53Africa, these children originate from the rural area of Malawi, away from the big cities- most from rural Chewa and Yao villages- close to Chipoka (where Teen Missions has a base camp). I do not know where Madonna adopted her son but most of these children are not up for adoption- we try to teach them to embrace their rural culture and learn to garden and milk goats as opposed to completely westernizing them. Nobody knows for sure where HIV/AIDS originated but I hope to return to Africa soon!
