Were there really two different diesel engines available in the 1982 and 1983 El Caminos, the 5.7L V8 and its 4.3L V6 derivative (the latter was dropped after 1983)?
@giberish9 ... Daryl Hannah doesn't use 'processed/additive biodiesel' in her El Camino ... She runs it on straight vegetable oil. Just pours the used fryolator grease through a 10 micron filter and then pumps it into the vehicle. Rudolf Diesel himself at expositions ran his engine on peanut oil.
The engine wouldn't gunk up. In fact, it will less than petrol or regular bio-diesel as the diluted bio-diesel acts as a lubricant, and is similar in texture to an engine cleaner.
My brother in law built a biodiesel plant in Crawfordsville IA. He said he met Daryl Hannah at a biodiesel convention or somethin in CA and she was very nice. shes very pretty as well!
