@anneallman1 Yeah, it's almost like some people forget that. It's about the MUSIC! Everything else is gravy. Or window dressing in this case. Still, there's an art to stage presence and all that goes with it, and some people are better at it than others. Don't know that much of the newer bands go in for anything like that nowadays.
@connorpolo: Adrian Belew plays guitar on some of the most seminal Bowie albums in the 70s ! Okay, he may appear like an unreliable car dealer, but he is an ace guitarist !
ah the infamous stage tour 1978 , bowie finally broke away from defries and his fortune could now be made by himself for himself , cut from mainman bowie started a new chapter, yet still much has been unreleased , what about LA 5 9 74 , the BBC have that .. but those jewbags will only release jewish bands ! studio work .. aladdinvain .. I have 6 mins worth .. where is zion ? cmon whats left of bowies archives should be for sale !
No it's not Sly & Robbie. It's George Murray on bass, Dennis Davis on drums, Carlos Alomar on rhythm guitar (also band leader) and Adrian Belew on lead guitar. George & David came from Stevie Wonder Band and was Bowie's guys for many years. Carlos played with Bowie for many years too up until the Serious Moonlight Tour. Carlos, Dennis, Carlos and George also played on Iggy Pop's "The Idiot" album (which Bowie produced). Saw these guys live many times. Great players!
Hey, that's Adrian Belew on guitar (the strat)! It might be nice to put his name as a tag/search term, because his fans are very devoted, and would love this! Does anyone know - is that Sly & Robbie in the rhythm section?
That may have come out wrong. Bowie is a God to me but I guess Im more of a Thin White Duke fan than the mainstream circa Serious Moonlight 80's period..
so i just thought about this....i wonder who cut off ziggy's hair when david killed him off. i wouldn't be able to imagine someone wanting to ever do that
Wow, this is great! I remember I had the show on video.... Great to see Sean Mayes on piano. Did you know he played in Fumble before that? Sadly, he died in 1995
the bassist is really good
