The one on her left is a red bird... unless the tattoo's so obscene that it can't be shown (and, really, what could be worse than that eyeshadow?) it's just very, very annoying!!!
That just goes to show you American prisons and the American judicial system is wayyyyyy too harsh...some people get ridiculous sentences that don't even fit the crimes they've committed turning them into more of a career criminal than they were before because they'll never be able to get a regular job or a decent job with their criminal records.
