EVE online: Mining operation

Can someone with experience in eve please help me get a good setup on my thorax for primarily mining and mining op defence? There is so much stuff and i just need somewhere to start.

@maccas1329 a good starting point would be to check out Battleclinic you can find many nice fits there as well as advice on anything, add me ingame and I will help you out with fittings and such.

@KillaXxCactusx thanks for the advice, I fixed the issue---> frigate w/ drones :D I haven't played this game in a long time and drones are a new discovery for me; and yea i did join a noobish mining corp :) With my frigate im making a few million a day now and in two days im about to receive a retriever :)

@MrPartizanac Well if your looking for a new corp which mines and does training, check out entropraetorian academy which was set up soley to train players in what ever they want to do

Garbage in (rats in), garbage out (garbage cans out): continuously jettisoning 1 unit of velspar to leave behind garbage cans (dang appropriate name) , while mining for your own full shipboard load, has proven to be a nice payback for can flipper rats as evidenced by chat channels. Results: It works. Can flippers can be confused!

I mine with my main and 5 alts 4 in Hulks 1 in a orca :). make lots of isk that way.

when im to lazy to run a mission. I usually help new players out by, helping them make some isk by takeing them on a level 4 mission. and throwing them a few ships. im a ship builder so i have that luxury.

Great video. You guys are fully violating all those asteroids. My Mrs and I are just getting into the game now. Only thing is she really wants me to hold her hand the whole time! "Do the tutorials please!" I ask her. We'll be in 0.8 space and a super-lame pirate comes along. Almost with 100% consistency she'll send her drone to attack a Veldspar.

And when I warp home I always forget to pull my drone in, gets kind of expensive.

Atier is a bad miningsystem, just good enough for small corps... if you are more than 20 ppl you need more belts ;-)

@atomiccheese65 why not train for a Retriever? They are around 5 mill each, or buy a BPC off of contracts and build your own!

@atomiccheese65 yes, an industrial haha, you will sit mining a roid for hours and it will be very inefficient but if you want to afk mine and just check on it periodically to see when its full, other wise save up and skill up and get a mining barge (retriever) then train and skip to a hulk, worked well for me.

4 hours to make 20 mill with that? My frieghter made 30 mill during the 14 day trial. Too many little kids play that game so I didn't bother to buy a plex or pay for the game and gave the money to the person who helped me get it. (I got 30 mill as 1% of what he was making in Complexes when I was running him ammo, and picking off some of the stragglers.) It was a fun game, but the little kids were too annoying.

As for it is 20M Veldspare (60M Trit) 200,000,000M ISK ) to tell you the truth the youngest player i've seen is 13 and everyone else i know who plays EVE is over 20.

And the group I was with was full of like 6-8 year old brats that blew up 3 of my destroyers and wouldn't pay me back.

Also, there are no little kids in the later game, the difficulty kind of 'weeds them out'.

1) freighter cannot be trained inside 14 day, that impossible since freighter can take month to train, depending on people skill scheme

2) impossible you were able to buy a freighter inside 14 day, its over 600million ( depending on race )

The learning curve is steep enough that kids get bored with it, thats why the average age of an EVE player is 25 vs WOW's 19. I play wow as well and im not bashing it, but to say you ran in to to many little kids playing EVE just made me chuckle.
