I have a new found respect for this man. The fact that he conducted his own 'investigation', it shows he has the slightest bit of intelligence. He (as many other people will find if they bother to even scratch beneath the surface) was able to dispell the media perpetuated myths. Coming to the conclusion that this 'mosque' is infact a community centre, 2 blocks from GZ and by continuing to protest against it, you're effectively further alienating the good, law-abiding members of the community.

I think it's right to be concerned about islam. It's not a religion of peace. It's about as distant from a religion of peace as possible, and anyone who thinks it is a religion of peace is seriously delusional. The only problem with islamic fundamentalists is the fundamentals of islam. Moderate muslims have to reconcile their beliefs with the violence of their koran and answer for why - when there is so much violence related to religion, is most of it committed by the religion of peace?
This video was illuminating of something that I find to be repugnant and infuriating which is the adherence to religion of any kind in legislation of actual law and enforcement of any statute or law based on a spirit of religious roots. I hold based on the glaringly clear historical evidence I have so far examined, that all religion is man-made and farcical for the purpose of controlling territory and resources and it is obsolete in this era. But I would not force my ideal on someone else.
To continue and conclude this comment, I will speak of my perspective but I am not out campaigning to change your mind or anyone else's. The hysteria that allows for persons of certain affiliations and/or states of being to be put in the paths of reactionary, reflexive harm is indicative of the massive arrested development of mankind where the largess of the world's population is quite painfully stalled. @HillsideKlepht - This is why Islam's a threat. They started with Sharia in the U.K. and we allowed it for inheritance/family law and they're now also dealing with domestic abuse and battery. The penalty for beating your wife is "read the Quran". Women are forced/bullied into these courts. Muslims start off peaceful but when their numbers are up the demands come. They have even passed laws to protect themselves from criticism. You have let them into the U.S. it'll happen to you too.
I was recently subjected to an incident of islamophobia. My friends and I were waking down the street when these punks in a truck drive past us and start calling us terrorists and said fuck allah. They did this many times, circling the block. It was appalling as is. But the fact that I am an Indian and atheist, makes it only worse. I don't have absolutely nothing to do with Islam. Before I actually looked into all of this, I thought that they were going to build a Mosque literally on Ground Zero. It just didn't make sense. It didn't sound right, I had to look it up.

I have a new found respect for this man. The fact that he conducted his own 'investigation', it shows he has the slightest bit of intelligence. He (as many other people will find if they bother to even scratch beneath the surface) was able to dispell the media perpetuated myths. Coming to the conclusion that this 'mosque' is infact a community centre, 2 blocks from GZ and by continuing to protest against it, you're effectively further alienating the good, law-abiding members of the community.

I think it's right to be concerned about islam. It's not a religion of peace. It's about as distant from a religion of peace as possible, and anyone who thinks it is a religion of peace is seriously delusional. The only problem with islamic fundamentalists is the fundamentals of islam. Moderate muslims have to reconcile their beliefs with the violence of their koran and answer for why - when there is so much violence related to religion, is most of it committed by the religion of peace?

This video was illuminating of something that I find to be repugnant and infuriating which is the adherence to religion of any kind in legislation of actual law and enforcement of any statute or law based on a spirit of religious roots. I hold based on the glaringly clear historical evidence I have so far examined, that all religion is man-made and farcical for the purpose of controlling territory and resources and it is obsolete in this era. The penalty for beating your wife is "read the Quran". Women are forced/bullied into these courts. Muslims start off peaceful but when their numbers are up the demands come. I was recently subjected to an incident of islamophobia. My friends and I were waking down the street when these punks in a truck drive past us and start calling us terrorists and said fuck allah. They did this many times, circling the block. It was appalling as is. But the fact that I am an Indian and atheist, makes it only worse. I don't have absolutely nothing to do with Islam. @1989hta First thanks for being considerate in your answer (except for the last line, since Israel wouldn't have become a state if Palestinians (Jews, Muslims, and Christians) were allowed to vote). Second, the fact that you can't enter the country with an Arab (99.5% Muslim for most Arab states) passport is segregation based on religion. Finally, refugees (that became so because of Israel) don't come because they CAN'T worship elsewhere, but because Israel is on holy land; they're visiting it.

But when did that ever happen recently? Can you honestly say that most of the casualty victims were near hallowed ground? Or just caught in the crossfire? The chances of that was what happened is so small it's not even considered a value.

@1989hta thank you. i am a muslim and i've been to israel many times. some of the nicest people i've met were there. my entire family has NO PROBLEM against israelis or jewish people. some of the muslim countries i've been to are completely unfair and possibly retarded. however, i believe that israel is a democracy FOR israelis. palestinians aren't afforded the same courtesy. i believe that's the problem people are fighting with you about.
