I remember Wonder Bread's Boyerton-bodied step-vans had this little engine and I always thought they sounded awesome. They smoked a lot, too.

Yeah I love the sound of the 3-53 and the 6V-53 as well. I used to be a volunteer fireman many years ago and we dropped a 6V-53T in one of our older rigs which replaced a 906 cubic inch V-12 gas. When they were dropping the RPM's in this video it brought back many memories of the old truck that is exactly how IT sounded.

Makes me miss my Staionary 353 Power units that we had on our A.C.D.'s (bunner machines) we used for land clearing would like to have a little 353T or 453T In a Pick up AGAIN ;)
