sorry i am german but one of the reasons why i dont watch wetten dass is this horrible translation always. he should ask his questions and translate the answers shortly for the few people who dont understand english. most international guests even talk in a "nice" and easy understandable english as they know they are in a german show. this way its just annoying

Please can the german people just drop their language pride and fucking learn english, i´m from sweden and there isn´t a person over 15 here that doesn´t know english. Same goes out to spain and france English is and will probably always be the number one language.

The people watching this show are mostly 60 or older, the majority of young germans prefers other shows) ... Simply 'cause Wetten Dass and it's host are way to antiquated to be fun..

Here in Germany, almost every teenager knows how important english is. We young germans don't have a language pride, definitly. But the older ones don't speak english that well, so I don't think it's wrong if they translate it into German for them (even if it's horribly translated).

I've seen this show on TV in Germany years ago and the audience was not as huge as this! Now they have to have a screen on top of the stage to see who is onstage?? The talk-over is VERY annoying.

I am from germany and i hate it too. i just watched it and i felt like... WTF shuuut up synchronisation guys.. it really sucks. they should really do it in another way, like subtitles or the TV-host sums it up. but it really sucks in that way. Jen and Owen both got a nice voice and they english is easy to understand. So i dont get the point to leave it in english, would be much better. So thanks ZDF for destroying the interview with both nice actors.

By the way you have to see, that "Wetten dass...!" is shown on a TV Chanel (ZDF) which a lot of older people watch and often they can't understand english or read the subtitles.

I know this from my grandma and my older neighbours.

Even though some elderly people watch this show, it shouldn't be necessary to synchronize the foreign guests. In Denmark the TV-host just sums up what the guests have said, and that works very well... More over, you Germans don't learn how to pronounce the different English words when you synchronize every word spoken on TV and in movies... I know it's not just you Germans. The French, the Italians etc. do it as well...

i'm pretty sure that in denmark, they'd also dub their movies etc, if there was a bigger population (and therefore audience). don't forget that there is more than 100mio people who speak german as their native language in europe. so it's worth the effort to translate movies and hire actors for dubbing.

i really don't think that germans in general are lazier than the danish. its about the money of course :)

The host asks Owen if he would do a serious movie just to win a award, Owen says something about that he loves to make comedies....

After that they talk about they movie "Marley and Me".

Oh and he asks Owen if HE would undress for the Playboy because Jennifer refused to do it...
