Did you notice that J-Bay contest? They put it off for a couple of days to catch up with the times. If it was SoCal they would have waited a month or two, let alone, have nothing even remotely close to J-Bay and been ever far behind progress.
There, see what I'm saying. I was dominatn a pointbreak left that last swell where we finally got sizable waves for the whole year if you showed up within the first 8 hours it was lucky 8 foot. Sunset Cliffs, HAaGH, it has to be 8 foot+ or it's longboard only. Don't let me down your longboard sensation. OS needs a combo swell. I'd rather wait a year for a week vacation to anywhere putting off SoCal & be ahead no problem. I'll bounce the lip 7 times in 210 feet, not in SoCal(Yah pumping, not).
Most SoCal surfers only think that the surf is great here. But in reality anywhere else in the world has better waves. In Huntington Beach they lower the surf report grade scale a notch and people really think it's good when it's fair. Then it's overcrowded to top it off. Put that combination together and no one really learns what good surfing is yet they talk like it is the greatest thing. Totally disillusioned enough to cop an attitude from some amature.

your a fucking retard, southern california has great surf, and famous breaks, sunset, windansea, etc. they wouldnt be so well talked about unless they were good. the only reason you think the breaks suck and close out on you is cuz you dont know shit about surfing, its called pumping dude, you do it to get ahead of the break, sunset actually does have great waves.
Well done Joe, tastful music and composition. I'm nostalgic for those back-lit afternoons at the cliffs. Those Plus Ones are stand out performers at Luscombs, Nobes and 'Slides!
