You have no idea how much I am diggin what you're saying. Kids will miss out on cartoons on all networks on Saturday morning. CBS, ABC, NBC, and FOX. I can't help but feel that my soon to be children have had something taken from them and they're not even here yet.

It was based off an arcade game.

I'm pretty sure it was a matter of the execs telling the writers, "We bought a license based on an arcade racing game called Pole Position. You basically drive a car around a track until time runs out. See if you can extend that premise to 30 minutes, try to shoe horn it into the generic 80s cartoon formula, and design the car so that we can sell it as toys with crap loads of accessories sold separately."

I remember trying to make replicas of these cars out of legos as a kid. I had minimal success at the least.

I love this song! I really like the Pole Position opening! This is also one of my favorites from the 80's. I'm glad they sell a few episodes of Pole Position on VHS. :)
