I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we love flying?
(2) Why do we enjoy to design and to build our own RC airship?
(3) What is the fun and joy to pilot an RC airship comparing with that of a RC plane?
(4) Why do we want to design and to build airship in this "jet-age"?

1) because we cant do it ourself.
2) Everyone want to build something they see.
3) Nobody has a RC airship.
4) Because not al things have to go very fast. Same reason why we still use boats.

About question 2, everyone want to build something that can actually function and allow us to show off in front of others. Am I correct?
About question 4, I agree with you. We need something to slow us down so that we can relax.

Maybe you can sell it to the Thai army.... they just bought one for surveillance and it fails, cannot fly higher than 3000 ft and leaks....
Kidding, don't deal with Thai government please! (I live here)
To make it work and worthwhile you should investigate in places and organisations who might use high altitude surveillance.
