@MysticalChicken I received this record in the mail randomly through one of those cd clubs when I was 15. That was about ten years ago. I listened and Stories has been one of my favorite albums since. -Every- -single- song on the album is good if not great. That is rare and holds a lot of value in my eyes. Thank you *not going to name* warehouse for sending a 15 year old cds in the mail illegally. Otherwise who knows if I would have discover this album...It was very forming for me at that age.

I started listening to Dry when I was in high school. Brings back memories of study hall sitting in the library reading Spin magazine! That's how I heard about her I think in 1993. She has definitely empowered me. She kind of helped shape my identity. Much love, girlie!

@theburden1: Like trainteeth said, don't confuse orthography and good writing. Ideas, stories, characters, metaphors, rhythm—a certain feeling for language, that's what it's about, and when you've got it no misspellings can ruin it.

What's important is to learn from the masters—could be a problem for you if you have grave reading problems. But in the age of audio books and reading software and amazing singers like PJ you can manage it. Go for it!

This is just a classic song. "Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea" is Polly's best album by a mile and this song is her masterpiece. No other song of hers seems to stir up the range of emotions like this one has. Great job, Polly.
