Well... Lordi is based off his own design of horror monsters. They sing about songs of different horror styles and make references to many old horror movies like, "Deadite Girls Gone Wild" being an obvious connection to the Deadites from Evil Dead. The group is known for their horror based songs and always dressing up. They refuse to be photographed outside costume. They just want to be known as "monsters of rock." GWAR on the other hand actually try and make political and social statements.
