just wondering if anyone can shed any light on a problem i have..i have a 93 superfour, it has lost it's spark but still turns over no problem, but i also noticed that the safety features have vanished,it now turns over when the side stand is down and when the clutch is not pulled in! whereas before it would not turn over cos of these supposed safety features..im really puzzled as to what the prob is..maybe generator? any info or help would be appreciated.
Is it a vtec 1 2 or 3? Coz these few come with the HISS. Maybe its got to do with that. I suggest having a honda dealer check your HISS if all the safety features have disappeared.
hi, no it is not the vtec, its the 1993 f3 standard model, i dont think it has the HISS but i had left it stood for a while starting occassionally, i started it the day this happened, it fired up fine, let it tick over for a while then switched off...never touched anything but when i tried to start it again it had died and the spark had gone, thats when i noticed it turning over with the stand down and clutch out, which i know it shouldnt even turn over when the stand is down and clutch out!
This is a serious problem. Its really hard to diagnose by just such symptoms my advice is like i said before send it over to a good mech who knows his way round a honda. If its not a vtec and no HISS then it would probably be a lil simpler you don't have to go back to a honda dealer.
LOL why $700, its legal. Went inspection without baffles in. This pipe has become a rarity as less then 20 S4's using it and no more allowed to be brought in. So whats on the road is legal. New ones are all illegal LOL
