Those two can probably be a match to Muay Thai, but not Muay Boran. Muay Boran is a deadly martial art in my country, so it is not taught anymore. Please don't diss something you don't even know anything about. That is a discrimination to our culture.

The main difference between Muay Boran (ancient boxing) and Muaythai. Muay Boran basically had no rules, where in the 19c Muay Thai gradually came into fashion. Muay Boran was very deadly and close range based, while Muay Thai uses less violent attacks at a longer range (if you look at Muay Thai fights they will go in and out of range instead of staying at a close distance.) That's basic differance between the 2.

A little bit of history for those who are interested, Muay Boran is a more ancient version of Muay Tai. The difference with Muay Boran is that the stance is a lower than in Muay Tai, allowing for more agility. Also instead of 8 points of contact Muay Boran has 9, fists, legs, knees, elbows and head (the 9th, Muay Boran only). :)
