Hi im sorry to bother you but i wanted to ask a question about this Omega i have the same thing Caravan 2.5 DTI but there is a problem i have with it while driving it doesnt work properly i think the injector is not working i discconect the cable still doing the same thing if you can help me i would appricate that..Best regards Zimmy
I think you should make a (BOSCH) injector flow test. With this test you can check, if injectors work correct or if one (or more) of them fail working.
Incorrect working injectors need to be cleaned or, if that is without success, to be replaced.
For further information search for BOSCH and diesel injector. Also search for information of equivalent injectors and engine of BMW (M57D25). BMW used that engine for the BMW E39-series in BMW 525d.
I selected the straight-six-diesel, because it's strong, economical engine and - more important - the engine has been produced by BMW/Steyr (Opel 2.5 DTI / Y25DT is modified BMW M57D25-Diesel-engine).
I also like the remarkable space in the interior of the Omega Caravan, the driving comfort, the rear-wheel drive and the powertrain = combination of engine with the Hydramatic 5-speed-automatic-transmission
Wow, that is really interesting, I never knew that. I'm in love with the M57 engine, it's always been my dream to buy the M57TU2D30-TOP and fit it into a Omega because I really like the Omega and hope to buy one one day. (maybe in a couple of months, they are really cheap these days.)
I am surprised that they under-tuned it for the Omega though, because it seems to do worse MPG according the auto trader if you compared it to the 1998 M57 engine which is a 3.0 litre. :S
super! i love diesel engines! i myself drive 2.2 dti opel engine (in a Saab, though :) )
