  • Serato ITCH 3.0 wishlist: contiued support for numark v7. New effects like loop roll for older devices by pressing a button on computer, just an option that changes the loop function on v7 and other devices to loop roll.

  • DEAR SANTA,

  • So it works on v7?

  • would serato ITCH 2.0 work with numark mixdeck?

  • Only problem is.. the new sync does not work properly! wont sync, and cant be turned off. at least on my NS7

  • Do you need one of those stupid controller things or can you run this on an SL3/SL4?

  • don't understand the attraction of serato anymore, when software like traktor is available now, can't they at least update that god awful looking interface, it looks like something designed for windows 98...

  • @veryniggardly burn

  • I prefer traktor, but its about what suits you best

  • I have a Numark V7

: How can I switch between the 4 decks on Serato 2.0? Pleasehelp!

  • @Born2WinBIg77 Not possible (yet) so far Xone DX is the only itch controller capable of 4 deck mixing.

  • can you interact with the sampler, scratch and what not while 2 tracks are running?

  • @5pinitMusic go away......

  • There's a stinky bug with the sync button.

  • Yeah, because we all know that gear = skill in the DJ world

    amirite?!1

  • The Sync function in 2.0 Suck...

  • how do you delete crates?

  • how much does this cost?

  • To perform on turntables at the standards of DMC champions then I agree but other than that and you're just doing bread and butter stuff.

Skill and mastery come from within the individual regardless of the platform being used.

  • Dont really see the big deal about using sync tbh. Beatmatching is such a basic and boring skill for a dj. I could stand there for 20 seconds at the start and end of each tune beatmatching, or i could instead focus on the sound of the mix through fx, or layer in a third or even fourth tune into the mix, or record and remix live samples maybe even do a little cuepoint juggling or hell just stand there and watch the crowd to get some feedback. Beatmatching is dying and i'm glad as hell. VIVA sync.

  • There seems to be this big thing about "sync" . Does owning a GTR35 or any other high performance car that has "traction control" make it a shit car, or the driver a bad one for using it ?

Just because a function is there it doesn't mean you have to use it and the sync feature can be used to give the DJ one less thing to worry about so he can be more creative with other features of the program.

  • Any idiot can sync up audio and play it live for people. The only skill the average DJ has is finding the right stuff to mix together. I'll give musical props for that, but anyone who isn't producing their own material is just another hackjob.

  • maybe traktor was a misfire...

  • i thought it was a itching device , for your back or something :)

  • There are more DJ's that started out with turntables that don't use them now than there are DJ's that still use them.

If I go out and buy a set of expensive golf clubs, it doesn't make me a pro golfer (cause only real golfers use them).

If you buy a set of turntables it doesn't automatically make you a "real dj". There is much more to being a "real dj" than just having 2 turntables.

  • @soulinception tottaly agree mate

  • @soulinception

thats very true. However at the end of the day some people (myself included as a serato user) still like the feel of vinyl on turntables, and with the various digital emulation software around we get all the perks of using digital music.

    Either way is great imo!

  • @soulinception Maybe not but anyone can use ' software ' click AUTO PITCH and mix 2 tracks together and go look im a dj , how many people can can pitch and mix 2 records together ?

So the term ' real dj ' stems from peoples belief that true dj's use (or i should say) can use vinyls , most dont now as production dj's (tiesto etc) make a tune and can take that any where as a filecd much easier than making a dubplate/ full release.

If you are a good dj and do gigs regular then you are a real dj

  • Real DJ's use vinyl like real TV watchers watch TV on a black & white set. They don't have direct TV, they watch ON TV. There is no such thing as a real DJ now. That area is OVER WITH!

  • @namkooc ..real dj's use vinyl ? would that be a timecoded piece of vinyl and laptop then ?

cause if you mean "real vinyl" then you can't even buy the stuff you need these day's purely on vinyl and how many clubs these day's have or install turntables now ?.

You were still shittin in your nappy when "real" vinyl was being used, the only real vinyl you've seen is probably your dad's collection.

  • Cool :D

  • this looks like a pimped version of virtual dj

  • Evolve

  • Search: TheRokisaProductions and click on the only video

    You'll. Not. Regret.

    ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓

  • Traktor Pro is much better and cheaper!

  • Nowadays using vinyls has become useless. But I really preferred the old system in wich the good DJ was the one goin from one discs shop to another, travelling and learning and discovering new stuff owned only by him. Every disc was a conques, and every Dj had something different to offer. Now, you could as well look for "Paul karlkbrenner discography" on emule and put the automix.

  • I am getting tired of companies using faggot ass Europeans to do voice-overs.

  • whatever, I don't care what purists think, I've been doing gigs without turntables lately thanks to my needles breaking and not replacing them...NO ONE OTHER THAN THE DJ GIVES A DAMN WHAT YOU USE...who cares as long as everyone has a good time

  • Dam I NEED THIS!!! BUT NO CASH )=

  • my left buttock is itching....

  • it wishes it was traktor 2 i think....

  • there really needs to be snap and quantize features in both itch and scratch live. till then traktor and ableton will be better

  • my nuts itch lol

  • I used to love being a DJ, and yes, I even won awards doing it. The problem was, I got tired of barely being able to pay my bills, and the cheap-ass club owners were living the high life. I don't ever want to hear words from a club owners lips again... well, unless it's something like... they have 2 weeks to live.

  • real djs still use vinyl

  • @namkooc Yep, and I'm one of them. Turntablism FTW!

  • @namkooc Real djs dont comment on youtube videos.

  • @namkooc have you ever tried the v7s ?

  • @namkooc try using that argument against qbert...he uses timecode...

    don't be an ignoramus

  • @namkooc any of the djs that are selling out venues and getting their tickets scalped for 5 times the price are mostly using digital... prolly ableton live.

  • @namkooc so laidback luke, dj chuckie, tiesto, peace treaty arent real DJs?

  • @Reaper0143 no

  • @Reaper0143 nope ... they're just sequencing stuff on their keyboard ..... if you use smart sync then it isn't the deejay that is smart anymore!

  • @jahfish2006 they dont use sync. watch laidback luke's live performance and TRUST ME he uses all skill

  • @Reaper0143 andy c and the vinyl warriors > tiesto and the cdj crew

sorry, thats just how life is.

  • @metalsinani laidbackluke, skrillex, tiesto worldly know > Vinyl DJs not as many, Vinyl Djs are dying. There arent the BEST BEST but they still hold onto that old classic skill thats rare. no hate for them though

  • @Reaper0143 i swear skrillex doesnt even mix live haha

im not saying playing vinyl automatically makes you good or djs who play one are better than the other. im saying give me ten tunes on vinyl then the same ten on cd, and the vinyl ones will be more fun to mix, will sound better, will have more resale value, and require more skill and mastery to mix. theres is just no downside besides the cost for me :)

  • @Reaper0143 no......laidback luke, dj chuckie, tiesto, peace treaty are SUPER DJs!!

  • @U4rikSound yes they are. some of the best

  • @namkooc stop being narrow. cdjs are here and here to stay. dont get me wrong. Vinyls are still my preferred way. But it doesnt mean Djs who use cdjs or digital are "not" real djs. People who are refuse to welcome technology are bound to be replaced by them.

  • @namkooc - real dj's don't want to carry all their vinyl with them

  • @namkooc go on son !

  • @namkooc You don't have to use vinyl to be a dj, it really just gives you more opportunity to express yourself. As long as theres no sync im fine.

  • @namkooc so your mom still uses my vinyl (;

  • why mention my mum? dickhead

  • @namkooc cus she does like my dickhead (;

  • @namkooc phsss yeah right. the hardest djs use cassetes. ONE DECK ONLY. now that's skill.

  • All you noobs need to stop using the sync button so much (I use it too sometimes when I have to do a transition build from a hip hop tempo(95bmp) to e-hop(128bpm). Plus read the manual! Don't ask for fix this fix that here, go to the ITCH forum and show them your problem!! Problems are solved there much faster and you have direct contact with the developers through Pene and others.

  • Traktor is still better ha

  • @BiGKiDXavieR I agree...well...traktor scratch pro 2 anyways :)

  • I didn't download this yet but I'm excited with the features. A couple months ago I requested Serato Support for four deck support and they said no way....well, it's good to see they said yes way and then some! Kudos Serato!!!! I was about to go to Virtual DJ Pro 7 Full but I'm holding off until I get to play with this a little with my V7.

  • I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE PITCH/SYNC TOO... SMH!

  • Something is not right about the sync. It doesnt work all the time. Maybe i'm doing something wrong. Had to go back to the old version i'm comfortable with.

  • @S4MUZIK I DON'T BLAME U, I SWITCHED BACK TO THE PREVIOUS VERSION MYSELF.

  • Change the game???.. how about change the sync buttons like they were instead of all the work I have to do in order to get a sync.

  • I work with Itch n Scratch live i love them both.. I think Scratch live n Itch should just make just come together to make 1 bad ass Software

  • Its crazy vci 300 mk works find wid the software the sync u for too manually click it off at the top where u see sync

  • Can we get day/night mode display in scratch live pls

  • it's great that this went official. But now we need scratch live 2.3 to go official. With lion support

  • tune

  • having problems with the sync feature. Press it once and it doesn't go out

  • @shampainTV YEAH, THEY NEED TO HURRY AND FIX IT!

  • I think you'll need to grid the tracks. just like traktor.

    @shampainTV

  • After using the version for the better part of 20 hours ITCH 2.0(098) which is now the official release as of 1st August, I have had the software crash 8 times, usually while browsing with the NS7's user interface, I will not be using this software, nor will I recommend it to be used at a gig until the bugs are completely ironed out - given Serato and its poor history with version 1.7, I doubt that a working update will be available - for quite some time IMO

  • Hell yeah. Gonna be playing around all day tomorrow now.

  • yes finally!!! wooooo!!!

  • yes , yes , yes!!

  • v cool

  • took long enough

  • zomg its here!

  • I've had an ITCH for this software for a long time ;D

  • ITCH is the best.
