MSi Wind Top AE2220 All In One Touch Screen PC Unboxing

Touchscreens on desktop computers/monitors make no sense and are absolutely unnecessary. Your arm just gets tired. Furthermore, the screen on this MSI probably uses cheap TN panel technology with bad colour contrast and blurry view, which doesn't compare to a good quality Apple monitor with IPS panel. I really like the design of the Wind Top (which is stolen from an old Apple monitor design), but there are so many disadvantages that I'm not going to mention, as I would have to write a novel :|

i need a help , i hav this MSI wind for 2 years which was running on windows Xp but it became slow then i changed the system to windows 7, but the problem is that i lost the control of touch screen and i cant set it, as there any way to instal MSI Wind Touch on windows 7? thannx for the unswer..

@fecite Might be stupid idea but you might want to download Windows 8 beta as it's much more touch-screen oriented then win7. Not sure if your system can take it.

Apple aren't bothering with this crap because it doesn't work. It's a gimmick. Who honestly wants to spend all day touching the screen that's standing up vertically? Talk about ergonomic nightmare. Steve Jobs explained this when introducing the new MacBook Air. It's fine for a few moments or as say an interactive store display, but as an every day thing, it's just stupid.

This is a really nice looking unit. I saw this already on the Cebit 2010 and I had the chance to test it at the msi booth. It is really a joy to use the touch panel because it is multitouch. But the main issue I had with it, was the shiny screen. For my opinion this is too glossy and sometimes if you don´t have the perfect viewing angle it is hard to watch. But that´s just my opinion. @momojabada I have custom I7 build myself,, , ,but i still love the elegance of Apple computers, maybe you dont have much money to afford Macs, but other people do, and when they do buy an Imac, they want to turn it on and start using it straight away without software installations, drivers etc. Plus, in terms of looks, there is nothing that compares to Apple systems, ,not everything is about money !!

its because HP is name brand for computers, and MSi is name brand for computer components. even though MSi is really popular you're gonna have a bunch of noobs thinking " well its cheap price, probably cheaply built, cuz i've never heard of this computer company." cuz all they've heard of is HP, Compaq, Dell, SOny, and Mac.

trouble with touchscreens is your fingers dont have built in memory for macros and after hours of use the blood is gna start draining out ur arm. if all you do is watch films all day however though they're brilliant

Unboxing, like deflowering is to be approached slowly. Not like little Jimmy with his Xmas present when he was five. Other manufacturers do not spend the time that Steve Jobs does on the unveiling, but even in the land of Wintel there is some consideration of how the box will be unpacked.

Biggest issue: It picks up fingerprints like a bitch by the looks of it. Possibly the least physically attractive feature of anything featuring a touchscreen. Nice stuff though, would love to see how it performs, and how well they substitute the keyboard

@BrixXSM to be fair, a glossy display does look a thousand times better than the matte style LCD display. fingerprints or not, you can see in the accessories bundle that it comes with a stylus to prevent that. MSi probably did the testing with a few different display screen styles and glossy display screens (smooth vs. the stuck when you scratch and makes a zipper-like noise, i forget the name but i think it is matte style display screen.) are just more awesome :P
