Mr. Kaizo, I saw your video at first two weeks ago, and I want to tell you that your music and the way you play amazed me very much! your performance make me start to dream about learning to play synthesizer, my humble opinion is that you are a great musician, greetings from México (excuse me if my english is not so good).
I've just bought a G2X: may I ask you a question? How can I program a patch to control each variation with a different midi channel? I would like to play it with a roland AX-7, changing only Variation to change sound (without changing bank): is it possible? what module have I to load?
I am definately toying with buying the g2x here in new zealand I found one in a shop at $3600 which is pretty good price, but it will be all of my money. should i get it or stick with soft synths? also how do you get the nord wave mellotron on your g2x?
Well, I think it depends on your performance style.
If you have a lots of live gigs as a rock or pop keyboardist, Nord Modular G2X gives you a nice agressive sound on the stage. Also the LOOKS will be impressive for the Audience.
If you are a DJ or DTM artist, soft synth is also OK. It's a little expensive for Techno, Trance, House music. But if you want to use heavy Bass sound on this kind of music, it will be Nice. I guess you will love the heavy sound.
horrible wtf is this

I love both, 2 of them are BEST combination!

@massia68 oh, difficult question. For solo synth it's moog. As a poly synth, it's Clavia!

But this machine has already stoped manufacturing! (That's a problem a little.)
So if you have a money + using a live performance, I recommend the Nord Wave. The sound is great as well as G2X.
As you listend to it, the Mellotron Sound is really amazing!!!!
>how do you get the nord wave mellotron on your g2x?
I connect Nord Wave to G2X with MIDI.
The next time I will upload the Nord Wave Video for the 2nd edition.
Please watch it, Thanks!
