, especially black people, tear things like this down they should research it the time socio-political, where the author was in their life, etc. because all of that makes a difference as far as context. Also, everything in life doesn't have a happy ending. That's just reality.

  • @vaunjay hmm 1975 all i cared about was getting high and getting laid i did not know antthing about this play i have only just recently saw the movie by tyler perry and did not understand it at all nothing like this could ever happen these days but now knowing the time frame i can almost understand just because of the title for colored girls upset me because i do not know any uncolored girls the movie is intrigueing but like all movies falls short im just glad ive never read the book

  • Having read the book of choreopoems and it is quite heavy material. Something that squeezed into 2 hours 2.5 hours I'm sure is hard to take. And while I do understand why many will like it and hate it I just want to say, because I'm sure most have never read it, that a lot of the issues are real. There are DL men, rapists, men suffering from mental issues, etc. Would it have been an easier pill to take if all these issues were separate movies? Yes, but the book is not a series. It is 1.

  • OMG i love this review I felt like I live in a alternate universe this movie was not good and did not dipict us good at all and the fact black people loved it boggles me

  • so what about the movie? majority of waht u said had nothing to do with a review.

  • Oh my gawt! Are you acting in this review because if you come across this way in person you're very irritating. You love the sound of your own voice and think you're clever. Ugh, my husband kept telling me to turn off the sound. You have to be acting. Dis can't be da trewf.

  • oh i forgot and one was a crazy murder...wow how does that portray our black men. i bet after this movie alot of people are terrified of black men. smh(shaking my head)

  • @shebrownsuga ,,I was checking out the reviews and the comments referring to them,, and I'm amazed at how dumbed-down black folk are,,I still can't believe how many black people loved this movie that portray blacks as a sub-human race,,and the only good black man is a cop , in reality a black cop is the last person on earth you would want to have a run in with,, n-e-wayz,, thank-u my beautiful intelligent nubian princess,, for being a cut above the rest,,keep using your third eye, all is good.

  • @shebrownsuga You don't make any sense! How is that going to make people terrified of black men? since when are all black men the same??

Him being black had nothing to do with murdering the kids, he had a alcohol problem( addiction) and it led him to do horrible things like abuse his wife and murder his kids.

In the movie she did not judge him for his problem, she sat down and told him that he needed help with his problem.

  • @Thierryjr88 what is sad is the movie is true so therefore black men need to step of they game, coz tyler perry is showing what we as black women come in contact with, at first i was like that's not me, that's not me and that's not true, but the longer i live i am seeing it is true..our men are becoming gay, sum are crazy, our women are settlling for less...it's true...

  • @Thierryjr88 what is sad is the movie is true so therefore black men need to step up they game, coz tyler perry is showing what we as black women come in contact with, at first i was like that's not me, that's not me and that's not true, but the longer i live i am seeing it is true..our men are becoming gay, sum are crazy, our women are settlling for less, not recognizing the red flags because good men are hard to come by..its a mess.if u no u a good man then it should not offend u.im jus sayin

  • @thierryjr88 i mean to be honest some people are already terrified of black men..yes, another race can have alchohol problems but this movie is specifically about black people...it was a bit exaggerated...now sum people, tv is all they know and they automatically associate it with the black race is all im saying..unfortunately,

  • the best part was the poetry... das it. i respect Tyler Perry but that movie was horrible, yes bad things happen to people even in the black community but wowww! all in one time frame.. very sad, sad movie...we as black women need to believe there are good black men out there...there was not one positive black man in that movie..oh i forgot the police officer but they didnt shine no light on him..the rest were, sorry, a rapist, and gay! way to go that makes black men look so intelligent! smh

  • @shebrownsuga ,,exactly ,, all in one frame,, making it look like the black man is the scum of the earth,, making more of our sisters run to the white man,,,when the black man sees this he runs to the white woman who still sees him as a god in her eyes,, this movie only hinders the black relationship,,it doesn't help anything, it pushes the black man and women farther apart,,what about the slut who was molested by her father, stolen out of white peoples lives,,fuck tyler perry!!!!!!!!

  • @getaura1 go to white women and we'll those black women that don't want black men will go to white men, problem solved. If a movie can cause you to turn to white women, you're just a weak punk azz negro, not strong enough for a black woman. Not everybody is for everybody

  • @melohdrama7 ,,the problem is a real punk azz negro i.e. tyler perry who wants to further destroy the very essence of the u.s. nubian via negative imagery , hollywood has done this for decades,,not just this movie,, you fucking idiot,,these stereotypes are propagated by ppl who want the melanites to hate themselves and love the non-melanites, blacks are being bombarded by this type degradation turning them into a punk azz negro not strong enough for its nubian counterpart, " MALE AND FEMALE "

  • @getaura1 wtf your personal and sensitive issues do not reflect how normal minded men and women that have lives feel. There were many black men walking out of the theatre talking about how good the movie was when I went, some with black women some not. A movie is ENTERTAINMENT, it has it's demographic and black women are not as weak minded as black men are. A MOVIE is not going to make a black woman that wants to be with a black man leave. Take accountability for being ignorant...

  • @melohdrama7 ,,look ,, my fight ain't even with you,,and you're right about 1 thing , I'm not a normal minded person,,I'm sure all the " normal minded " ppl talked about how good that movie was,,but minds like mine, which aren't desensitized , take attacks like these against my people very personal, only " normal minded " ppl could consider this movie as entertainment. Weakness favors no gender. MOVIES mold more minds than you think,, especially the " NORMAL ONES "...

  • the reason why black men are in the shape they are in is because they are not playing their roles and they want to keep playing the victim and blaming everybody else but their own selves for their conditions. People can not do to you but what you allow, think about that. And like I said, if a black woman don't want to be with a black man she's not going to be regardless of a movie. I hardly see you dudes focusing on rappers degrading and exploiting black women in videos I wonder why hypocrites

  • @melohdrama7 ,,brethren,, wake-up,,please,, the black man has been conspired against at every facet in life,,and those that don't know history are doomed to repeat it, this is why the black man is in the shape they are in because they have no knowledge of self, continuing to let ppl like you tell them who they are; normal minded,rapist,homosexual,child-killer,incest-molester,pimp,theif, hollywoods portayal of the black man,,and I don't do rap music or music videos, I'm an adult not a hypocrite..

  • @melohdrama7 You are 100% correct. One can not walk over you unless you are lying down

  • THIS MOVIE IS BULLSHIT....This comes from the slave mentality,, it is a direct assault on the black man,,in know way was this film empowering , it was only degrading, the black race even more, and so what it had big names why would you trust any one who lies for a living,,you have grown to love suffering this is why''you applaud such grotesque tragedy,, they keep telling you you ain't shit to keep you thinking you ain't shit,,and who took there kids to watch this shit,,spiritree, u dumb ass

  • @getaura1 Man why you calling me a Dumb ass? You are a prime example of what this movie is about ! I am in my late 40's and my adult kids are old enough to face reality. I dare you to insult me like that. Do you talk this kind of away to your elders when you get angry? You should be ashamed of your rage; because I used my money that I earned to see something i want to see. I don't know about you, but I have mad respect for my elders.

  • @Spiritree41 ,,,you are a sheep being led to slaughter,, mindless of what's really going on,,,oblivious to the inner workings of hollywood,, you are asleep,,this movie displays blacks as demonic and incapable of critical trhinkining,, further adding to the onslaught of degrading stereotypes declared on blacks,, and whites don't have to make these movies if blacks make them, so therefore they aren't racist,,BULLSHIT, you should spend your money more wisely dumb-ass; YOU SHEEPLE!!!

  • @getaura1 Wow you are one of those Black Men Tylor betrayed in the movie. Your language is very defensive to your elders and God knows what else you have done. Mercy on your soul and Foul tongue my dear child...

  • worst movie everrrrr. ..should have seen SAW in 3D...

  • Ok your kind of contradicting yourself because u say that you liked the play when it came out in the 1970s but did not like the fact that Tyler Perry has now made it into a motion picture because you say in so many words that it's putting an image out. Okay when it was written as a play it put the image out there, so you cant put the blame on Tyler for that kind of image being put out about the black community. I think some light should be shined on the things that we as black women go through.

  • @precious11686 i get what u r saying, and maybe the movie was misinterpreted from the play. I'm not sure. but when people say this is what black women go thru. smh. ...rape, getting cheating on, abused, getting stds, has no color... these things happen to anybody of any race..but i believe the play may talk about racial struggles politically and relationships and if so that would make since for a title "for colored girls".but..the movie portrayed black people very badly...

  • TYLER LOVES GAY MEN!

  • THESE MOVIES TURN MEN GAY BEWARE!

  • you fuckin racist bitch tyler perry makin more money than you dream of

  • Dont you just hate it when people go off on rants/arguments on a video?? Lol.

  • i mean it was a play sorry lol but samething he did not write it

  • tyler perry did not write this movie it was a book turned into a movie and a movie is make believe last i checked unless based on a true story unforunately all races encounter these problems it was just directed at black women

  • @LUSCIOUSGEMINI True+its a damn shame its only directed2blk women.

  • @LUSCIOUSGEMINI well, das true

  • I totally agree with you, but I get sick or hearing image image image. Why do we as African Americans feel we need to be portrayed in a certain way or act a certain way to acheive this sort of whiteness/normalcy. I personally like to see us portrayed in all aspects. Most of us arent living the american dream (as defined by white america) and cant relate to an image of mother/father, 3 kids and a dog and white picket fences.

  • Ya black people, keep feeling sorry for yourselves. Your great great great granddad could of been a slave.

Yes white and black people are different. You guys abandon your kids, steel shit, and rape more people than we do. But, you can make fun of us for watching Seinfeld....

    let it burn ;)

  • @chiefpacman if ur gonna try to be funny then at least spell right. its steal not steal dumbass!

  • @MzzDivaWitEdge09

rofl! How funny that u misspelled what I wrote while trying to correct me :P

  • @chiefpacman You really should lay YOUR crack pipe down and visit the FBI crime report for 2009.. read it and weep. YOU WHITES DOMINATE VIRTUALLY every area of crimes when it comes to committing and arrests..violence against children and family, RAPE , theft of all sorts, drug use, drunkeness, weapons possession, etc.

NO ONE GIVES A CRAP that Yurugus watch Jewish Seinfeld.

  • @EbonyNewsChannel

that must be why people lock their doors when they pass blacks, cause they trust them and they are upstanding citizens :P.

sure with our Superior brains we are often the master minds, but u guys do their dirty work

  • @chiefpacman being that everything whites have they got by theft, terrorism, murder and deception and that they NEVER honor treaties and agreements, I LOCK MY ISH UP when I see a cracker, I grab my animal, lest they sexually abuse him.. I have observed whites molesting him in a disturbing way, AND I CLUTCH MY BAG A BIT TIGHTER.. Knowing the FBI stats & the history of whites, IM WELL AWARE OF WHO THE THEIVES ARE.. but ur attempt @ deception was amusing.

  • @EbonyNewsChannel

I can't tell if ur joking and trying to piss off blacks with me lol. I mean, go watch the news, 9/10 criminals are black. Our prisons are full of black people, even though us whites are the majority population.

  • @chiefpacman THE ONLY THING you do when you keep replying to me, is making the case for whites being something OTHER THAN HUMANE, you make the case to me that I should suspect you ALL as being Racists ( White Supremacists) and you offer me MORE & MORE evidence & support to my belief that you all are the inherent, NATURAL SWORN ENEMIES to black people. I have NO interest in conversing with you, yucking it up or joking. YOu do NOT impress or amuse me AT ALL! The FBI proves HIGH white criminality

  • But I'm not as racist as I was being earlier, its just that when black people feel sorry for themselves its annoying. I actually like blacks fine, I just am not totally blind. I see that there is a difference, and not all races are the same. Whites are thinkers, even if we can be uncontempt as a whole and screw stuff up for other races. Blacks are good at sports, usually funnier, and humble people, even if they can be criminals ALOT. and mexicans should just stay the fuck out of USA

  • @chiefpacman To pit people in groups and label them is the epitome of racism. White people aren't thinkers and Black people aren't good at sports. When you throw people into groups the conclusions you create will always be wrong. White and Black are simply skin colors and have no bearing on what people can and can't do. I don't see why Americans have such an issue with understanding this.

  • @chiefpacman YOU should stay the "FUCK" off of the board and conversations that DO NOT pertain to you.

This was not a video hosted by a CRAKKER or about CRAKKKER movies or CRAKKKER plots, so the only reason I see for you and others like you being here is to attempt to take a conversation between black people about black people & make it all about you. I don't even think you are a human, so all the BS comparing black people to YOU is typical of destructive, deceiptful, savage creature, Usual BS.

  • @EbonyNewsChannel You know Ebony, I have met QUITE a few Black Supremacists-but none really who are accidental ones. You are acting like an accidental supremecist. You're telling this person about themself saying they are guilty of putting whites on a pedestal, but ur doing same identical thing. Trying to convince anyone ur race is better is foolish. SUPER foolish-and virtually diminishes ur point because it lacks sustance. More proof ur both the same thing. His point about blk ppl pitting(Cont)

  • @Vickelepickel What is a black supremacist? Who do they dominate? Who do they subjugate or rule over? How did they oppress you? What is an "accidental supremacist? I couldn't tell you that I am or am not acting like one when I don't know what one is. Who did I put on a pedestal? Quote me please. Who did I try to convince that MY race was better? What is MY race?

  • @EbonyNewsChannel themselfves is right..too many times thats all I hear. And if ur tired of him-ignore him. But u also need to get a clue and hear what I just said out. You acting a fool and trying to say how demoralized white ppl are not only wasted ur time, but fell on deaf ears. if u wanna make moves and points do u really think name calling is helping? Why act ignorant? Because two wrongs would make a rite??Your just arguing to blow smoke..I mean u may as well go bk2Africa cuz ur not serious

  • @Vickelepickel If anything I said fell on deaf ears, how is it that it seemed to engender so much of a response from YOU? How am I "acting ignorant?" What am I ignoring? You can attempt to psycho-analyze me if you'd like.. but I would advise that you keep your day job.. I WILL INDEED make it a point in my life to go to AFRIKA.. because I AM SERIOUS.

  • @EbonyNewsChannel To clairify, when I said what u said fell on deaf ears-if you re read what I said (*without it being taken outta context) it was what u were saying to they guy u called urself informing. An Acidental Supremecist is someone who believes their race is supreme without screaming it from the roof tops. You act, portray, and push it subliminally. When arguing with that man u should have acknowledeged the fact that their is filth in every race! Not that white ppl have more Contd'

  • @EbonyNewsChannel about educating anyone. So go be Mr. Ummfoo-foo in the bush. Oh. Cuz u don't know where u belong! Because ur an American ya ass!! U hate the "man" so leave us all, you don't really care about upgrading your race. You just care to down and be counterproductive..not even realizng u continously seperating our people is hindering and not helping. Get over urself man, or get gone!

  • @Vickelepickel Who is the "us" you speak of? Are you a white person? Is this why you used the standard Racist/ White Supremacist Umfoo foo BULLSHYT? Because you believe that Afrikans are inferior & you enjoy demeaning Afrikan culture/language people? Or are you a black person who mimicks the behavior of a racist/white supremacist?

The rest of your rhetoric is equivalent to waste. If you don't like what I am saying, you needn't expend so much energy on it.

  • @EbonyNewsChannel stupid ignorant people! Whats the point of going bk+forth over which race is worse?? Its a hinderance! Breaking apart any stitching of change that could have been created..hence me saying its counterproductive. And You arent getting psycho analized buddy, Im just pointing out what I noticed from the convo. Its not like u were the only one who got "informed", the other guy got it too. And I went to the Umfoo foo comment, becuase too many times black ppl rep Africa Contd

  • @EbonyNewsChannel And wanna "hate" on America SO much, its super tiring. Other nations do it too but its mostly black ppl. They hate it here so much. Well I don't. I don't fully support all the decisions made here w/our government, but I love it in my free nation. No ones putting me in prision if I wanna read a bible, nor ridiculing me if I show my face+hair. I can wear pants, make-up, and carry a gun too! In Africa, thats not so. You see, Im more informed that you may expect Contd..

  • @EbonyNewsChannel And yes they can wear make up+such but the ppl+their worth aren't much. You can care about Africa and where your blood originated without being a cynical hater of where you are. When u talk sh_t, you forget you were born in a hospital and have the privilage to be a computer-working and gettting paid more than "peanuts", wearing clean clothes, having the option2drink bottled water. The privilages here are countless+ppl wanna "down" the nation?? Get real. U hate the-Contd

  • @EbonyNewsChannel the white man so much? Then leave the country!! The white man is partially how the country got to be where we are. Its not perfect by any means, but I get to be free and independant becasuse of it. And the whining over the fact that it was white faces that did it-now thats not the case! Its not like black people aren't paving the way for better anyway!! Things have changed Umfoo foo, perhaps you should also change with the times. Oh and you got that name from Eddie Murphy Cont

  • @EbonyNewsChannel He did a show in the 80s-Raw..made a funny joke about him going for a woman str8 outta Africa. I don't believe Africans are inferior in fact I love Botswana+Gahana, and feel heartbroken for the women who are abused in everyway possible throughout the nation...You're just mad because you are "black" mindsetted and think everything is about race-and that everyone hates black ppl..youre obsessed over it +pissed I dont fit in ur typical box for a blk woman to act! Sorry, get ovr it

  • @Vickelepickel "No ones putting me in prision if I wanna read a bible, nor ridiculing me if I show my face+hair. I can wear pants, make-up, and carry a gun too! In Africa, thats not so"

thats a very general statement. Not every one in Africa is being persecuted for reading a Bible. Not Every one is being ridiculed for not covering their hair or face. Not every woman is forced to wear pants. not everyone is discouraged from wearing make-up. not every one is discouraged from carrying a weapn cont'

  • @jynxcupid That comment was incomplete- I meant throughout the nations(*from all the different bondage in nations throughout the world). How its different in the states. I got too wrapped up in what I was saying and got ahead of myself. I did not mean to pair the no make-up+non hair coverings with Africa-that should have been paired with the middle east, the bible thing with China, and no weapons with both of the afore mentioned. Thanks for the correction! I can see why this would upset

  • @jynxcupid I'm not completely dense on the things that go on in Africa. There are different (*not sure if thats what they'd be called) towns that are pretty modern and current, and the women are just as cosmopolitan as city girls out this way..Cell phones, heels everything and I know that too, but the areas that are poor are super poor, and the voices no one cares about-are lessned to complete silence. Its unerving to think about. Thanks for the correction like I said

  • @Vickelepickel Idk if it would have been too much trouble for you to attempt to be less all-inclusive in your commentary about Africa. I just thought i should point out that while you try so hard to break one stereotype regarding Black people in America, you are part of the people that perpetuate the stereotype regarding Black people in Africa

  • @chiefpacman that's just mean... and those are things a racist would say. it's not funny. racism apparently still lives in USA..but it is what it is....sadly some people never learn. how could you say u r not racist and say those things about blacks and mexicans...

  • @chiefpacman So you've been hurt by some losers who happen2 be black-ok. Me too. But unfortunatly you+Ebony are both correct. Visit the fbi site dude..and as for you Ebony, check yourself. You think blks are the supeme race-ur just as guilty as Cheif (*seemingly). He is right that blck ppl are constantly pitting themselves-but white ppl have their own flaws within the race. White ppl steal too..abandon their kids become coke addicts, alchys, and abunch of other junk. My point is u both need(Cont)

  • @chiefpacman desperately to get over it, and use ur big mouths for good. Try upgrading ur own damn race instead of contributing the deconstructioning of America but constantly seperating us even more! All this segregation is beyond stupid. The fact that we are still getting into heated discussions over it is pathetic, it 2010, get over ur differences! Stop trying to prove ur better than someone cuz guess what? In the end we r all exactly the same. All have pride, bleed, laugh+wanna love (Contd)

  • @chiefpacman So what the point of trying to convince us we arent simular? I am Italian, Black, and a string of others, my blood is proof we aren't as different as some believe. Funny enough-a thing u and Ebony share is the passion for your "cause". You are both unwilling2bend thus proving ur equal determination. Thats just one more thing u are both share. Im over all of this lame trash, what is wrong with you people?? And I wish like hell someone would ask me what I mean when I say u people. lol

  • I totally agree Ebony and believe me I truly sympathize with the women who have experinced this type of life style but i NOTICED A WHITE COUPLE THAT WAS SITTING IN THE movie with me and my wife and once the movie was over they had a demeanor on their face as if they felt sorry for the black woman, but if you look at lorretta divine that man didn't belong to her in the first place but we say whoa is LD for how she is being treated sometime we suffer by our choices. Lets examine each chararater.

  • Racism is not the problem. It is the lack of black people to support black movies. I have at least 5 friends who copied "For Colored Girls" on bootleg. This is a problem.

  • @allTRIPLE1 I BOOTLEGGED THAT TRASH TOO.. Dammit to hell if I like some FOOL, spend my money and support that black inferiority BULL CRAP... THE problem is that black people are in such a sad mental state that they won't buy silver or gold and secure their futures, or think of going to their homeland, but will support and defend Tyler Perry's brute beasts, Sapphires, Jezebels, Mammy, Coon and Tom characters!

  • @EbonyNewsChannel WISH I had a copy instead, too!!

  • @YoBootyStinks a TP film will be just a predictable and full of negative stereotypes a week later than it will be on opening weekend. You save your $ and use it for more constructive things and when you see the bootleg, you can turn it off when you can't take the foolishness and come back and analyse it later.

  • great insight!!!!!

  • I guess a gay man(tyler perry) knows what it feels like to be a woman.

  • @vitorshaolin lol

  • I notice that most men who seen this movie did not understand the poems that broke down what was going on phylisha rashad dialog when speaking to kimberly and thandi (take resposibilty for your part) etc.also maci gray wow (if that was me i would have ran) Anika Noni Rose that on that hospital bed Oscar!

  • first man to understand!!! my god!!!

  • I dont think it makes black men look bad. Only ignorant people would think that this is an accurate depiction of ALL black men. I think it shows women of every color how much smarter we NEED to be when picking men.

  • @jazzzsexy Number one Im not ignorant. I said anyone who thinks that this movie depicts all black men is ignorant. You can't look at a movie and say this is an accurate depiction of all black men. I am an intelligent black woman. I have worked in countless areas of advocacy for women who find themselves in these positions from child welfare to domestic violence shelters. I see women of every race in those places thats why it is an important movie for women to see.Women have to wake up!!

  • CHURCH....GREAT REVIEW BROTHA. HOPE TO SEE U ON THE MOVIE SCENE SOON, GOD BLESS....

  • I went to see "For Colored Girls", the other day and I must admit the acting is great!! But in my opinion the movie sucked :( All these women pissed me off and I wish I could have gotten my money back. Again, the acting was great, the people was great, but the movie didnt make no damn sense to me, again, this is just my opinion.

  • @4EverEdward maybe its just a tad deep for you....poetry

  • @rictenwheel25 Or maybe it just didnt make no sense. I have took classes in the area of poetry and things that were related to this movie, it was the reason that I wanted to see it. I kinda resent this comment you made, because you dont know me to know whats a "tad deep for me". As I stated in my first post, it was my opinion, and I stand by it.

  • @4EverEdward, hey i'm not trying to offend you or diss you...peace out.

  • Psychmaj- I was a theatre mAjor in college very familiar with the play and book. Actually during that time dated the lady in red, green, and yellow of my colleges production. The play does not have a traditional plot but a collection of poems surrounding the Theme of "being" a black woman. Now Tyler "added" a plot full of holes that the play didn't. His material requires that you disconnect your emotions from your brain and I'd like to think that most women don't do that.

  • nice review

  • I enjoyed the Movie. I took my husband, daughtes, son, and my niece. We all enjoyed it. It was so colrfully done. Trylor done an amazing job. I am sure you all got more out of it than just the low down black man. But if the shoe fits, you must wear it. And dont forget, this movie is somebodies story. Alot of women are suffering this kinda abuse, and their stories will be told...

  • @Spiritree41 ,, how old are your kids if they are not young adults you should be ashamed of yourself,,exposing your kids to that filth ; whoredom, rape , child-molesting, incest ,child murder,,obscene ,language ,nudity, and homosexuality,,,what the fuck were you thinking,,,is this what you call family entertainment, or is this how you put your kids up on game with tyler perry movies, that make the world shun blacks even more.....

  • @getaura1 I am glad you asked. My two oldest daughters one is 19 the other 22, my son 24 my neice 20. My grown children have their own minds and can make good judgement decisions and they dont live on a fantasy island. They know that life aint all roses...Baby this movie is life... I and my husband are in our late 40s....

  • @Spiritree41 thank i am a young black female and some people are living in fairy land. That movie was so real and its hard for people to accept it.

  • @xugrl2010 , how real is it,, how many niggaz you know drop they're kids out of the window,,how many sistaz would of let that shit happen,,would you,, how many sistaz you know that are attractive, have jobs and have sex with strangers for free, non in america.. All races have problems, but blacks are the only ppl who's problems are amplified and exaggerated, making the world view blacks as the lowest standard of person,,and you champion this movie,as if its not making you the black woman look bad

  • @getaura1 you are entitled to your own opinion. Based on your previous comment i will not entertain your ignorant questions with a response. Nothing in that movie was exaggerated and please believe when i do speak on something its something i have experienced or know. Be naive if you want too.

  • @xugrl2010 ,,if those were ignorant questions then that was an ignorant movie,,,the question was for you to ask yourself,, how many people do you know first hand who behave in such a manner as the characters in this movie, however you still gave a response quite entertaining, lol,,I'm not naive to the problems and tragedies, in life, I live them as you do,, but it is you who is naive thinking that this type of poison should be illustrated,,its ghetto goth; depressive and degrading ,not art, sorry

  • @xugrl2010 thank u because me and my homegirl had went to go see that movie. we thought it was very depressing and degrading. It also makes black men look horrible. But alot of people disagree. We thought maybe it was just us that had this viewpoint, but finally someone feels the same way we do! Everyone goes thru problems but that movie makes it seem like black people are doomed when it comes to relationships...i don't remember one positive scene! sorry to say..im just sayin

  • Love the commentary!!! You are such a cutie!!! wink!

  • was disappointed by your critique. But I understand times are hard and Tyler Perry is hiring. However the film delivered exactly what I expected- Illogical plot devices, technical immaturity and a belief that his audience is as lazy as he is. The only tricks Tyler Perry has up his sleeves- Rape- Incest- and Domestic Violence were in full effect as usual. There is apparently not "enuf" room to explain the vast inexplicable implausibilities of Everything - If you care to discuss I welcome that.

  • @GHEDIXON lol, if the plot was illogical for you to understand maybe you should re-read the book?

  • @psychmaj323 There wasn't a PLOT in a poetry collection now was there?

  • @GHEDIXON don't forget the tried and tested TP tactic of black male emasculation.

  • i agree with ur review 100% and im so proud to say i kno u good luck with ur career

i cant want to see u on the big screen some day

    ~~Nicole N Bolden

  • its funny the person who wrote the movie was janet jackson,,ohh yea and she realy represents a true colered girl, just another movie bashing us black boys

  • @thefreashking totally agree if you look at each character except for the dancer each woman had a choice I know that sounds harsh but really think about each one and their situation, I always say a man can't do no more than what a woman allows. Think about what Phyllis Rashaad had told the girl who lost her kids? Not all men are down low brothas, abusers, or womanizers, I expected better from Tyler.

  • can somebody point me to a review that trashes this movie?

  • Great review! Everything you said is true about Tyler Perry. I think a lot of his movies seem to divide black men and women. He's NOT helping the cause at all!

  • @freddyjaye sooo, not shedding light on things that need to be talked about is helping our communities right? Not showing what needs to be shown because people are too afraid to talk or own up to mistakes is helping us right? Am I understanding you? And it's pretty evident that you look through one lens, your own, because had you really paid attn to his other films you'd actually see that they are three dimensional representations, showcasing positive and negative aspects of our communities.

  • good job on shoutin out to the crew and knowin your facts about the studio and the time frame for this movie. so many people miss that. it's the best part. lol ~tenaya

  • @blessmimi your right Hollywood. is real fake. the white Boyz got all the power, Brothaz are sqeezing in little by little. I was on the set of Eddie Murphy's Movie Norbit and some white chick said spike lee was a rascist. i guess she felt that way because he did a lot of movies like that in the 1990's I clearly wanted to slap her but what could i do living in Hollywood is like living back in Jim Crow days. In Cali they would have hung me if i touched her....

  • Yes!!!!!! :DdDDD

  • I was extremely pissed when I found out that he was doing this too....Although I respect him totally for who he is but Shange should not have let him do this movie...

  • THE MOVIE WAS AMAZING FOR WOMEN ALL OVER!!

  • @charramaria the movie is wack

  • I love all the actors n the the movie but the movie didn't do it for me!

  • I notice that black people get nominated for and win academy awards when they play degrading degenerate monsters.. Halle Berry- Monsters Ball, Monique Precious, Denzel- Training Day, Butterfly McQueen- a MAMMY in gone by the wind. White people love racist movies, that depict black people as subhuman, subservient victims of white supremacy & dysfunctional, SO HE OR THEY MAY WIN Something.

  • @EbonyNewsChannel I ALWAYS try to raise this point in conversations and lectures.

  • @crazyactor06 Check out WARONTHEHORIZONWOH.. you will LOVE IT.

  • @EbonyNewsChannel I AGREE! You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!! WHY can't people SEE THIS??!! RIDICULOUS!

  • @YoBootyStinks Severe BRAINWASHING and the need for validation by the dominant white culture.

  • @EbonyNewsChannel Thank you very much for pointing that out. I swear I was the only one who realized this crap.

  • @MichyGW Some of us are indeed learning how the game is played.

  • @EbonyNewsChannel I'm black and although what you imply is insulting; your right?...There is another way to look at it though as far as Butterfly McQueen; she was portraying what "was" and she was great with it!! (I have it on DVD, sorry but it's one of my favs) anyway those were the times, it "was" the South and she added her own style/charisma to that role. It couldv'e been played a million ways, but she was delighfull in it; they recognized that and nominated her for their highest award :)

  • @EbonyNewsChannel As far as the "modern day" actors go I agree; although I have to say for Denzel?...I think he really deserved it because it was something he NEVER played before and it was "jarring" to see him portray such a character then what we were used to seeing him play but I definitely see what you mean about all the others. I just try to make sure that there's no other way to look at a negative situation before I blame it on the obvious one (sigh)

  • Tyler needs to go see a dr and STOP making this self hate shit

  • @flavamagazine SAY THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • stop hating on tyler perry. he makes good movies. for colored girls was a very good movie. critics are just haters.

  • @snacks123 did you watch the entire vid?? I totally explained how much I thought it was a great movie and why I, personally, and hard on Mr. Perry.

  • @snacks123 LOGICAL FALLACY

  • This clip is sick

  • @Chaz770 sick bad or sick good?? lol

  • The movie was great, I hate how people keep saying it makes black men seem bad throw them under the bus as some would say. Black men do it to themselves everyday of the week.

  • @CerryMerry Get the hell out of here with that , black women Choose those type of men that does it to themselves. So their the blame, a lot of black women like victimization just so they can get into that constant drama shit, its tons of solutions to the things they go threw but they rather not do that. So don't blame us good brothas. Don't let the Tyler Perry movies get to yall head and start over exaggerating

  • @RealismOfLife k, well explain annika rose character choosing the guy who raped her? ! exactly

  • @RealismOfLife and just so u know I didn't like the movie either, but what u said kind of confused me :-/

  • @KMELIZ21 Never-mind forget it then , i'm just talking. I guess women never examine the men that they date

  • @CerryMerry Say that about black females "doing it to themselves every day of the week" when the Jews in Hollywood start greenlighting "black females aren't SHYT" movies.

  • Please don't HATE but do something crazyactor06
