i was given one to ride the other day and i took it out today. small day 2 ft but i could not even paddle this thing. maybe too small? im 5'9 170lbs and the board is 5'8x 16 and tappers to 13. it has a whale fin tail <--- { and BRO! i could not ride this thing. is 5'8 too small or should i be trying harder? only took it out 1 day but after 1 hour i said it ws too small. : /

MrJb, Some do and some don't, depends on the rider's preference. The linseed oil that's used to treat the wood after shaping is traction enough for some, not enough for others.
