  • I own this one to you have inspired me to pull it out of retirement

  • Comment removed

  • ahhh i had one and sold it now i have a wem copicat much better but it dont have sound on sound like the danelectro but the copicat compresses and sounds better

but the danelectro is a great pedal

  • I'm somewhat impressed and nothing digital impresses me but this internet thing.

  • 3:50 to about 3:53 sounds so fucking rad.

  • @Megadeth8908 Cocaine generally makes you more confident...

  • Can i create like a reverby effect or does it always repeat?

  • @ThirdElexis it is a delay , so get a spring king if you want reverb.

  • @Megadeth8908 he sounded good to my ears, if he did cocaine I don't think he would be able to afford any good equipment, so I am taking a stab in the dark, and saying, no he is not.

  • Ive been using mine for three years now. I most use it for tonal purposes. I fucking love it. Best pedal I've ever owned.

  • waste of money, u can hear the clicks and pops when adjustments are made, u might as well get a bottom of the barrel delay instead

  • Thanks for the quick, quiet-voiced narration and demo...Wahi' now owns the Danelectro Echo...and likes it!

  • haha, great! I like what you're playing. now I want that pedal ;)

  • Yah don't take that thing to an airport.

  • Thank you for uploading this video onto Youtube. I just purchased this product and did not know how to use it, but because of your video I am now able to use this device. I am having so much fun playing Chuck Berry and Eddie Cochrane on my Gretsch guitar.

  • Maann, what amp fo you use??

  • BUT IS TRUE BYPASS THIS PEDAL???

  • @MONDOCHITARRA lol i wouldnt expect it to be

  • Could you tune your guitar first ?

  • @GerardRebours it doesnt matter if its tuned if ur just jamming by yourself

  • pls tune your guitar body...

  • @magnussejberg tune the guitar body?

  • @thomasjeeh

how do you tune the body of a guitar?

  • @burntumber take a wood chisel and keep knocking chunks off till it sounds good to you.

  • I love this thing. Just listen to the guitar solo in the Incubus song "Pistola", possibly one of the coolest solos ever.

  • Is this true bypass?

  • LMAO

  • Thanks for the demo. I am debating getting either one of these or an MXR carbon copy. The MXR carbon copy costs 45 dollars more than this one.

  • @kulgion

never touched the carbon copy, but from demos i heard it sounds more authentic than the reel echo.

but the reel echo has more features, whacky sounds.

all depends on what you want to create

  • @kulgion

Hi, the mxr is very different than the danelectro.

The mxr is used by billy gibbons and matt pike.

    good buy!! :)

  • @kulgion 45 dollars well spent, BUT if you get a chance to get one of these as well, go for it !

  • carbon coppy is just a lot better quality over all in my opinion and danelectro is more of a cheap out for people like me with a penny pinching budget...

  • buy carbon copy!!!!!

  • @olaftheholy

south park jokes from 15 years ago weren`t funny then, or now ...m`kay?

and you might want to check your spelling before you post...m`kay?

  • i think i love this.

  • i had one of these years ago i got it to play shadows music there ok yes but there not the correct echo for hank marvin lol

i now use a quadraverb with patches suplied by Charlie hall

  • can you set it up so you can use it as an reverb or ´´echo´´? and is the sound on sound function something like a looppedal or is it just way too out of control to compare it with a looper? thanks.

  • @krullebol4

i think you're asking if you can use the delay and loop at the same time.

    you can't.

when using sound-on-sound, you just get your dry signal, no delays on top of the loop.

the looping/ S-O-S function isn't so great either. The Digitech PDS1002 is a lot better for it.

as a delay it's pretty cool. it doesn't sound like a REAL reel-echo, but is still lots of fun, and has nice sounds. if you're looking for a delay that's different from Boss and all the rest, try this out.

  • play some music with it

  • MY MUVEEEEE

  • tape delay is the best!

  • @burntumber I'd consider using this as a delay pedal for a theremin. It kind of seems better for something like that than for a guitar.

  • @bfv102290

there are better tape delay simulators out there.

the reel echo is good for noise making, it's very "tweak-able" and the sample feature can be fun. the oscillation is really bassy and might kill your amp over time.

  • @burntumber Does this self-oscillate?

  • Sounds awesome, but there's no tap tempo?

  • @bfv102290

it's based on the old tape echos, tap tempo didn't exist back then.

this is one of my fave delays though.

  • @burntumber u should demo all the settings including lofi and tube/solid state so we get an idea of what it sounds like.

  • @bfv102290

"in my day there was no TAP TEMPO, you kids these days tap tap taping eveything!" "GET OFF MY LAWN!"

Really this box isn't for that sort of thing, its for great surfy sounds, or late 60s damage... Tap tempo would just get in the way...

  • hi i use to have the old wem copy-cat echo.loop to loop is this the same it sounds pretty kool thanks for your video many thanks tony vk
