@132vic Hmm tough one....i really don't know what you did...could be the size of your eggs...could be the butter. but if you follow the amounts on the video..you shouldn't have a problem. :) thanks
@popkorn66 If you cant tell from the video the sauce should be shiny and bright yellow in color. It should be be thick enough to briefly hold a "ribbon" (also shown in the video). Another way to tell if you have the right consistency is if it will coat the back of a spoon well. Everything should be well emulsified also (so you shouldn't see bits of melted butter or god forbid chunks of accidentally scrambled eggs)
@yeusmarn13 Thank you..the best way to go is non-alcoholic White Wine you can buy from the store...vinegars contain some sort of alcohol....hope this helps
i have question in the part where you poached the eggs, after you cook them arent you supposed to put them on water w/ ice to stop the cooking process?
@stevescooking it seems like everytime i use all the butter it doesnt come out thick, very soupy like consistancy. Are you supposed 2 yolks like in your video? Or do you use more? thanks Travis
@trav1s27 The most important part of the hallandaise technique is whisking. yes 2 eggs to make the sauce..also be careful how much lemon juice you squeeze with the wine. It could be the size of your eggs. I'm not saying its an easy sauce to make because its not. just practice and you will get there..I hope its successful for you.
is there any shortcut way of doing hollandaise sauce?

clarified butter is better. it emulsify the sauce you are making. just saying :)

Gold! Looks awesome.
I notice you live in America now, are they more fussy about runny eggs over there? You can't beat a runny yolk!
Cenotaff 3 months ago
@Cenotaff Sad to say but yes....more fussy...and you cant beat a runny egg...I agree
cheers

@wikinic Depends when your serving them. I did this in real time so it wasn't necessary.
