@kikarocks100 ..not at all but that's neither here nor there. so tell me,in your infinate wisdom and opinion is every singer/musician that covers someone else's work also a loser?...if so then that makes just about every artist out there a loser too....including Ritchie Valens.! I'll admit that Marty's cover doesn't come close to Ritchie's but that doesn't make him a loser, just as Elvis isn't a loser but just about everything he did was a cover of someone else's work.!
@kikarocks100 wtf are you on about you stupid girl, you can't even answer a straight forward question, i never said Ritchie was a loser, you said anyone who covers his music is, seems to me you're the only loser around here.!
Low budget and amateur it may have been but in GB Ritchie Valens made no waves, but Marty Wilde was loved by the teenage crowd. Good song, well sung, thanks for posting.
Lot Of People Saw Marty As A Cover Version Merchant [Sobs] Aww Marty Was Gud Oozed Wiv Charisma Greeet Voice Not Bad Lukin EhEH No Wuunder The Girls Loved Him, And A Lovely Guy Thanku Marty
Haven't heard this for half a century - only playing it out of curiosity because someone said this version was better than Ritchie Valens original. Ritchie still sounds vulnerable and true and musical and rock and roll whereas Marty sounds... I'm afraid I can find no words to describe him.
Major "Doo Wop" sound! Quite wonderful.
