Love the video. It shows well, what I consider to be a really well thought out, and well engineered solution, without redundancy of parts. Everything has a function both in use and in storage. I suspect that many people don't really need a large or long burning fire, so my vote would go to small and lightweight. Where I walk (see Mulhacen in winter), there is very little fuel to be had, so small would be best. Once again, great product.
Good design. The square design is both safer and stronger. You should get the price down to about $40. Then make the Titanium option at a higher price with an aluminum shield.
How much does the unit weigh? I have a small folding stove now but yours looks more versatile. I am considering it for a future purchase. The same design in a slightly smaller size would be nice. I use wood or a Triangia or a beer can alcohol burner. On a short hike I don't need that large a firebox. And with a bad back every ounce counts. Thanks for posting. It looks awesome.
Yes, a Titanium version is in the planning stages. Please let me take this opportunity to get your opinion about that subject. Would You rather have a modified, smaller-simpler version to save even more weight. Or the same design with all the features, that even in Titanium would weigh in at about a pound
@fireboxstove As I see it, something that stores that flat is pretty durable in itself, so I would say go for the smaller version in the titanium in order to have an ultralight option...Cool product btw!!!
