  • Wonderful

  • Fucking

  • like two musical dicks fucking my ears

  • There are no words to describe how beautiful this song is. The only thing that rivals this (for me) is Zappa's Watermelon in Easter Hay.

  • if only this song never ended

  • This music is like soulfood to me..Gentle warm & nourishing xxx

  • Way too much fade, and not enough weed

  • Wow...

  • Some people spread the word of god, well. I spread the word of bucketheads music :)

  • this cd was made for a joint and good headphones

  • This song defies description... so soothing, like a warm wax enema administered by a weeping Carmelite nun, as doves and bunnies prance and sway in the gentle moist breeze of eternity... am I right?!

  • @KingKook Yep.

  • I love you Michelle

  • Heard this on Pandora in the car... It felt like what I would equate to an "eargasm" or an ear-drum massage... its beautiful, meditaional, spiritual, chill...

loved the song on the spot, but didn't get the name of it! I told several people about it... and finally 2 weeks later it playes on Pandora (while I was on a ladder painting the house) and I stopped everything to write it down! lol

anyway, thanks and I love it! :D

  • @HillaryKeane glad you found the song. but i am surprised bucket was on pandora. i would he was not that mainstream.

  • @navebucketdude Pandora plays a lot of poppy and mainstream songs, but it came on my quick mix... Thats thanks to my Radiohead, Black Keys, Cranberries, Muse and Coldplay stations I suppose :) lol

  • @navebucketdude Pandora hardly plays only mainstream. Unless you choose Lady Gaga or such, of course =]. <3 Pandora.

  • @navebucketdude

Pandora doesn't just stream Mainstream music. They have A TON of music I've never even heard of.

  • really weird the way the sound goes from left to right every second...never heard a song do that so much

  • @GH3CustomSongs it's so cool sounding. it makes me feel like i am deep in a forest in a foreign land some were.

  • @navebucketdude quite the imagination you have =)

    shrooms much?

  • @GH3CustomSongs nah shrooms are a tad to hardcore for me.

  • @navebucketdude R U a teenager

  • @GH3CustomSongs it makes me feel like im spinning

  • @GH3CustomSongs The magic of rotary speakers, love it.

  • Hey guys! I got some lyrics for this song! Ahem.

    When the- *explodes*

  • wow such a great meaning behind this song

  • This song sends chills through your body with headphones on. It's very emotional.

  • EVERYONE needs to re listen to this with headphones!!! its so much better with headphones in. the sound just travels through your body..

  • @sk8rt33 Absolutely ! I can feel it flowing fast from one ear through my head to the other!

  • @sk8rt33 pretty much everything off the population overdrive has that effect because of that epic synth work

  • Setting off nuclear bombs is not only destructive to our only planet, but it's so reckless it's just flat out disrespectful.

  • fuck i love him playing slow hand sweet melodic stuff...this guy's amazing, fuckin enjoyable man

whats also amazing is that nobody's dissin slash here..finally that bullshit ended..theyre both awesome

  • wat can i say this song speaks for it self...!!!

  • buckethead actually has a vocalist but he never gets a chance to sing cuz he is in awe of bucketheads guitar solos

  • So much stereo... Its an awesome song but my head hurts..

  • @JackIntheBK

Yeah its mind blowing but more ways than one!

  • MY EARS!!! wow that was strange...strange and wonderful I mean.

  • man I love this album for the shear length and beauty of the tracks, also check out his COLMA and Electric Tears album, for those of you that haven't heard him before.

  • buckethead is god

  • this album is great! love my man for letting me borrow it!! =D

  • Awsome Just beautiful

  • Everytime I listen to buckethead my computer freezes but the song keeps playing so i take my computer to repair and the guy tells me no computer can handle that level of awesomeness.

  • @doktordmannypug i hate you.

  • This album is beyond words

  • @shredfaster what album is it

  • @crayZtaco7 well if you looked at the info it says "Cruel Reality of Nature by buckethead from the cd population override" sorry but don't be an ass

  • this song is padmasana level!!...which is the highest level a song can be!!..:P

  • @aLeXx1314 nah soothsayer is the highest level a song can be.

  • @ClayPeopleBroadcast also true..but i went for something a litle bit more relaxing and calm...

  • @ClayPeopleBroadcast or the whole electric tears album, i love my parents the whole colma album, sketches of spain, the way to heaven, angel monster.......buckethead is on a level all of his own

  • I either way want Buckethead to play at my funeral, be at his funeral or meet him before he does. I simply cannot find a single explanation to how can ANYBODY be so talented? Such a genius? Maybe I'll find out one day, maybe I won't.

  • @Seymroth sir you honestly have a chance. just if one of your family members could book him. it would cost a lot but i think he would do it.

  • @navebucketdude True, he actually would do that, I think. He's humble, not some "badass" rock star. If a real fan of his would ask him to play in his funeral (In a testament or whatever) he prolly would do it, maybe for a cost, but still. Only too bad he is older than me, he will most likely die before me.

    Luckily we DO have mp3s...

  • @Seymroth thats true. have you seen bucket live?

  • @navebucketdude

As for my personal agony, no. I live in Finland, and, heck, I don't think he comes here too often. At least I haven't heard of anything like that in the time I've been a fan. I've watched some live songs from youtube and watched the DVD (Young buckethead?) with the Delhi Creeps gig with my band's bassist, who is a huge BH fan too, but as I said before, never seen him live. Too bad, seriously. If he'd come to Finland it would truly be the best day of my life so far, easily.

  • @Seymroth then you need to come to the u.s.a and see him live it truly is amazing.

  • @Seymroth I saw him live at the recher theatre last year, and it totally changed my life, you should totally go see him in the u.s. sometime, he is the best.

  • @shredfaster Some people say he sucked live, at some concert as the wam-up of "That 1 guy" or something. I think that might've been around GH2, so it would've been logical if he had played some random shred crap for the kids.

If I'll ever travel to US, I'll DEFINITELY see him and/or Rush. Possibly my dream gig with a main band and a warm-up act would be Bucket and Rush. Seriously. That would be, as they say, pure eargasm. Ah, man, seriously, to see Bucket live... Or TALK to him! *faints*

  • @Seymroth "some people" are wrong i have seen him live(i took some videos of the show as proof) and it was great. honestly anyone who says he sucks live are just not fans of him.

  • @navebucketdude Well, they weren't actually his fans, more like fans of the main act.

It's interesting-There seems to be three ways you can think of Bucket, either way you hate him because "he's too freaky", you say he's a good shredder but nothing else or you love him from the bottom of your heart. Damn I pity the people who fall into the first two categories-They just don't know what they're missing.

  • @Seymroth i really do not like G&R or most of there fans. also i agree completely with your statement.

  • @navebucketdude Well, no offence to them, but G&R fans seem to see things a bit.. Black 'n' white. Slash: Underrated (O_o) God Buckethead: Overrated (O_O) freak that stole Slash's place. Also, what is G&R anyways? Axel and a bunch of guys he bitches to?

Seriously, the world needs more people like B. Seriously.

BTW, does Bucket/Brian have back problems? I hear he's around 6´4 or 6´5 (What's that in Centimeters anyways?). He seems to sort of hunch often.'Coz I sure know back problems suck...

  • @Seymroth i don't think he does? but G&R used to be ok but after G&R lies the bullshit alarm started to go off.

  • @navebucketdude Yeah, my point being that G&R has changed SO much it's really not the band anymore.

I read some threads about B's state. It seems like touring is taking it's toll on his back or something. Was around new year I think, don't know of the current state.

Just hope he'll be well so that I can go see him live :D

But seriously, why the FUCK does B tour in a friggen' VAN while total crap acts of talentless whacks travel around with their own planes and busses?!

  • @Seymroth because it is hardcore and old school. VANS FTW!!!

  • @navebucketdude Heh, gotta agree with that one xD

    But still, Badass Van=Badback Bucket

    Bacback Bucket=Me sad

  • @Seymroth yeah but that guy will never stop puting out albums. no matter how bad his back is.

  • @navebucketdude True... Heck, if he retires from touring maybe some Hardass fans can do a tribute band or two xD

BTW, as I might've asked you before, do you have MSN? If so, PM.

  • @Seymroth there are many people who do dress up like bucket and play about as half as good as him. also i do not know what msn is? i do have a skype and a last.fm account and a myspace. my username is the same for everything. so if you run in to a navebucketdude 95% of the time it is me.

  • @Seymroth You have the most impeccable taste in music I've ever come across. Buckethead and Rush...Wow, I would pay anything for a night of that.

  • @JJack887 Heh, thanks I guess :D

My top three artists (Bucket, Rush and Nobuo Uematsu) aren't really of the same genre (Prog/Hard rock, Soundtrack and... Erm, what's Bucket's genre again? Oh, right, ownage). I like them for different reasons as well.

Always when I listen to one of them I'm like "This is the best one of the three..." but then I listen to the other ones and think "No, this is the best..." and just go on and on th same way. I do listen to other stuff as well, though!

  • @Seymroth, um, not erm, erm sounds geeky, but be gloriously geeky: errrrrmmmmm

  • @ToolsnFire "Erm" rules.

  • @Seymroth I heard an old recording were he thanks his early teachers: Pebber Borwn, Max Mcguire and i think Paul Gilbert

  • Buckethead doesn't need lyrics he plays it

  • comparing will only lead you away from nowhere

  • my quote that I wrote especially for buckethead

this is bucketheads saying if he ever talked.

"Dont look at the sky, reach for stars, and dont stay with reality"

because we all know buckethead hates reality, its lame

  • Buckethead literally changed my life one day.

And I LOATH change. Take that for what it's worth.

  • The song is not the same without these youtube comment questions to think about.....

  • you dont get all of these philosophical questions with any other musician....

  • nature is not always cruel though , say someone does something to you , then you ask why would you do that ? they might say -well because i don't really care about you , then you can ask , why? if that doesn't work , then time will go on . usually if enough time goes on it will work.

  • @NickTheSlasherMgirk2 you are basically talking about social evolution. people are not cruel but nature is. look at the animals in nature they eat and kill each other to live. if they did not they will die. so in nature it is kill or be killed. in the same way we do but we wish not to really harm them. just to show domination.

  • @navebucketdude nature in man is same as nature in nature , nature in animals are same too . kill or be killed is an invention for people . a mental construction that we are first forced to learn , then live by . there is no need for the insecurity of showing domination either , animals may not be as sophisticated , but less is more , more is less . for example , they have more freedom . i couldn't tell you why they eat eachother .

  • @NickTheSlasherMgirk2 not really. kill or be killed is basically survival of the fittest. the animals eat each other because they have to in order to survive. man has changed nature (and still is) to make life easier. peoples actions are based on thoughts and morals. animals actions are based on the Instinct to live. thats why they "kill or be killed"

  • @navebucketdude there are too good quotes i like to study but hardly get the chance , one- "do i turn the wheel or does it turn me ?" two - "look at the ocean . but not the fish "

  • @NickTheSlasherMgirk2 but why not look at the fish. the fish are what make the ocean special.

  • @navebucketdude when the heart is motionless , the life force is motionless . man's heart is not originally evil . if he allows himself to be guided by his true nature , and is not led astray by passions and desires , his spirit will be free from need and his responces towards things unhapered . nevertheless , the errors of the heart ensnared by passions are often most profound . one cannot simply exchange one's temperment and return it immediatly to the simplicity of one's nature .

  • @NickTheSlasherMgirk2 that is kind of what i think.

  • @navebucketdude most truth about nature is contained in the yin-yang study . which basically indicates the nature of creation and destruction . perhaps that is why they eat eachother . perhaps that is why we make mistakes , to learn from them . ect.

  • bucket sounds like the best jamband guitarist but with a clear direction masterful

  • Bucketheadismyfriendandmakesmefeelgoodwhenifeelbad.

  • ripari lol

  • lol wtf XD

sempre a te te trovo su lo tubo XD

  • "...¿don't understand,... just what does he say?..."

  • oh my god

  • WTF are you talking about?

  • @gondorfyen111 have u ever seen any of his live videos????????? from what i can see u havent so stfu

  • your a joke

  • you are stupid and misinformed.

  • its awesome how buckethead can make 1 guitar sound like 3 at one time, truly amazing

  • @tails696 erik mongrain can but in a different way with tapping

  • This is the very first time I ever heard of Buckethead, and the very first time I've heard one of his songs. Already, I think this guy is totally amazing! This totally rocks!!!

  • my doctor says i need anger management. but i told him my anger leaves my body when buckethead picks up his guitar. so peaceful it makes my mind think about the world and where the human race has came over these years.

  • Amen! My doc wants me medicated for depression and anxiety, but all I need is a little buckethead to calm me down at the end of the day. I'm already seeing a huge difference. just goes to prove that buckethead is really good for the soul :)

  • same here he tells u everything with his music and never says a word peaceful

  • haha nice. what did he say after you told him that?

  • cruel reality for the HEART AND SOUL

  • madonna is drastically over rated-end of that sad tale

  • Words cannot express Buckethead's songs.

There's too much emotion in the fingers of Buckethead.

If ANYONE tried to make up lyrics and fit them with ANY of Buckethead's songs the universe will implode.

  • God! That was really beautiful.

  • buckethead doesn't need lyrics, he makes the strings sing when he touches them with his huge fingers

  • MJ - the loss of a legend

Buckethead - the loss of a god

i hope he stays around with us for years to come

  • Christ man...you scared the shit out of me for a second...until i read the last line, i at first thought you were saying buckethead had died!

  • Yes, me too. freaked for a second there O_o

  • Lol, this is how rumors get started.

    Long live BH!

  • the world needs truth like that !!!

  • Un vrai poète!

  • No one is the best guitar player out there. It is a group of people that play different genres because the best in the world are the ones that touch peoples souls. Buckethead is very i good at that i must say.

  • perfetc *__* 5 stars =)

  • paul gilbert to me is the best guitar player but buckethead is the best songwriter.

  • ...<3

  • Mt. Dumpling

  • this song is so beautiful, it's a masterpiece, it is depressing to think that he won't be around forever makin music like this...

  • buckethead makes art with noise

  • calling buckethead a guitarist is a MAJOR understatement. hes an artist in every sense of the word.

  • Buckethead is pretty much my favourite artist. I love how he puts so much raw emotion into his songs. People says "What the crap, there aren't any lyrics!" He doesn't need lyrics to convey the exact same emotion that he does with his guitar playing. People think he's stupid for not showing his face. If he did show his face, it would take away the mystery and the wonder from his shows. It's just so hard to explain how great and original of an artist he is. Truly one of a kind.

  • That's pretty much how I feel. And expressing feelings without words is something hard to do, and even harder to do it as perfectly as Buckethead does.

  • @inoodlezombie Amen. Besides, Buckethead and Brian Caroll are two different persons: Buckethead is the one with the mask, but without the mask, he's Brian, not Bucket.

  • @inoodlezombie he doesnt need words he speaks thru his guitar

  • There is absolutey NO DOUBT regarding Big B's ability to consistently wring emotions out of his guitar like one wrings water from a wet towel; so easy yet so breathtaking!!

This music pierces the deepest part of my psyche, moves me; lets me know that I am alive, that I FEEL.

THIS,,,,my friends,,,,is MY THERAPY!! Fuck paying some shrink $100/hour when simply ANYTHING Buckethead has blessed us with will work beautifully!

    Feeling good?.....OK!

    Sad?.....OK!

    Pissed Off?....chill! =D

  • Co-signed, 312cicagoadam!

This guy is astonishingly able to convey emotions and feelings that I feel calling him a guitar player is insulting. He's an absolutely stunning musician. We definitely need more people who refuse to accept the paradigmatic playing made before them.

  • Exactly how I felt man. His music HAS to have some sort of psychological touch to it, I know I wasn't the same person before I listened to him. If only more people could appreciate this and open their minds to what's really here.

  • this give me a reason to live

  • I think the best guitarests are the one that sacrifice to further extend there art.for example Jimi Hendrix, he loved his guitar. He loved his music. He was passionet playing it sacrifice everything to play it.

B.B King he named his guitar Lucille

Eric Clapton. Devoted his whole life to music and perfecting his skill.

nd Buckethead. Devoting his whole image to the guitar. His voice is the guitar. His face is the guitar. His body is tyhe guiar,His hand is the gutiar. Devotion is being the best

  • Lol, read that while listening to the music, made it sound so epic what you said XD

  • I know exactly what you mean. I don't really like Hendrix that much, but I know he deserves respect for everything he has ever done. He worked really hard on everything he made, and even if you don't like his stuff, you have to respect it.

  • essa letra existe. oq será q ela diz?... rsrs... uma emanação intima do desenvolvimento das realidads

  • linda musica

  • i think that...he's a very good guitarist... i don't know if he's the best one but look...could anybody tell me what "Best Guitarist" means... cuz a lot of people can play very very fast and play with very difficult techniques but still suck...right?...Buckethead can play fast and with different techniques but he doesn't need that... he just play with feeling... for example... "TOO MANY HUMANS" it blow my head off the first time I listen to it...

  • Kudos, CABC

He is an outstanding guitarist, not bothered by the musings of a few.

Buckethead is so deliciously irreverent that the status quo is sickening.

  • if you think bucket is not the best then never view one of my vids again

  • NEVER!!!!!

  • fine you are blocked

  • Who cares who's the best. There is no such thing.

  • he means bucket is the best

  • yeah, all it matters is if it comes from the heart..

  • who cares i like the SONG.....just let the song invade your skull...i dont even know who wrote this while i listen. just let the sound go. who cares who made it its an instrumental damn it

  • his chemistry with other artists is amazing

  • Over 20 albums of pure awesomeness. Buckethead is a legend

  • I hate how everyone argues about "Who is the best guitarist". Guitarists are like colors, everyone has their favorite and least favorite, but that doesn't mean you have to ridicule them.

  • you have no idea of music.

  • you are a fool

  • this is a reply to:

    "there IS a "best" guitarist."

  • I wish replies were right underneath the person you were replying to. It is so annoying.

  • Alucard007331 is completely right

  • Take colma, electric tears, and a couple of the songs from population override and put them all in the same listing. Thats how I sleep at night

  • me 2. except its 40 songs long so i hear it when i wake up :)

  • Thanks. Am new to the bucket and am entirely consumed. Missed him @ the State Theatre by 1 day...& I am not 1 2 go to concerts. Much prefer the slow stuff, so glad 2 get your assessment. Watched most of your vids and, while vastly impressed w/ his technical skill on the fast stuff;(the best I have ever seen) find it not to my liking. Thanks again

  • hes the shit and no one is as good as him and no one can beat him
