@gypsy5724: Clapping is not from Islam and was discouraged by the prophet (saw). But I'm sure there are those that will flame me for this statement. :-/
Unfortunately Japanese people tend to be very susceptible to foreign religions. They're easily duped by these type of people. It's a flaw in their character to be too nice and trusting. It also the reason why Multi Level Marketing (pyramid schemes) work so well in Japan. Such a nice people for the most part, it's sad to see a video like this.
Is it true that there is blatant shirk in many parts of the Qasida Burda? See goo . gl / TQAKB for the truth -- In particular, "when major calamity strikes" is better translated as "when the Encompassing Event befalls" i.e. the Day of Judgment when only the Prophet (peace be upon him) will intercede when everyone else will only say "nafsi nafsi"
and hereeeeeeeeeeee comessssssss theeeeeeeee: The Bid'ah brigade.... spamming YouTube video's with their learned views. thank you so much dark light for giving us some fantastic analysis, ie taking everything out of context... Maybe, (Just maybe) if you didn't take things literally you could be considered 'open minded.' Perhaps. You seem a few sandwiches short of a picnic (don't take that literally)
With all respect, realising this poem is unacceptable from many angles is not something that makes me a scholar, or even an internet scholar - if you really want to see those, check out yahoo answers!...cringeworthy stuff there.
be open, try to accept others' opinion. it doesn't mean you don't like it, and you say it is bidaah, shirk or what-so-ever called, it doesn't mean you have the right to get mad to other people~~~~ *sigh* respect the differences, don't easily be upset. the inability to accept the variation among us, and close-minded to theirs only is the main reason why Musleem nowadays are hating each other. they are unable to respect others....
well, qasidah burdah was made to praise Rasulullah by the sahabats, to show how much they loved Muhammad The Messenger. It is not the thing that they do be shirk to Allah. Have you heard the word, "If you love Allah, then love His Messenger?" so that the thing is. it is not about worshiping other than Allah,.. derrrr~~~
the Nasheed is very nice but he needs to replace that line with Allah and not the Prophet Muhammed PBUH. because he is giving an atribute that belongs to allah to man even if it's the prophet. you are not alowed to give allahs atrabutes to man that is called shirk and you can end up in the hell fire because of it.
Yet again, Muslims objectify and exoticize other Muslims not by celebrating the diversity but having programs tailored so that the "other's" culture becomes an object of gawking. Pathetic. Allahul musta'an. Can't they just leave things as is?
In fact this statement is not taken out of context. The poem is ingrained with statements like these, giving the creation characteristic of Allah.
The poem makes an oath by the moon. As we know, giving an oath by other than Allah is again minor shirk. I can give more and more examples of these kinds of statements in the poem, but the above two are really enough for anyone who is sincere.
We all know that Allah is the real protector. If I say:in times of calamity, I have no one but to turn to my father. All muslims believe that Allah, the exalted, is the real protector. And still, no one will accuse me of shirk
We say that Sayyiduna Isa (عليه السلام) cured the blind people. But we all know that Allah cured them. And still, we muslims say this isn't shirk. Why? Because it's a figure of speech. In the Arabic language this figure of speech is called: majaz Aqli
If you want to understand the Qasidah Al Burdah, you must have full knowledge of the Arabic language. You can't blindly follow the English translation, because the Arabic language is not the same as the English language. The Arabic language for example, has a lot of figure of speech that the English language don't have. And if you translate the figure of speech of the Arabic language to English, one can understand the sentence wrong.

Does it sound nice? Yes.
Are the meanings acceptable? Not at all.
Take the line: "O noblest of creation, I have no one but you to turn to except you when major calamity strikes."
Ermm...isn't somebody forgetting Allah here?

If you take everything out of context, then you can understand the sentences wrong.
For example: If I say: 'Thanks to this medicine, I am now healthy.'
If you take my sentence out of context, someone may say: ermm, aren't you forgetting Allah here?
In this world, Allah has made Sabab for certain things. That's why this world is also called: 'Aalimul Asbaab.
