I think Joe Cocker always seemed to naturally look better and cooler with the beard on.
He first grew it in late 1969 after Woodstock then shaved it off briefly in early 1970 then grew it again shortly after in the Spring of 1970 and has kept it on ever since.

His Overwhelming feeling & God like voice-huge but with tremendous nuance-makes all he wears cool.
This is sublime. Caring whether he wears pink or "too short" pants: these are wholly arbitrary, internalized negative judgements. The opposite of being in touch & cool actually.

I remember the 60's and 70's garb as cool, but now it appears unusual...now called retro. Joe Cocker was quite cool then, and still is super cool and amazing!! I love his recent Hard Knocks Album!
