They are not meant to be. The attraction is not strong enough. It may last indefinitely. However, another matter comes along and has a stronger pull that overrides all and any other. Eventually, that is what happens. Sometimes it can be hidden but never broken until the two no longer exist.

I completely agree with clanaheart .... I mean come on. They have to do something stupid to make lana seem like this totally different person in season 7 just so clois can end up together. I mean it's pretty obvious clois has got NO CHEMISTRY together and after all of these years, clana is just something they think that magically disappeared. Well to me, they're the life of smallville and without them, there wouldn't be any real loving in the show at all.

Yes they are very happy together. But we all know that Clark Kent and Lana Lang cannot end up together. Not because of Lois Lane. But because clark is a hero who has a destiny waiting for him and that he is inspire humanity. Clark is someone with great power and has great responsisbilities and Lana Lang knows. All of this you see in smllville is life he goes through ( temporary life) not his real life ( superman) and she cant be there with him.

As she said in season 7 episode 5 , she would like to hold him and never let him go. She also said that she doesn't want to be holding him back and that the world will one day need him more than her(lana). Right now clark is not superman but when he becomes superman then he will be on his own and Lana Lang cant be there with him and he will live her behind one day not to break her heart deliberatily but his duty and responsibility is important.

Incidently he does not end up with Lois Lane in the movies. I think he leaves her in superman 2. He cannot end with Lana Lang because of who he is and that his there for everyone in the world.

Lana will write her destiny, and that is her purpose to make sure he becomes the man he is meant to be...Lana will write her destiny for the sake of Clark Kent. She will be the person who will make Clark accomplish his own destiny. You know, when she said that the legion had a different role model, she meant their role model was Clark, and I think, she will soon realize that her role model is Clark as well. We have Lana to thank for reminding Clark everyday of his humanity.

this IS d sole reason why i watch SMALLVILLE... Clark&Lana. their overall story may it b d friendship or love story, IMHO is one of d main catalysts Y Clark would finally embrace his destiny/calling of being the Superhero we know; its because of this strong BOND that they share inspite of everything & how this BOND has positively influenced his outlook; 4 me, LANA is truly deserving of Clark not coz she's his HS frend/love, bt bcoz she BELIEVES in him as a person FIRST, than as a Superhero. ^_^

The creators of Smallville have been writing their own canon for years to great success but now they seem hellbent on turning it into another clone of the comic book and please those fans. This show has always been about Clark and Lana's love, so in this world I know that Clark would never stay with Lois. Eventually down the road, when he's accomplished all he was supposed to, he will break up with Lois (cause what do they common really) and end up with Lana again in Smallville, their home.

As you seen today: Lois will be 2nd choice and in the future Lana is known as the woman on Clarks side, the one who was part of the hero he becomes, she is known for the one who sacrifice more than anyone for him and proofs that no one loves him ever more than Lana. Kids will read their story. They will go in history. And on top of that she will have her own destiny too! AWESOME!!!

THIS is the breath of fresh air that this suffocatingly AWFUL season has been in such dire need of. Thank GOD for Clana! They saved the day! Kristom has it. OH do they have it! I'm sad that we're now one step closer to the end of Clana on SV, but it was sooooo good to see these two on the screen together, again. And their chemistry, even after all this time, was just as powerful as ever. And this scene, especially, really showed that!

Smallville is back and they nailed it to what we have been deprived of and missing since season 8 aired. Smallville came back with this episode, Legion. And the Clana was just exhilirating, refreshing, and rejuvenating. I can't wait for the rest of the Clana episodes...This episode more than anything gave me hope in Clana's future, after Metropolis, after Daily Planet, and into the 31st century, where they will be together again and be in love forever.
