I was playing this album one day back in the 90s or the early 2000s. I don't remember when it was exactly but I remember thinking to myself that this song sounds a lot like the country music of today. I mean this as a compliment, too, because I like country music. I got this album for my birthday when I was about 13 or 14, btw.
A lot of today's country comes from the rock of the late 60s and the 70s. It has more to do with this than Hank Sr or Earnest Tubb.
