this is excellent and very well spoken. We ARE one of the richest countries in the world and we DO have some control over budget cuts. We elect our leaders. We need to hold them accountable.
These are hard economic times, but the drastic cuts to services for people with a DD in RI are unfair and backwards. People are not asking for anything special - just enough support to get thru a day without having to wear a diaper because there's no funding for personal support staff.
we are not rich. Budget cuts is a serious thing in which we have absolutely no comntrol over it. its not easy as you think, when we have different political parties, its SO difficult to agree on things. so, you just have to keep on your mind that we are a massive problems in all aspects of life esp. employment, education, etc.
Well spoken and I agree with you. Our values have become distorted and this is sad. We can do better!
