But Persona was never about the action, it was always the characters. The only thing that stopped Persona 4 being the same old cookie cutter RPG as everything else was the characters, how they interacted and discovering things about them. They glossed over Chie and Yosuke's introductions and killed all the mystery of the murders almost immediately which in turn has ruined the atmosphere.

Huh? Chie's may have been slightly abbreviated, but not much... and Yosuke;s scenes seemed almost word for word. (Well, less wordy and melodramatic, but I'm fine with that. Yosuke's a putz.)

As for "killing the mystery"- it may be slightly less creepy since there's more dialog to fill the silence, but nothing's been given away.

I've come across a lot of people who watched the first episode (having not seen the series) and said it felt rushed and didn't like it as a result... then again I suppose there will be exceptions.

I'm still kinda miffed that they haven't even explained Personas yet.

@SSj5Bob - I'm afraid I don't understand. I can see some rough edges, but overall I'm very happy with the series so far.

This week's episode was great. Got to see the scene with Nanako and everyone at Junes, and Kanji's introduction. Two of my favorite characters from the game.

@SSj5Bob I have to disagree. I actually started watching the anime first and very quickly picked up on the plot, its not like its difficult to understand. Now, of course, I'm playing the game and enjoying it with more depth. But the anime does a sufficient job summarizing the game for new faces.
