Adrain Peterson - the Brett Favre of running backs - great upside offset by too much downside. Favre played great a good portion of the time but threw too many picks, and not just ordinary picks, BACKBREAKING picks. Meanwhile Peterson makes a ton of great runs but has backbreaking fumbles. Put the two of them together and the 2009 NFCCG was a foregone conclusion.

Thomas was just as good as a rookie as Peterson, and Patrick Willis, Adams was damn good last year, and looks to become a game changer within the next few years. Landry will be a top 3 saftey soon. 1. The Raiders needed a QB, and you can't pass on the best arm since Elway.
2.The Lions...well...it is the lions, but then again, they did pick up a player with the pedigree of a young Randy Moss.
3.The Browns picked a franchise LT, and had just picked up Jamal Lewis.
4.The Buc's needed to make their defensive line younger, as it is needed, and Adams was a good pickup.
5.The Redskins had Clinton Portis, and needed a safety

I agree with Akal, Sidney will be a stud hopefully nest year but definately by 2009, he would be a top ten pick IMO if he was in this year's draft. As for Jackson, he needs to to develop, people just jump all over him because he is learning and making his mistake on the field instead of sitting the bench for 2-3 years like most QBs in the NFL.

agreed, chester was adrian (sort of) before adrian came, so chester is solid, he can put up 200 yd days, but adrian might be back this week or the next, time will tell, his knee is not that serious, although it kinda is to keep him from playing :)

Tavaris Jackson couldn't hit a bus if it ran over him. The only thing holding the 'Vikes back is their atrocious passing game and horrible wideouts. With this years depth the 'Vikes can't screw drafting a quality QB and WR (Possible someone like 'Dre Woodson and then Adarius Bowman).

when I say Tarvaris Jackson sucks, it is because he sucks. has nothing to do with skin color... if you want to go into stats then lets take a look at the Minnesota vs. Cowboy game, 64 total yards on the game... then look at the Cowboy's stats, Romo was in the 200's in passing yards........

Tarvaris Jackson could be a major threat at QB with the right refinement.
Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor have crazy skills in the running game. Our defense has potential to shut other teams down. Bottom line...I think our coaching staff sucks. It's not for lack of talent...they're just not utilized correctly.
