I always believed Killer Instinct to be what would happen if Mortal Kombat Vs. Street Fighter. I mean look at Jago for example...total rip of Ryu, even his fighting moves. And how the others resemble Mortal Kombat fighters.

@ChristianR021 Start with wind kick, small punch, quickly do the laser sword, 3 kick, sword, shadow wind kick, 3 kicks, shadow wind kick, 3 kicks hold down mk at beginning then do 3 hit ending, release quickly, hold down mp then D,DF,F release mp.

@scorpionexo400 you need the rom file with all its parts, downloadable from many websites, put that in a rom folder and make U64 search for each file. Then you need the CHD file (the hard disk image from the arcade machine) for U64 its called kinst.img i believe. Then point U64 to where that is located on your computer and click start rom. give yourself some credits or stick on free play then just go kick some ass!

@kidwon92 ive been observed that when it came out in my younger days but this game pretty much started the combo system because aftwards MK3 started doing combo systems and other games so on, and i mean combos you can link by pressing different buttons to make a chain combo not like a special move or a basically a super street fighter 2 lame combo's

@WebVMan Yeah, in the arcade the stages were pre-rendered on the Arcade hard disk so when you moved away it zoomed out. It was pretty revolutionary for its time.

That combo against Cinder at the end of the first bar of life was a work of art. I've come close to mastering Jago, and done a lot of his really difficult combos, such as the fireball followed by double-flying-kick starter, but I have never done anything like what you just did! Cool stuff.

And how the heck did you pull off those release moves in the combo against Eyedol! That's tough!

Though I did notice that you almost never used the release flying kick for extra speed.

Best fighting game ever. It'ssad that the SNES version was good, but nothing close to the graphics and gameplay of the Arcade version. I wish Rare would come up with KI 3 and a version for Wii (with the classic controller, cause with the Wii remote, this would suck big time).
