  • I was browsing through quiche recipes and happened to see your recipe for spinach muffins.I'm not dieting, I have no dietary restrictions but thought that your muffin recipe was extremely healthy and delicious looking for just about anyone. What an excellent on-the-go breakfast for busy people. You really should submit your recipe to Epicurious or Weight Watchers. Good job on the combination of healthy ingredients.

  • I forgot to ask if these freeze well, so you can make a bunch and just toss them in the microwave.

  • You should totally make them with a little avocado 'frosting'. Mmmm.

  • Spinach are healthy if taken alone or as a juice. you fried them first with onions and thats a big no for people who are watching their weight and worried about their heart, and then you added those 6 EGGS with the Yolk, yekhe.fried bacon and cheese LOL how is this recipe healthy??? you better stick to the oatmeal, they are full of proteins as well, and don't forget that too much protein can make your uric acid so high, so easy on those ugly quiches.

  • @imaneadds Sauteing spinach is HARDLY frying it and if you Saute it in Olive oil it is a great heart healthy option. Egg yolks also provide a major source of vitamins and minerals and about 1/5th of the protein of the entire egg. An egg yolk also has 15.86g of protein in it and only has 60 calories. It is a misnomer that eggs are bad for you...sure if you eat 12 of them but really ...anything in large quantity is bad for us. .

  • @AnneGirlCarrots and further... The bacon is turkey bacon which again is a GREAT alternative to regular pork bacon. It's upwards of 90% fat free...45 calories a slice and less than a gram of fat per slice on average. The cheese is a low fat/reduced fat cheese and is super high in protein and calcium which is very important to a lapbander. Do you know how hard oatmeal can be for a lapbander? Such a judgemental person that has no clue on how hard it is for people trying to change their lives.

  • Thanks soooo much for posting this! Looks easy 2make& I'm glad they can be made ahead & stored. RE MORE PROTEIN: Tofurkey is a brand that makes a surprisingly delicious Italian or Polish sausage- 25 grams of protein each. i.e. 1/2 your Daily required. I'm not vegetarian but this is a great way 2get lots of protein in without cholesterol. Microwave sausage. Then toast a bagel, put cheese [or veggie cheddar] on with slices of the sausage, microwave few secs 2melt cheese. Voila! a tasty breakfast

  • @IamAbillionaireNow you can even put pizza or spaghetti sauce on before the cheese & sprinkle Italian seasoning over everything at the end. Children will love this for lunch as mini pizzas.

  • Thank for sharing! Big hit in the house. I put chopped deli turkey instead of turkey bacon and I used salsa instead of onion and garlic. It came out so good! Once again for sharing!

  • I did your quiche yesterday and it was a big success! Maybe I put a little too much dijon...How much you put exactly in this recipe?

  • @mayacalypsa i put in 2 tablespoons of dijon mustard, but you can put 1 or not at all if you don't care for it. Glad it was a success, it was a big hit here too!

  • @maxfaith28 thank you...i needed some extra protein and came up with this..it's the only way i will eat eggs or cottage cheese...so yummy! I had one for breakfast!
