However, they seem to be "generic" replies from people probably trying to get a link to their site. How do you get real customers. One of my blogs is on the 2nd page of google. That's a tough question to answer. I have no idea what the average is but my income would definitely support a family. It took me a few months to get the hang of website building but it's an ongoing process. 11 years later I'm still learning all the time. The education never ends.

Never, ever click your own ads. Google tracks IP addresses when you sign into your account and the ad clicks. So if they see the click matches the IP that was used to sign into your account they know. You could get banned so be careful. When you click on your own ads you are stealing from the advertisers who pay to promote their ad on your site. Trust me. It's working. No need to test anything.

Sometimes there is a delay in reporting. If your account is new they also may be testing to make sure the clicks are valid and not coming from the same computer. This is very normal.

Read up on SEO and learn what it takes to get your pages ranked high in Google, Yahoo, etc. I get most of my traffic from the engines and it took years of hard work but pays off if you really work at it.

I used to get mine as regular as clockwork. It seemed to stop after I let my hosting with SBI lapse. (Couldn't get through the brainstorming). But I was led to believe the 5 Pillar club was a seperate affiliate programme. I've tried contacting SBI direct, but no response.

I think establishing credibility and bringing in more traffic can be summed up by suggesting that people try to 'build a community.'

As Lisa suggested using Social Networking will help build a community that will really increase your credibility, which will then increase traffic, which will of course increase your income.

I would also suggest "spying" on your competition and see where there traffic comes from and try to use the same sources as they do
