john lennon - who fought for world peace thoughout his adult life and had a huge influence on young people during the vietnam war. he was a great role model
Jeff buckley - who was a good musician
Steve Erwin - who was a conservationist, spent a lot of money towards good causes, and fought for animal rights.
i mean, i can think of worst people and so many other musicians they could've targeted.

Well, the latest I heard (panicked call from friend at 6 Friday morn) was that sources had reported that 'influential' critics had called for the cancellation of the show and the ABC Board were meeting to discuss proceeding with the 'request'.
I read this to mean that it was a fait accompli

Everything they said about all of those people is true, so what's the problem? Stan Zenamic had a long history of horribly treating people both alive and dead, and in a serious way, not in a joking way. Stan's family to come out the way they did is astounding considering his own history.
