Ritchie is great BUT could NEVER play the same solo twice if he wanted to.  The studio version is the best and most prolific playing EVER!....he gets an "F-" for immitating Ritchies solo....I can grind a guitar into a mike stand and fake the rest...I want a video in which he plays the studio version....Not available is it?!?!?!

Makes me wonder if he really played the studio version in the first place...even though I know he did. I like to improvise things and not opposed, just when a solo is SO PROLIFIC and the best you ever heard from Ritchie EVER.why would he Not recognize it and go off on junk notes pretending he was better than the recorded version??

It is a shame, but unfortunatley Ian and rB just cant get along. What bothers me, just a tad, is that when bands break up or other tragedies befall a band, that they keep the same name. Like Skynyrd...aint the same w/o RVZ, and neither is DP w/o RB...did I make any sense?

Ritchie could not get along with anyone, thats why Rainbow never could do 2 albums with the same lineup. As far as a bands name, whoever trademaks it has the rights, thats why several bands can have the same name

Blackmore was the boss of Rainbow. He wanted the best, and only the best. Everybody who got kicked out was either rubbish at playing their instrument or did shit (I believe it was the 2nd Singer who got kicked out, cause of being drunk on stage)

Yes!!! Ritchie is the man, but don leave out Ian Paice, Glover and Jon Lord. These line up was the classic. I love Gillan as well, just too bad the icons of the band didn't get along. This is for all masters and it happened with Gillan and Blackmore.

Can they let by gones be by gones ??? I hope so.
